Hi,

Is anyone expecting a March baby?

I've just found out I'm pg following a mc in April at 12 weeks, so I need some company

As you're having a big massive updating thing could I perhaps join? I'm currently due 27 Feb but expecting to be pushed back into March at my 12 week scan. And babies are always late anyway, right?

I'm putting myself down as first pregnancy but actually it's my third, have had one early mc and one ectopic previously. Been scanned twice so far and saw the heartbeat at 8 weeks. Just waiting for my 12 week now.

Yey nosleep so pleased for you. I have a patch of bleeding too, but no-one seems to worred about it, apparently it's very common, i had oe with DD too and she is fine, despite the heart stopping on and off spotting that aged me 10 years!

Still bleeding a bit but have been told not to worry too much by the hospital - chatted to lovely nurse who I actually know from my IUI sessions 2 years ago

Going for scan next Mon - hopefully little bean will be as lively as it was on Sat.

I've had no pains or major gushing of blood - just a trickle that comes and goes.

Not very nice but I guess things could be worse.

Hi All, Been on holiday for a week, don't delete me! Had a lovely relaxing week in devon, no work and the sun was shining...bliss. I feel so much better for having that week off.

Also had my booking in appointment last week which went well, I was a bit nervous after last time but the midwife was really nice and had obviously done her homework on my last notes. She said I can have an ELCS if I want as i had an EMCS last time, so it's nice to have the choice and not have to fight for it.

I've updated the stats with my scan date.

Jeffily that beef ragu with the ricotta balls? it looked delicious!! i keep meaning to try it but cant face cooking smells. Most i can endure is teh smell of toast. Thankfully DH is a great cook but i dont want to request anything as i know he is doing loads for me already, and then saying "actually love i'd like that beef ragu with ricotta and parmesan balls" seems a bit cheeky! Do let me know how it tastes!

you sound like you need a nap though...can't you slope off for one? I am going to ask my boss for siesta time at work. All the lights dimmed, pillows on desks and 30 mins down time.

hello all, I have just got back from my booking appt. It took ages!! All is fine though - she was very interested in my quick delivery last time and told me to get to the hospital in double quick time. Apparently the cervix dilates much faster second time around.....

Have to choose where I want to deliver. I like the sound of the birthing suite (as oppossed to delivery suite) but there is no bed. Where am I meant to give birth??? Please someone reassure me that it is fine on the floor!!

Still knackered (fell asleep in sherlock last night!) but don't feel quite as sick.

So sorry to those who have had bad news in the past week. My thoughts are with you.

Well, ms has arrived right on schedule. Nearly had to abandon the girls breakfast this morning but managed to take a deep breath and carry on. And its sure to get worse over the next few weeks as only 6+4 at the moment by my calcs. Got a booking in appointment and scan but not for another 3 weeks - ah, how am I supposed to wait that long?!

Coraltoes - naptime sounds great. As am currently on mat leave from DD2, wonder if the boss aka the two girls will give me permission for a snooze. Somehow I doubt it!

Anyone else actually terrified of the 12 week scan? I'm so frightened that there could be nothing there/a MMC. How common is that?

Also scared of multiples...

Just to update you, me and DH are not prepared to wait another 7 years to get pg again so we've got an appointment with an IVF clinic on Thursday. Fingers crossed I'll be able to start a thread of my own in a couple of months!

I'm feeling ok today, had a busy day out with DD, and it was lovely... will probably crash on the sofa as soon as she is in bed though!!

Yum Yum Yum, yes coral that very one! Was delish, though didn't get it together to have the ricotta balls in the fridge 24 hrs in advance so we just had it with regular pasta. Will def have a go at those balls in the future though as they looked pretty good! Worth it if you can manage it at any point. Can you drop subtle hints to DH? You are lucky having a cook, my DH is wonderful and has been really, really helping me out (doing lots of washing, washing up and bits of cooking) but his repertoire is a bit limited. We have stir fry, sausages or burgers on his nights! I'm not complaining though, he has been an absolute star through the bits where I have been unable to even think about food, let alone cook it. I think I had three weeks when all I ate was marmite toast! For some reason I have been ok with beef for most of it though.

