evening all, hope m/s is easing slightly??? Mine seems to, fingers crosed, tailed off early this evening and i have actually had a meal, well, not sure if a plate of food which is a quarter of the size my son has is a meal but hey i was actually hungry had to drive on motorway today and was dreading it in case the situation arose that i might have been sick, but thankfully was ok, got DS to chat to me and had air con on full pelt!!!Sending hugs to those of you who still suffering.God i hope this is the start of the end of it ..please!!

Hello all and congrats to the newbies! We were all pretty quick off the mark with the thread I think- I feel like I have known about being pg for years already even though it is only nearly 6 weeks.

I have been napping whenever DD does the last few days. It's been lovely! I had an hour at lunchtime today. Am shattered now and was thinking of heading off to bed, but just noticed that there's some silly programme on about kids sleeping in half an hour, so might stay up for that! (could do with tips, DD only started sleeping through at 14 mo!)

Off to The Big Chill on Thurs, fingers crossed for sun!

I shall try once again to tell you how stupid I was last night. Out for post work drink with colleagues and I said in conversation 'last time I was pregnant...' Someone jumped on it immediately. I just carried on my sentence but it was sooo obvious. The girl who picked up on it and announced my slip to the table only got back from mat leave yesterday!!

hello ladies

I am a bit worn out - took the day off work yesterday to take DS2 to the hospital (routine eye appointment), and had envisaged a lovely day of catching up with the idiot box after I dropped him off at nursery, except I ended up doing a 3 hour photoshoot.

Got my followup scan this morning to check on blood clot progress. Bean seems to be hanging on in there at any rate, at least my tum is getting huger and the bleeding I was having has subsided. WIll let you know!

All the best to you SFB. Glad bleeding has subsided and the huger tum sounds good. Campervanfan eeek - sounds like your powers of speech are as good as mine at the mo . I seem to be losing my usual vocabulary and substituting odd words. Nor can I parallel park anymore.

Muser ahhh, there's only a couple of days in it. Anything could happen there. We'll have people leapfrogging with dates all over the place, you watch! Welcome mrsMullan. 10 weeks is pretty standard for booking - or was!

Must get a move on. DD due at optician in half an hour and at duo kid speed, it's about 20 mins walk....

is anyone else just a bit scared at the thought of m/s stopping and then worried that you've nothing to go on if you still feel pregnant????? Maybe just me, although i feel dog rough most of the day and sometimes cry for it to stop its a double edged sword as when it does how do i last til the next scan with no nausea to reassure me??!!!

Glad some of your MS is getting easier. I have had a couple of busy days out with DD and we have had a lovely time, though I was totally over the top with hand washing and hand gel at the farm..I don't think my friends caught on about the pregnancy
We are having a quiet and relaxing day at home today (the summer hols are brill)

Sam it goes through my mind all the time.. "what if it is all in my head?" I haven't had MS, but been knackered and ever increasing boobs! Can't wait to see Midwife next weds and then get dating scan booked in!!

sam I am feeling what you describe, apart from weeing a lot in the night and being exhausted I don't feel pregnant (and I was exhausted and needed to wee in the night before I was pregnant!) I'm worried I'll go to the scan and there will be bad news.
Luckliy I have my pre-arranged gynae scan from before I was pregnant next mon so should see bean then.

well scan was fine, bean is bouncing, the clot seems smaller and is below the sac so they say that's good news.

Now I just wish I hadn't eaten 2 massive rolls for dinner - if anything makes me puke, it will be overeating.

I agree with sam26oscar in some ways I'm happy about the nausea- its still hard to believe I'm pg despite 3 positive tests, but the sickness is a 'nice' reminder!

Nausea a bit harsher today, woke up feeling woozy, have had the odd nose bleed, so all text book symptoms. Need to keep eating all day, hot cross bun upon waking, then hot choc at work then fruit, yog, baked potato, apple, rice pudding, another yog...it is never ending! I dont feel like i need it as a reassurance though, would be happy to stick to the bloating, peeing, nose bleeds, light headedness and enormous boobs. Nausea tipping me over the edge of tolerance i think!

congrats sfb - that's such good news.
my bleeding is calming down loads and I have been feeling very sick all day.
Have scan on Mon, so will know for sure then but feeling a lot more positive than I was yesterday.
Craving fish and chips for dinner - can't get the thought out of my head.

Have the fish & chips lucy, I was amazed how good they were the other week!

(I was completely enraged on Sunday that the chip shop was closed, I wanted chips again damnit! )

i am so jealous of you all talking about food, can't face/stomach anything really getting me down thought being pg was good excuse to eat what i wanted (within reason!!) haven't eaten anything bigger than a childs plastic ikea bowl !!

Great news SFB. I had my checking in appt today, she said I might be able to have a home birth despite traumatic time with dd. Will see what consultant says at 12 week scan...
I'm off to sleep. Have been going to bed immediately after my 21 month old DD for the past week!!

I am still feeling pretty rough but got my scan date today (30th August) which cheered me up, have added it to list.
We are going away for the night to Hay-on-Wye tomorrow for our anniversary - really looking forward to it.
