Hello ladies. Can I join you? Just found out that I'm expecting DC3 in March. We already have two boys DS1 is 7 and DS2 is 2 and has Downs Syndrome. This pregnancy has come as a complete shock so I don't think the reality has hit home yet. When you hear screaming you'll know the penny's dropped!!

shitforbrains · 28/07/2010 15:35

no worries me23! It's true, so many niggles, it's hard to tell which are 'real' and which are not.

Hello SuperSoph!

NoSleepTonight · 28/07/2010 15:52

sfb

What is happening to you is exactly what happened to me, I was admitted with extreme pains and the scan showed a bleed/clot along with something else.
I've been made to wait 2 weeks inbetween scans, going back Monday at 9:30. It's been a horrible horrible wait, but with 2 ds's (5&1) I'm being kept busy!

Good luck for your scan on Wednesday.

So sorry for all those who are having problems and thanks for the good wishes everyone, still no spotting or bleeding, some pains but not as intense.
My boobs seem to have grown over night and I feel like I've been hit by a bus - surely both have t be good signs!

shitforbrains · 28/07/2010 16:00

NoSleep yes the same

I am having a lot of pains, only down one side, and during the scan I saw bean (literally a bean, never seen them like that before, all my previous scans were at about 12 weeks) and a big black area of blood.

I go back wednesday to see how things are progressing.

TBH though - I think as long as we are not bleeding (or not bleeding much) and continue to experience other symptoms then we should hopefully be ok.

SuperSoph73 · 28/07/2010 16:24

sft and nosleep - sorry to hear you're both going through rough times at the moment. Hope it all resolves itself soon xxx

SuperSoph73 · 28/07/2010 16:25

Sorry that should have been sfb - god, I'm useless!!

NoSleepTonight · 28/07/2010 16:35

thanks soph

sfb - yes, my pain was one sided, my left, and blood pressure down to 70's over 50's so I was admitted over the weekend, another scan on the Monday and now waiting the 2 weeks.. Monday can't come soon enough.

Trying to find something I can drink as I've gone off tea the last few days which is unheard of, I've got sparkling water as I find it better than still/tap but I know I should be drinking more.
I drink milk, but there's only so much of that I can take before feeling ill..

Any suggestions?

Madasajarofwasps · 28/07/2010 17:30

Hello ladies - so much sad and worrying news today . I am gutted for Harriet after so long ttc - its just so unfair.

Waterplate I have everything crossed for you - the waiting must be hard.

sfb that's a worry and I hope its not too painful. I really hope you and nosleep get good news soon. Like you say if the symptoms are still there and not much bleeding, that is hopeful.

superpenguin I need to add Mr Whippy icecreams to the banned list which was news to me. According to the mw there is a risk of listeria . Surely with the number of children eating them there should be some sort of investigation don't you think!?

Welcome supersoph

nosleep I am struggling with drinks at the moment. Water seems yuk, so does tea. Some squashes are okay, but blackcurrant makes me heave. I drink milk too, but not too much. I have found lime cordial is okay. I really do have to drink more.

I am feeling a bit better the nausea is no longer all day [relieved emoticon]. Althought some food/drink can set it off again. It is mostly morning and evening and I can cope with that. The tiredness is still tough, especially as I have both dc at home so my naptimes have been curtailed .

Take care all and hugs to those having worrying times xx

pushmepullyou · 28/07/2010 17:46

Madas I think the listeria risk is really only for infants (under 1), pregnant women and the elderly, so no baby-led weaning on pate and ice cream

I really should be working!

spilttheteaagain · 28/07/2010 19:46

Oh Harriet I am so so sorry. There is no justice.

waterplate thinking of you and really hope your scan brings you good news. It sounds like you have a lovely DH.

sfb I'm so glad it wasn't an ectopic, terrifying idea. Fingers crossed for your little one and for that blood clot dispersing.

Hoping everyone else is purely contending with sickness/tiredness. Take care of yourselves all x

sam26oscar · 28/07/2010 19:57

nosleeptonight am in exactly same position am thirsty but can't stomach anything went out and bought lemon barley and orange & pineapple, tea yeuch coffee yeuch water the same!!the only thing that i seem to like at the time is ice cold not really fizzy coke but then after 15 mins belly starts gurgling and wonder if it was good idea!!
welcome soph
madas lucky you to have the m/s ease off a bit was hoping mine was and tbf it is slightly better but still there enough for me to not want to eat am actually starting to feel really sorry for myself now which is ridculous as after reading the last few threads i should slap myself and thank my lucky stars that i am having "good" symptons.

snapdragon3 · 28/07/2010 20:53

Don't know whether you will see this message Harriet but I am so very sorry this has happened. It feels so very unfair

SFB really hope things go okay with this. What a worry. And Nosleep thinking about you too and have everything crossed - though your symptoms seems to give lots of cause for hope!

welcome to supersoph!