I've been watching the whole series of One Born Every Minute on 4 OD. I weep at every birth, it's such an amazing thing. I know that it is so far away still, but it does make me really look forward to it. It would be so wonderful if I could hold my newborn baby in my arms straight away this time. Here's hoping.

On a slightly sadder note, today is the 3rd anniversary of the premature birth and loss of our first DD at 23 weeks. I thought it would always be such a hard day, but actually it has become more of a day for remembering the wonderful way she bonded the two of us together through our love for her and the pain when she died. Thinking of everyone who has lost a pregnancy, baby or child. Those little souls are never forgotten.

sevenbubbles - there's no probs giving birth on the floor. I was very happy there with DD - you can't fall off it, can you? They'll have padded mats and things to kneel on - not freezing cold lino! A bed only encourages you to lie on your back, which is A Bad Thing, which is why I think they don't have them. If things were taking a while, I'm sure they can make you comfy enough to snooze between contractions.

sevenbubbles maybe consider taking a pillow from home just so you can snuggle a bit if you want?

jeffily i cant really plan meals like that yet as what i can stomach varies so much from minute to minute. I'm not too sicky or anything just some foods make me gag! Amusingly i;ve also been pretty good with beef though and for 2 weeks all i could eat was bolognese or chilli con carne! haha.

Thinking of you today, and glad to read you can remember with less pain as time goes on. She sounds like she was a loving little soul. I'm sure she is looking down on the growing family fondly today.

ps- one born every minute are filming a new series this autumn, with a bit of luck it will be aired before our due dates!

All I can think is, well - there is a recession on!

Not sure I could get comfy without a bed to lean on.

I know I can't imagine no bed!! Maybe I could take a blow up air mattress??!!!

I had a quick labour last time and all I wanted to do was lie on my side (which I know is a bad thing) but I think my body was trying to slow things down a little bit. I think if I had been up and about I would have delivered in about 20 minutes!!

Have just discovered that Haribo help the nausea!!

jeffily really sorry to hear about your DD, I too am glad to read that you are able to have nice memories now.

Hi all. Hello to the new peeps - lovely to see you. Nosleep that sounds pretty promising and very happy for you. Have amended my stats as I felt a bit of a fraud having ????s all this time. EDD subject to change as consultant, MW and GP can't seem to agree at the moment. I reckon it'll all get straightened out at the 20 week scan in October.

Sorry been awol. DD has been poorly, DS has been very 2, one of my cats has been ill and needs an operation tomorrow and I've been plodding on with worshipping the porcelain god, not sleeping too well over the weekend after night shifts and generally trying to get through one day at a time! Beginning to feel a bit more human today. Finished work yesterday morning at 8am, obviously no sleep during yesterday but had trips to GP and vet and then hospital for my own post op check up. Conked out on the sofa after kids in bed and we'd had tea and woke up at 2.30am! Managed to grab another couple of hours in between DD getting out of bed and weeing on the floor and DS howling (teething with the last molars). So been a bit mad round here.

someone mentioned haribo for nausea. I find starburst quite good once it's beginning to lift . Over the weekend, I got serious cravings for fresh peas. Oh My God. Fresh peas with fresh mint. MMMmmmmmm. I can't quite believe how fast I go from wanting to die in a corner to being totally ravenous. And vice versa.

Today the kids are at nursery so my glorious plan is to finish the chores, have a Lush bath with my iPod before dropping cat off at the vet and picking kids up again.

Love to all and thinking of those who are struggling with horrid uncertainty and crappy symptoms.

From the look of it I am quite the latecomer, but I am almost 8 wks with my first pregnancy. Very excited, but feeling absolutely dreadful! Constantly nauseous and knackered

I saw my GP last week, which made it more real though, and my EDD is 17/3/11...

I'm not having my booking appointment till 10 weeks, which seems quite late?

Welcome mrsmullan and congratulations - I'm a first timer too.

Your EDD is my DH's birthday.

I think 10 weeks is pretty normal for the booking appointment - have they given you your notes? There's loads of questions to fill out for your booking. I've nearly finished and am being booked on Thursday morning.

We were sharing tips/coping strategies for the nausea a couple of weeks ago. The main ones seemed to be lots of rest and eating little snacks every hour or two. Eat what you can bear/fancy, sod healthy for now! Good luck
