Sympathies to you Harriet re the sickness. As for the size of your "downstairs bits" - well, I think most of us at some point entertain the "Oh my God, how am I supposed to get a baby out of there?!" thoughts, so what you feel is very normal. Things do stretch enormously and a lot is down to pelvis size and how baby is laid. All these issues can, if you have a MW or a doc you get on with well, can be discussed and you can get reassurance. Pregnancy always brings with it a lot of horror stories, I'm afraid. Our experiences all vary so very much and it's the difficult ones that stick in your mind.
Madasajarofwasps I hear you on the boob size! still wearing underwired here as they are the only ones I can be comfy in. Our M&S are crap at measuring. I tend to go to Debenhams these days (VERY big boobs....) and am thinking of splashing out on some Hot Milk bras later. A shop in town stocks them, so I may explore...
Coraltoes again, sympathies with the tiredness. Exercise is the last thing I feel like and I'm so glad I don't have to take DD to preschool pushing DS in the pushchair up that sodding hill for 6 weeks! I find gentle cycling helps give me a workout while I sit and keeps me ticking over. With DS, once first trimester was over, I managed to keep going with 15-20Km 3 times a week until the day before he was born. I think it helped me recover from the CS faster too, plus work with the gym ball.
Sickness not been quite as bad today for me, but had a rotten weekend with it. Not helped by only having had 5 hours sleep in total since Friday night. These night shifts will kill me!
My big news is that I am officially having to wear maternity trousers now. Over the weekend, my work trousers started cutting me in half (and I've lost 5lbs too with all the puking!) so took DD shopping this morning. Got some lovely support leggings and some nice tops. I do actually have a noticeable bump which feels ridiculous at 9 weeks but I guess my tummy muscles are knackered after 2 sections! DH was really shocked when he noticed it this weekend. Even though this is my third baby, I am thrilled at the novelty of it and can't stop touching it - which is even sillier, as it's not even baby, it's just my abdominal organs which have been shoved out of the way! There are some annoying, unpleasant symptoms, but you can't beat having a visible baby bump....especially when it starts moving (I can't WAIT for that!).
