Is anyone expecting a March baby?

I've just found out I'm pg following a mc in April at 12 weeks, so I need some company

Just back from scan, following a bleed on Tuesday - all ok though. The baby splodge on the screen apparently looked as it should - although all I could make out was the heartbeat. And even that only after it was pointed out!

I also agree about the fish & chips. Well the chips anyway. Had some last week - yum yum - really hit the spot.

I definitely DO NOT want fish and chips as last time I succumbed to the cravings of that while pregnant I ended up with food poisoning and puked all over the poor woman next to me on the train home!

Her fault though... I said 'you might want to move', she said 'what? no', I said but I am going to be sick, she clearly thought I was joking. Then she got puked on.

I agree Sam, my m/s has eased off and I am bit worried that I am imaginign it all. can't wait for the scan just to see the little thing and make sure it is actually there, heart beating etc. Am a bit worried that we will get there and they will tell me I have completely imaginied it! 10 weeks through, a quarter of the way already!

I've already done a count down calendar till when I can leave work and how much time I can have off!

camper be prepared for your consultant to have a fit at the thought of home birth on principal Make sure he/she gives you good reasons specific to your case why you aren't a good candidate, if that does happen. And then ignore him/her anyway, if you feel good about it, and your midwives feel good about it.

I had a scan yesterday, and all is well with the bean - 3.2cm now, so a bit more of a peanut (in the shell)??? Acutally, it looked like a tutle, with it's stubby little arms and legs. Next scan is just over a week away.

glad you had good news ocean breeze, sounds like you're having a beautiful splodge and the rest of us are currently growing peanuts, beans and other small pulses. lovely!

i guess by the end of this month we'll all be scanned and ready to launch into our 2nd trimester, wow what a thought!!

Yes Bunder, i thought the same thing re consultant. The prob is that I know the home birth midwives will be similarly distorted the other way. My overriding problem tho is convincing DH. His main concern is that we're 30 mins from the hosp and it may come quicker this time (bloody hope so... 36 hours!!!) and that if I need pain relief or intervention I'll be 30 mins from it. Might start a new thread to see what others think. I'm not going into detAils here as I didn't want to hear any labour stories last time!!

afterivf I hope you don't mind me stalking you after our chat on the conception boards, I just wanted to see if your 10 week scan went ok - I'm guessing from your inclusion on the March list it did Hope you can relax a bit more now and enjoy being pg, though I know first hand how nerve-wracking it is, so you might want to read that in the knowlege that I haven't taken my own advice! I'm on the Nov thread if you want to say hello Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy.

Well I'm booked in now

MW seems very nice, she got called away to a homebirth at the end so I was glad I was the first appointment! I went to work all misty eyed thinking of someone getting their little baby today.

She reckons thus far I appear to be low risk so can choose homebirth/hospital or the little MLU nearby. I don't think I'll pick the hospital (Gloucester) so it's a toss up between the Stroud unit (everyone says how lovely it is there, 1-1 care through labour, great food, several pools, ensuite delivery rooms, loads of good BF support etc) or home. I shall go and look at Stroud and see.

Just back from hols, i've moved myself in position on the list is that what i'm supposed to do? Its certainly got longer since i was last here! Congratulations everyone.

We've had a fab holiday, but i've been suffering with extreme tiredness since we got back! Dp was straight back to work and i've been struggling with dd3 (8mths) not liking her cot and screaming for hours with tiredness herself. Took the plunge and left her to cry tonight and she went off after 40mins i was broken hearted to hear her, but i just know when i go in and out it stresses her even more.

Oops just offloaded there and probably not the right place for that sort of offload is it! sorry.

Well i'm now going to try catching up on what i've missed.

Arghhh noooo I am still here. Have just been on holiday for 2 weeks, but back today.

Sorry to hear all the sad news, I haven't read every post as there are hundreds to catch up on but was really sad to hear of the losses.

I had a heavyish bleed on holiday and was convinced I was going to miscarry in some tiny little guest house in Monte Negro. It subsided after a day, but obviously still not a good thing. I have a scan booked for Sat morning so really hoping its not terrible news.

I am actually having a 10 week scan tomorrow. I am very nervous as I cannot seem to let myself believe that things are going to be OK. I am still finding it difficult to think that it might (finally) have worked. That is despite seeing the heartbeat three weeks ago.

I am due to have three scans in the next 4-5 weeks! (10 weeks, 12 week private nuchal and then the 14 week NHS one).....I am hoping that after all of that I will start to relax a little but at the moment fingers are crossed......