Will check back in tomorrow. Love to all. Am so tired, I really need to be horizontal!

Purplefan · 28/07/2010 21:31

Evening everyone,
I have a quick question for you all.... does anyone know if it will be safe for me to go to a farm with DD (4.5) on tuesday, I will be about 7 weeks then. We have been invited to meet up with friends and obviously I haven't mentioned my pregnancy yet
Had quick check on internet and it mentions avoiding lambing season?

Madasajarofwasps · 28/07/2010 21:34

Thanks pushmepullyou I was about to ring Watchdog about the safety of Mr Whippy! I have a made a note for weaning time

Madasajarofwasps · 28/07/2010 21:38

Purplefan you'll be fine. Just make sure you (and your dd) wash you hands after touching the animals. Many a farmer's wife has worked on a farm while pg. It's not lambing season so no worries there. Have fun

Purplefan · 28/07/2010 21:54

Thanks Madas, seems a bit of a trivial thing to be worrying about considering what others on this thread are going through, but just needed some reassurance.

waterplate · 28/07/2010 22:25

Hi all, we got a private scan this evening and sadly I have a beautifully clean tidy and empty uterus. She even had the cheek to ask if I had really had a positive pregnancy test!

TMI WARNING: Think the blood on the camera stick thingy (I had to have an internal scan) proved there was something going on!

DH and I are really sad but already thinking ahead to the future and we hope to get on with trying again as soon as possible (apparently you can start again as soon as the bleeding stops so long as you don't mind being out on dates with the next one).

Good luck to all you ladies on here for happy healthy babies.

harriet I am thinking of you and I really hope you conceive again as soon as you feel ready.

sfb good luck with sorting out the haematoma (if that's the right term) - also have my fingers crossed for you and I'm so glad to hear your other pregnancy symptoms are continuing.

pushmepullyou · 28/07/2010 22:39

So sorry waterplate . It is good that you are looking to the future though, has always been the only way for me. I conceived DD immediately after an early mc without having a period in between, so it definitely can be done.

Best of luck and do pop back and tell us when you get your BFP

sam26oscar · 29/07/2010 06:47

waterplate am so sorry for you but as pushmepullyou said you can catch really quickly after a m/c i conceived within 2-3months after my m/c's. Fingers crossed and it really does help to be positive

Harriet75C · 29/07/2010 07:25

Thanks for all the good wishes guys. Am taking the pills today to get rid of the remnants of it all, so I may not be around for a few days. Good luck to everyone waiting for scans or test results. I hope it works out better for you than it did for me.

waterplate I'm very sorry. I hope you conceive again quickly and that it all works out for you.

coraltoes · 29/07/2010 08:51

ohwaterplate i am sorry. Sounds like you're keeping a positive attitude, looking forward, and I wish you all the best as you work on the next one. Stay well. x

Harriet all the best for the next few days.I'll be thinking of you.

howdy soph welcome to the March group! You'll be teaching us a thing or two with all your experience, gosh i can't imagine being this tired and still looking after 2 kiddies. Some of you are pretty impressive!

Nausea is still v.mild (thank god), boobs look like bloody air bags prob jumped 2 cups already (pls let it stop soon otherwise i'll look indecent!)
I'm a lot like some of you describe- exhausted to the point of collapse by hometime. I get home around 7 from work and am in bed by 9, i just cant manage staying up! Peeing loads in the night too, and managed to trip over my own feet on the way to the loo this morning- so clever.

mixedmamameansbusiness · 29/07/2010 09:38

coral - i regularly trip ove rmy feet even when not pregnant.

shitforbrains · 29/07/2010 09:47

Waterplate, so sorry to hear your news. It's not fair - hopefully you will have better news soon x

This thread has been plagued with bad news the last few days

rain1014 · 29/07/2010 09:54

Hi Im part of the due in March group now yipeeeeee!
I have two girls already aged 8 and 6 so really really hoping for a blue one!

I seem to be getting a bad case of cyctic achne on my chin , thinking of taking Vit B5 for it has anyone else had/have this problem?

snapdragon3 · 29/07/2010 09:57

Waterplate am so very sorry Lots of love to you.

Having a rough day today with the sickies. Had to get up and going quickly to get DD to the GP surgery and getting DS ready quickly is a bit of a challenge these days....he's very 2! So have been much more sick than yesterday. Looks like a lovely day so will have to get a grip and get the kids out to the park. It's worth it just to tire them out a bit so I can get some peace later on.

Love to you all - will check back later
