Diege - the symptoms sound promising but so does the temping. When do you plan on testing?!

DH went to bed tired so no GOF here tonight. I did go up and check whether he went to bed for ans "early night" but no he really wanted an early night. To be fair, he did do a bbq this afternoon for his parents and mine and spent this morning painting walls and ceiling in the new kitchen...

Moosy · 29/08/2010 23:29

Diege, the symptoms and temp rises sound really good, fom what you've said I'd be surprised if you're not pg this time. How many days until you test?

Kitchen looks really good Ses, you've overtaken us, our kitchen is still just a shell with no paint and no floor!

3 days to go until we move! :o [eek!]

smithylovesme · 30/08/2010 04:40

9.8 cases packed and half of the goodbyes said :( hardest was to DH's great grandma who is 92. in 36 hours we will be starting our 24 hour journey.
Diege- symptoms sound promising when are you testing? We will be moving to Shropshire initially as staying with friends, then who knows, wherever there are jobs and hopefully university for me.

SES sorry no GOF for you tonight and yes i think DH BU about no GOF whilst parents are staying Hmm I got pregnant first month of using the CBFM so good luck.
Kitchem pics on FB look great too.

Moosy- good luck with the move.

My bleeding started again nearly black in colour, will definately be going to the docs on my return, fed up of it now!

essenceofSES · 30/08/2010 07:39

Smithy - hard to leave but sounds like the right decision overall. What are you hoping to study at uni?

Moosy - v exciting! How many people have you got staying over next weekend?

Thanks for comments on our kitchen. Units arrive from Howdens tomorrow, appliances Wednesday and windows Thursday! Will look v different again by the end of the week!

essenceofSES · 30/08/2010 07:48

Right, 2nd post as on phone and if my posts are too long, I can't see what I'm typing!

So my temps have varied from 36.03 to 36.70 in days 1-16. When I was ttc before, this was pretty normal and my temp would shift to 37ish post ov. CD 11-14 were between 36.14 and 36.21. CD15 was 36.47 and then today, CD16 was 36.43.
Highs on CBFM CD12-15 and then a peak this morning. +'ve OPK yesterday afternoon.

Because of my temps I don't think I have ov yet but will probably today. No GOF anyway tonight as I'm out with SIL to be for semi-hen do. Am hoping a GOF tomorrow will suffice. What do you think?

Also worth saying that last month CBFM put ov on CD19 and the month before CD21.

Diege · 30/08/2010 09:34

I'm thinking you're right SES in thinking you haven't ov yet - fingers crossed your egg hangs on!
SMITHY, yes get that bleeding checked out! You won't be that far from me so hopefully we'll meet at some point at a meet-up Smile
Well I have to say I have had a very mixed and ultimately disappointing 12 hrs...Had the urge to pee on a stick late last night and got a BFP (came up pretty much straight away, and while faint no squinting needed...bit odd for 7 days post ov I thought but hey it can happen...Tested again this morning first thing and clear neg Sad (well glimmer of a line after 10mins or so,obviously very different from first test). Also took temp and it's dropped massively (though still above cover line) so am thinking things started off ok but it just wasn't a good egg...I think the change to bfn a bit sudden for worries about LP etc, simply not implanting properly. So a bit tearful, but better I know than to have false hope/it turn out this way in a few weeks time!

tinkhasboughtoutalltheshops · 30/08/2010 09:39

having a quiet day watching dd1s new dvds

Moosy · 30/08/2010 10:19

Oh Diege, sorry for the rollercoaster day. :( There's still a chance it could turn out well but I can understand you wanting to write it off after the BFN. I'll keep hoping you get a nice surprise BFP in a few days :)

Ses, our ovens are coming on wednesday too, we're getting an induction hob too which is great apart from the fact that only 2 of my pans will work on it!

I have the most ridiculously busy week ahead of me but have only just had breakfast and am not even showered yet as Fizzy had me up for 1.5 hours in the night having slept through for 5 night before that. This week I have to:
today: make things for DD1's birthday cake for friday
make things for mum's friend's birthday cake for sunday
finish making the 2m x 2m blind for the utility room so we can use the toilet in there
tuesday: pack
wednesday: move house
thursday: finish the things I haven't done from the previous days
unpack
get food for parties
friday: DD1's birthday, her party, and our house warming party
saturday: collapse.

Ses we have my brother, sil and their baby staying in the house and hopefully some people will be camping too.

essenceofSES · 30/08/2010 10:53

Moosy - that's a week and a half ahead of you! Hope you enjoy it as well as being exhausted!

Tink - sounds like a good day yesterday and a good plan for today too!

Diege - what a day! I can also understand you writing this month off now to avoid disappointment but do bear in mind you can get an implantation dip in temps...

Right, must go and get on. DH wants me to go and choose some paint for the kitchen - a sort of warm stone/biscuit colour is what we've agreed.

Enjoy your day everyone!

Diege · 30/08/2010 12:55

Thanks guys for your comments. Not even told dh so good to just get it down on here.
SES, I think my temp drop today was possibly a reflection of yesterday's (attempted) implantation, as I presume if I got a strong(ish) BFP then there must have been some level of implantation? Not sure what my chart will look like tomorrow - just hoping to get another few days before af anyway.
Think I'm heading back to bed while ds sleeps as I'm shattered. Back later when I've given myself a kick up the backside.

Moosy · 30/08/2010 13:30

I guess tomorrow's temp will be a good indicator for what's going on, if it's gone back up again then it's prob all good and you can put the dip down to implantation and the BFN down to a duff test, if it drops again then your theory is probably right. Enjoy your rest, hope you feel better afterwards.

tinkhasboughtoutalltheshops · 30/08/2010 16:23

good luck diege with next test Grin

i had an implantation dip and spotting with dd2 testing to early and got bfp then tested a few days later and got bfp

sorky · 30/08/2010 17:11

Hmm tis a tricky one Diege Confused

One of the tests is dodgy.

