As in the EU? I don’t quite understand..

And which law exactly please?

So tell me which party are you leaning towards and why?

No not the EU - the European convention on Human Rights is separate. I quite like the additional oversight.

I have no idea which specific laws Reform object to - apparently there are thousands
“Scrap thousands of laws that hold back British business and damage productivity, including employment laws that make it riskier to hire people.”

ps I briefly browsed through their working draft contract.

I haven’t made my mind up yet. I prefer to hear from them all and then balance my needs with those of wider society. Others may be single issue voters.

@FastQuoter What is your ethnicity?

I’m Nigerian. Do you want to know my tribe as well? 😅

FastQuoter · 12/06/2024 00:31

Maggiethecat · 11/06/2024 22:33

Funny that is being questioned because of my comment

Surely you realise that people on this board might consider your support of Reform to be strange.

You’ve readily confirmed your nationality but seem reluctant to confirm ethnicity. Why?

I’m not hesitant just find it strange to want to know where exactly as if that will help you understand why I’ve opted to maybe vote for Reform. I’m Nigerian 😊

Also we need to get away from this mindset that just because I’m black I have to be or act a certain way. 😑 I have freedom of mind to do my own research and make calculated decisions based on that.

seedsandseeds · 12/06/2024 03:59

@FastQuoter You may wanna brush up on ethnicities if you plan to vote for reform.

Are you black Nigerian?

Haha incredible.

Haha incredible.

It is incredible indeed, that you would talk about voting for a party that its members have no problem voicing their disgusting racism. Why on earth would you vote for a party filled to the brim with people like that. They are telling us all, blatantly, what they think of people who look like "us". I would question the mindset of any black person, who told me that it was a good idea to vote Reform. Anyway you have had your fun, so crack on, and vote for whoever.🤐

seedsandseeds · 12/06/2024 10:18

LadyKenya · 12/06/2024 10:35

🤔

Yes.

Haha I expected that response 😂

Maggiethecat · 12/06/2024 14:05

So this is all just jokes for that poster 🤔

Yep, I would not bother taking them seriously at all.

seedsandseeds · 12/06/2024 18:23

It's either a joke or a personality and lifestyle that I predicted from their first comment.

Nigel farage wouldn't hesitate to revoke citizenship either

Maggiethecat · 12/06/2024 22:02

@seedsandseeds - curious about your prediction, think I may be a bit underexposed where I am!

FastQuoter · 14/06/2024 09:27

I’m curious to know what policies from the other parties (namely Labour) anyone is pleased about.

Reform so far in the debates is presenting a trajectory that will benefit British people first than foreigners, which has unfortunately been the case for the past decade - leading to inflation, unaffordable house prices and more.

Let’s not even get into what Labour’s Sadiq Khan has done to London for drivers 😡

LadyKenya · 14/06/2024 09:58

🥱

Corrected if for you. No need to thank me.

Yeah, well said. All these demands for ethnicity.British/ African should be enough surely?
As if anyone black can’t be rightwing or leaning to the right.
There are possibly more black MP’s in the Conservative Party than Labour and certainly more on the Front Bench in HOC.

sparkleowl · 14/06/2024 10:40

I’m mixed race and a Labour voter btw.

sparkleowl · 14/06/2024 10:45

I don’t support either the Conservatives or Reform or the Lib Dems or the Greens .
Had enough from the Conservatives to put me off for life.
Think Reform and Greens too one policy parties and the Lib Dems, well you only have to look at the leader.
I also don’t think race/skin colour means much when it comes to politics as we are all people who worry about NHS, education and the state of things.

Maggiethecat · 14/06/2024 12:34

I’m surprised that people have to keep spelling it out.

Of course everyone is primarily concerned about the economy and how it affects their standard of living, the NHS, education etc

But would you ignore the fact that a political party is very clear that it does not care for those who are non white British when casting your vote?

You cannot escape your blackness when considering political choices in this country I’m afraid.

sparkleowl · 14/06/2024 12:51

Labour hasn’t been ‘very clear’ that it doesn’t care for those who are non white British, and from what I see no other political party has either.
I know Diane Abbott has had many awful comments said about her from morons but think the present fuss around her is more about her being an older MP who sometimes appears slightly confused/ not on top of things and a friend of Jeremy Corbyn who seems to have had antisemitic views at times.
It isn’t always the ‘is it because I is black’ thing.

sparkleowl · 14/06/2024 12:52

I refuse to put my skin colour in the forefront of my political thinking.