Good morning all. How are we all feeling as we plod along towards our 12 week scans?
Has anyone started to hate the smell of their own body?? I am really put off by mine, despite DH saying I smell fine- all i can smell is um i dunno, something sour! oh the shame

Off to see some good friends tonight, and need to try and hide the fact i'm not drinking. How sad that suspicions are roused just by me declining alcohol!

I definitely think things are changing. I've had a day or two when I haven't been quite so sick, followed by normal days when I am. I wonder whether it is beginning to lift though, so am hoping, hoping! Not had as many "must have" cravings.

Have been very, very emotional though! Poor DH must wonder what he's coming home to most nights It feels good to be so close to the 12 week point. Noticing a few trademark aches and pains - my pelvis feels as though it's going to snap by the end of the day. Hope everyone has a good weekend.

coraltoes I've noticied that my urine has started to stink, no symptoms of uti so think it is another delightful pregnancy symptom.

snapdragon I've been getting a lot of ache and twinges in the pelvic area too.

Good luck with scans bluebeach and afterivf. Nerve-wracking times.... It took about 15 seconds to find my turtle's heartbeat this time, and my own heart nearly stopped.

Well, by the end of this week, my baby will be the size of a lime. Anyone else find these food related comparisons a bit hilarious?

just checking in to say that the bleeding has now stopped - just a tiny, tiny bit of spotting.

Feeling very sick and stomach v.bloated. Boob agony and leaking milk - I finally stopped bfing DS2 at the weekend.

Have scan on Mon, which I hope will bring good news.

This week has been an absolute rollercoaster and I am hoping the worst is over.

Haven't been on here for AGES as have been mad-crazy-busy at work lately.
Anyway, all is ok.
Haven't read through all the zillions of posts yet but will do at some point! :)

My update:
9 weeks + 4 days now!
My sickness has been worse lately and I was sick last night but although feel crap all day it seems worse in the evenings these days.
Had my booking in appointment on fri 30th which all went well. They asked me a million questions, weighed and measured me, took my blood pressure, gave me my notes and a book full of info, oh and tried to take some blood but couldn't find any. :( I have rubbish veins.
Am waiting to hear about my 12-week scan date now. Hope they tell me soon and give me enough notice.

still at those of you who have had scans and heard/seen heartbeats! That is amazing and I can't wait for mine!
When do you think I will know the date of my scan? She said they do it any time from 11+6 to 13+6 and they just write and tell you when it will be. My booking-in was a week ago, should I have heard yet?

sfb I am empathising with your workload, I also work a full time job with long hours and also run my own business in my spare time (what spare time?), am completely knackered too!
Oooh and forgot to say - one of my customers (I mean of my business not my day job) asked me at the weekend if I am expecting a baby!! I was somewhat shocked that I must be showing already.
Still hoping that with careful choosing of outfits I can disguise it at work until after my scan. I certainly don't want to tell work before 12 weeks. Then my boss is on holiday for the 2 weeks from then so I won't be able to tell them until 14 weeks!! :)

superpenguin it varies so much from area to area it seems. My booking in is the sam date as my scan and blood tests 11+4. I hope you hear back soon.

me23 oh dont get me started on the smell of my pee. i hold my breath when i go to the loo these days- which is ALL THE TIME! haha

coraltoes lol, really your pee stinks!!! I thought it was usually food smells that made m/s worse!!
I think i may have good news on the vile taste i have been suffering from < whispers> it seems to have gone, although that hasn't necessarily stopped the nausea, but hey can't have everything [ wink] . Really have no idea how to add scan dates and copy and paste etc, but have dating scan 24/08 and Oscar scan 25/08. bluebeach notice we are due same day and your scan is 13th, you lucky thing to get it early !!

sam what is an oscar scan? just wondered why you having one scan a day after the another.

superpenguin I have my booking in on 27th then nuchal scan on 6th sept. so 10 days later. As long as it is before 13+6 they can do the combined screening. But the sooner the better we want to see our babies.

Welcome Evalongoria - we are a lovely bunch really hope you are feeling ok.
My dd and I went to visit a friend and stopped over last night - I had to tell her my news as once dd was in bed she got out the vodka ... she was very pleased and then happily fetched me some soft drinks, although she hammered the vodka (she likes her drink a little too much!!!) Anyway, I have told her to keep it to herself, although we don't have many mutual friends so it should be fine!

How is everyone feeling? I am still shattered!!
