It's a tiny thing but I'm so happy to hear it's gone. The racism was like none other.

Only one person challenged the minstrel photo.

I'm still extremely wary as a lot of mc posters are here commenting on my threads and trolling the H&M threads.

Those screenshots are disgusting. We really have a long way to go despite people being committed to the idea that we are in a post-racial society (despite plenty of evidence that we aren't) and blaming people for shit stirring when they talk about their experiences.

There was a thread on this last night.
I'm glad you made a police report.
There were a lot of good mumsnetters genuinely shocked by what had gone on. A handful turned up to try and deny it all or saw nothing. I've never looked at the H and M threads on here, but slowly realising the bigger picture now. Horrible bunch of people.
I got someone posting me a wikipedia explanation of " Identity politics" ( not a term I'm fond of) last night obvs because I didn't understand what I was talking about calling it racism and was a bit hysterical, as someone else suggested. So they are still about, just in another disguise.

As well as yourself, there seems to be a fair few other MN singled out for the hate trolling treatment as well as a mod. I think it was just good people who called out racism, including a lovely Coronation Street fan.

Not enough words really, for these people.

You see them exposed in newspapers sometimes don't you? Always a bit inadequate, and so very sorry when found out, blah blah.

I'm always reminded of the Domestic violence threads and the references to DARVO when women are being abused by men.

My local FB crime and news groups are like this. It's not even hidden/anonymous. People are all shades of brazen. The posts that upset me the most are the ones where racism is downplayed, and it's all apparently in our head. And they're the true victims because the authorities only care about being politically correct.

I didn’t even know that place existed. I’ve read a little bit and I wish I could have stayed ignorant if it.

I was amazed it stood for so long. In a way it is encouraging the forum was struggling because it lacked members. So while it is disgusting and its size was shocking, it was and is dwindling in size.

I know only one poster challenged the inexcusable picture, but I believe many left the forum.

Yet sadly they are on mn mourning their marvellous forum.

Same here and I'd been on there since April. I stayed away from the Justine thread because it was pathetic and childish goading by people old enough to know better. Wasn't on H&M thread as that doesn't interest me.

Sadly, it appears one bad apple has spoiled the whole barrel.

I’ve de-lurked to say I was registered over there, and like @HelenaDove I also didn’t see the post. If I had, I would’ve directly challenged and reported too.

Im not an avid poster, nor do I have the time to read loads of posts. Not every person who registered an account there so they could post is racist, ignoring racism or trolling MN, but like @HelenaDove those that genuinely weren’t involved aren’t being believed.

@PatricksRum You and I have chatted before and I just want to commend you for standing firm through all of this. The abuse you received for trying to get a black MN set up was horrendous, and although I don't post on it, I had a quick peek and it is well used and successful.

As for the other place, because of my experience over there, you will know that the sense of relief I now have is immeasurable. I can post on here in peace. And I hope you get your peace too.

Exactly. More than one person was trying to rule the roost. A chickens comparison is quite apt, really. They were always clucking at something and staring into space.

They also doctored an image claiming I said I was Ghana girl.

I see admin is now claiming the racist image was immediately removed.

Funny that, as I screenshotted it on the 27th, two weeks after it was posted.