I think 7dpo is too early to test +ve the day after a temp dip (implantation).

The egg burrowing on 6dpo would take a couple of days, iirc, to double hcg levels so that a sensitive test would pick up the hormone.

See what temp does tomorrow, as Moos says, I reckon 10dpo could see a reliable poas result if temp stays high.

Good luck, fingers crossed x

Hi everyone

essenceofSES · 30/08/2010 17:23

Diege - sound logic from Sorky as usual Grin

I'm just getting ready to go out with SIL, mum and my cousin for her non-hen do!
OPK this afternoon was +'ve again.

Diege · 30/08/2010 18:17

Hey that sounds positive for your Tues gof SES - dh can't get away with it that easily Wink
Thanks SORKY! I agree that the BFP was very odd. The postive came up literally as the wee was washing over the stick, and darkened by one minute Hmm. And it wasn;t an especially sensitive test either (25 miu,I think they do more sensitive than that?) I am pretty resigned now to a bfn as boobs don't feel so sore though cervix high and hard. TBH if things did turn out so that I had a bfp after all,I think I would be a little worried that things weren't quite right,so won't be too gutted if/when af arrives. Thanks again everyone - you're all a great support

smithylovesme · 31/08/2010 04:43

Counting down the hours! 10.5 hours until we are in the air, will let you know when i arrive, behave yourselves GrinGrinGrin

GiraffeYoga · 31/08/2010 07:40

Morning all

Smithy- safe trip!

Diege - Sorry about up and down day. TTCing is a huge emotional rollercoaster isnt it. Its so easy to forget all that once you are preg/have a child. Thinking of you today.

Ses- hope you enjoyed semi hen night and get your GOF tonight. Did you get the paint?

Tink glad DD1s bday went well. Will look at the pics.

Cant/ Diege glad the meetup went well. Hope you survived without too much pukey feeling Cant.

Good weekend in the GYoga house. cant believe its over so fast though!!

And its dark in the mornings now Hmm I dont like autumn/ winter!

OP posts:
Moosy · 31/08/2010 07:54

Booo for dark morning gyo, you must get up very early!

Thinking of you thus morning Diege, what's your temp like today?

Not doing too well with my list of things to do, I've made a Dug (the dog from Up) for DD1's cake but the blind is still only half done and I haven't even started the other cake stuff yet. Really ought to get up and get going but bed is so comfy...

Diege · 31/08/2010 08:40

Morning Smile. Safe journey SMITHY;how exiciting!
MOOSY, well temp was way back up today(Sunday was 36.89, continuing up from the gradual rise I seem to have post-ov, then dropped on Monday to 36.60...today back up to 36.90 Confused. I have also had cramps, back ache etc. If I hadn't got the pos then neg I would think things were looking pretty good! Anyway, a good result for me will be if af stays away sufficently to convince me that my lp isn't'defective'Grin. Good luck with the cake making - love Up, great film. You must post a piccie x
GIRAFFE, yes very autumnal isn't it - you can see you breath in the air here, it's so cold!
Busy-ish day - lots of work to do but also have them at home, plus need to meet with childminder, go to PO...just the usual but seems worse when I have the fear of a phonecall from the boss any second!

GiraffeYoga · 31/08/2010 09:23

Morning moosy, Diege

Moosy- good luck with your jobs. I admire you for making blinds!

Diege- fingers crossed for you. Hope your day goes ok. I also admire you for WFH whilst kids are there! the SG wont let me near my laptop in her presence. Or if she does she just takes the living room to pieces when Im not looking Confused Grin

Ok- Blush so not black, dark. But I need light on to find clothes from wardobe and the sun isnt blinding me throug bathroom window... dark enough for me!

tinkhasboughtoutalltheshops · 31/08/2010 09:41

goo luck diege Grin

good luck smothy Grin safe journey

essenceofSES · 31/08/2010 10:12

Morning!

Smithy - lots of smooth journey wishes. Look forward to hearing from you once you're "home" :)

Diege - I've still not given up on your BFP this month as that temp pattern sounds promising. Just that strange line the other day throws up doubt. Maybe a faulty test?!

Giraffe - v autumnal here. Glad you had a good weekend :)

Moosy - good luck with getting everything done. Agree, we need cake piccies!

Tink - hello!

GiraffeYoga · 31/08/2010 10:31

how was the hen night Ses?

OP posts:
sorky · 31/08/2010 10:35

My God, how have you not POAS after the temp rise!?! Grin

We had the dentist at 9am this morning. Was a chill in the air. So pleased, I love Autumn and Winter :)

Smithy, an early welcome home!

Hope you all have good days, I'm off to work pm, so catch up later x

essenceofSES · 31/08/2010 11:09

Sorky - LOL at lack of POAS Shock
Hope dentist was ok?

Giraffe - hen do was lovely but v v tame! We got her a couple of helium balloons and a chocolate champagne bottle and I did her a little notebook with some love/marriage quotes and decorated it. My favourite quote was "A good marriage is like a casserole - only those responsible for it really know what goes in" :)

As for the paint, yes we got some that we're really happy with. We have a stone colour in our dining room and decided to get something similar but a little warmer. I found one called "totally nutmeg" looks lovely but... it looks exactly the colour of plaster! DH is a bit Hmm about why we bothered painting the walls!

I have this week off work :) This morning I'm going to tidy up as I'm on my own in the house for the first time in weeks. Will strip spare bed now the inlaws have gone. Hope to go for a run too!

Oh and my temp this morning was still low at 36.31 so no ov yet!
