Thanks for all the support over DH issues. Things have settled down a bit over the last few days but I think that's partly because I've decided I don't get so stressed out if I just don't expect any help in the evenings in the week. Tonight DH phoned at 7.15 to tell me that he wouldn't be home til about 10. I feel for him if that's the pressure at work but it also frustrates me that I just wouldn't have that option.
Re his pressure to provide, I think he feels a failure in some way that I have to go out to work but I told him last week that actually I'm happy to be going to work and would want to go back after DC2

Anyway, I'm hoping things continue to improve...

ended up taking M to the park, he walked round from our house there, ran round for nearly 2 hours, and walked back he was shattered when we got home though, and had a solid 3 hour sleep, would have slept more is his dad adnt of came round, and he was back in bed for 9 after only waking at 3.

Morning! (just). Have all DCs at home today,plus dd1's friend due for the afternoon any minute. Should be fine, though a bit of sun would be nice! I have to say this 'half term' has really dragged,I don't know who had the idea of giving them 2 weeks off now . Grumpy too about the invite received this morning about dd3's school visits next week.Not a problem in itself (in fact I love taking them to their first 'taste' of school but had no prior warning they'd be next week (they're normally July)and don't have the requisite week's notice to take time off work. So me and dh are going to have to alternatively throw a sickie so we can get it done, and then hope a friend can step in for the 3rd day. Really cross about this as they must have known when it would be before this week .

Tink, you amaze me - JANUARY?!! Goodness me, have you got christmas sorted?! LOL It has been a mix with the weather today, it was sunny and warm this morning, but it since come over cloudy and windy, and now it's cooling right down, was even starting to think about putting the heating on

Ses, no, doesn't look like anyone else is heading for the chickchickspots. He still seems to be getting new ones It's difficult to keep track because he is just covered from head to toes but am sure he is still getting the odd ones coming up. But, he is a bit of an odd bugger and whenever he get's poorly with anything he gets a sort of pin prick rash all over, so don't know if it's just that.

Diege, nothing makes me more cross with school (well except maybe the money grabbing-ness!) than when they don't give notice, with DH's hours, ideally, we need at least 2 weeks for anything in the week and at least a month for anything at the weekend, he misses out on so much (plays, fairs etc.) because they don't let us know in time. Hope you're feeling better today?

Have been doing my course all morning, and am having the afternoon 'off' to clear the house up a bit and then start planning DS1's bedroom, hoping to get it all done next month, though is going to depend on the ol' dosheroonies because the car has been in the garage since Tuesday, they've done some stuff but it's still not right so it's going to depend how much that is going to cost, it's already cost £50 to insure me on the loan car, and I wouldn't mind but due to the chickchickspots I've only nipped to the shop once, and I didn't need to go, was only to get out of the house!

God, sorry that was a bit of a waffle but I can't be arsed going back through it LOL Right, off to do the clearing up, can't be arsed doing that either!

I forgot to pop on and tell you all- a bit of good news on the DD2 front, she had her consultant app on Friday, we saw her actual cons this time too, she was very happy with her development and her planned physio has been cancelled, and if she's walking before the next app in 3 months time they want us to cancel it and she'll be discharged! When she left SCBU I was told it's not uncommon to be seen for check-ups till 5yo!

I'm knackered and could so do with an early night. DH is at footy just after 8 so I'll prob go then.

DS is still hitting all the time.. Grrrrr is it a boy thing? Please tell me he will grow out of it!!! Arghhhhhhhhh

Welcome back Lardy! My DD tends to hit now and again generally just me or her key worker at nursery. It seems to be when she is frustrated but its hard to deal with when you cant reason with them. I'd be interested in any tips from anyone here? She understands no and just smiles at us!

Ses- glad things with DH are ok. Small, productive steps seem to be the way forward
