ninah · 11/08/2005 16:12

yes, well, here's hoping, eh?!

sweetheart · 11/08/2005 16:16

kangel,

You need to e-mail DQ with your name and address and any other information you think would be relevant to someone buying you a gift.

kangel · 11/08/2005 16:19

SH - Thanks - will do!

ninah · 11/08/2005 16:23

emailed you this am dq hope you have it

bonkerz · 11/08/2005 16:49

Afternoon ladies.

Pains in my hips are getting worse! Been getting worse for weeks but today i am finding it hard to walk! Night time is worse cos cant roll over etc and cant get comfy!
Went to B&Q and got wallpaper and paint for nursery, total cost.......£19!!! Am well chuffed!!!
Put a pack of newborn nappies in trolley at shopping! Dh didnt bat an eyelid!!! Got home and opened them and had a good cry, they are so tiny!
May not be on tomorrow as its due date time again unfortuantely, maybe thats why im determined to throw myself into decorating nursery by sunday!!!

sweetheart · 11/08/2005 16:51

bonkerz, sounds like spd to me - I'd mention it to your mw next time you see her. She'll be able to book you in for physio therepy.

So sorry to hear of your due date tomorrow. I had mine in June so can sympathise with what your going through - if you need to chat feel free to CAT me. If your anything like me tomorrow won't be half as bad as you think it will be.

Good luck with the decorating - don't over do it - make sure dh does nearly all the work

ninah · 11/08/2005 16:53

tiny is GOOD bonkerz! don't forget they have to come out first!
will be thinking of you tomorrow xx Ninah

bonkerz · 11/08/2005 16:55

thanks SH, Had my other due date not long ago and day wasnt AS bad so am hoping tomorrow will be OK too. It helps doing all this stuff for FRED!!! Also have trip planned to cadburys world so im sure some chocolate may help to distract me!

SPD: How much pain do i need to be in though to make it viable for doctors to take me seriously? I dont want to be a hypercondriac.

OP posts:
sweetheart · 11/08/2005 16:59

bonkerz - the pain need only be mild at this stage as it tends to get worse as the weight of the baby increases and it engages for birth. The fact that you are having trouble walking seems to suggest it is rather more urgent than a mild case.

Don't feel funny about going - you are only enquireing and thats what your mw is there for!!!!

I'd get it checked - SPD can, in the absolute worst cases, result in a c-section so I'd make them aware of it now!!!

bonkerz · 11/08/2005 17:01

Thanks for that SH, dont have consultant till 24th so will see how i go. If i cant manage i will call docs. Laid on floor earlier and couldnt get up without help and even then it was agony. More on my right side than my left as well.

george32 · 11/08/2005 19:49

Well a quieter day at work & I still can't keep up. I'm going to have to knock it on the head or I'll be so behind with what is going on.
Welcome to the thread Jasmina.
No shopping here either yet so you're not alone.
Sorry about your swollen bits Ebbie. Didn't see your thread so no idea which bits you are having problems with but I hope it clears up soon.
Sorry you are suffering too Bonkerz.
Have a good meal tonight SH. I haven't been out for a meal in ages. We tend to have the boys on weekends and are too knackered in the week. Think we might need to do something about that this weekend.

Well done on your organising DQ! Sounds very impressive. The most I do is bung some clothes in & hope for the best. I hope you have a wonderful break.

dramaqueen72 · 11/08/2005 20:20

Hey girls, I've been seriously slack in posting. How's it goping with everyone?
DQ - have a fab holiday.

We had the 20 week scaqn on Tuesday, I thought it was last Tuesday but was muddled. So nice to have a stress free scan. Really feeling Moley now, she/he is wonderfully active, it's fab. Other than that, life goes on and the bump gets bigger but I still feel remarkably unpregnant most of the time.

ei23mummy · 11/08/2005 23:14

evening everyone!!!
welcome to the thread jasmine!!
i aint posted for days!! not bin too well with sore back an a severe water infection!! how us ladeez suffer for our bumps!!
im glad everyone seems ok
bonkerz, my friend had spd and they gave her thid elasticated belt to wear under her bump- its supposed to take the weight of the bub!- anyway she was nervous about tellin her doc about it an they told her it was pretty common an not to worry. this belt they gave her really helped her an she felt 1000% better for talkin to the doc. even your m/w or practice nurse cud help you if you dont wanna tell the doc!
ill be back on in the morn!jeez am glad to be back on!!!
p.s this secret stork thing sounds like a great idea!! is it too late to join in??

dramaqueen72 · 11/08/2005 23:53

ei - just CAT me your details, not too late atll, leaving it another 2 wks to collect names to see how many ladies we can get involved{grin]
TC nice to hear from you! glad scan was fine and youre doing well, you must check in more often!

Thomcat · 12/08/2005 00:26

I know I'm crap, sorry. I'm never around when anyone else is so haven't got involved in a proper chat, then by the time I log on again there has been 227 posts and I can't keep up!

I feel asleep early cuddled up to Lottie and then woke and now I can't sleep.

george32 · 12/08/2005 06:39

Whoops, bit of a twitchy posting finger this morning!

bonkerz · 12/08/2005 08:17

morning girls,

Thank goodness for desparate midwives!! I watched it last night and started crying and just couldnmt stop! Shockingly Dh immediately knew it was due to my due date being today and was amazing, he has offered to help decorate the nursery for fred (he hates any DIY) and agrees that in a small way by doing the nursery we are honouring our 2 lost beans. Today is going to be tough BUT dh knows i may be emotional and is prepared for it! Ok tears again need to go and get dressed. Want FRED to really kick me today more than any other day.
Have a good day girls! Im off to cadburys world then abit of retail therepy in birmingham!!
