Permanent exclusion

Can the school do this??
My child has been permanently excluded for shouting at one teacher and supposedly pushing her way through another on her way out of the class. Witnesses who were there say she did not push this teacher and she also claims and swears on God and the bible that she didnt push this teacher.
The school still said in the meeting that there were 13 year 8s who wrote that she did push the teacher but they did not investigate the other students who were there that said she did not.
We have had many calls regarding her behaviour but not towards teachers mostly for breaking basic school rules like eating in the corridors, missing deadlines, and wearing two earring studs which is not allowed in her school.
In the meeting we were given an option to manage move but im not sure if this option is still available for her. How do we get this option because we feel it will be alot suitable than being expelled for something she did not do.

Also my child is black do you think this has anything to do with it?

@lilsgree , the school may indeed be racist (racism is alive and kicking everywhere), but I think at this stage you have to accept the new school and try to start afresh.
I wouldn't want my child staying in a toxic environment where she's gotten as far as exclusion.
Posters have provided useful information on how to proceed.

Please know, based on what you have said- her docket is quite heavy with the litany of misdemeanours, which will no doubt have played a part in her swift exclusion.

She has an issue with authority- the school's and yours, so that has to be addressed. She cannot take these behaviours to her next school. In fact, she will probably now have to make an extra effort to comply, as that report will follow her, and a bias may have already been formed based on her past behaviour.

Even if the school is racist, you are not, so she should be listening to you when you reprimand her after school calls. I've told my daughter that I will fight for her, but I don't want the school calling me over some foolishness that can be avoided, so the school doesn't bother me unnecessarily. Presumably if the school was calling you for nonsensical things you wouldn't have needed to punish her.

I hope you can get this behaviour sorted and she can settle well into her new school and beyond.

No dont get this wrong, the calls have been for out of class behaviour with her not following rules. We dont normally get calls regarding her behaviour towards a teacher. I only mentioned race because her school has a history of extreme racism and she has come home multiple times complaining about how she gets treated compared to others.

Why is she at a school with a history of “extreme racism” I wouldn’t want my child somewhere like that regardless of their own skin colour 🤨

Yes she is. She is in the church choir and she attends church every Sunday and thursday.

This bears zero relevance to her behaviour. The two aren’t mutually exclusive.
