You're in my thoughts/prayers/hopes claire x

PJen · 25/05/2010 22:50

Cher just catching up and saw your post. Really sad and made me cry... wish you the best honeybee and take care of yourself!

ClaireDeLoon · 25/05/2010 23:21

Yes there was a clot, had some more bleeding after I posted and there was a large clot with that.

I have a bicornuate uterus which is where it is heart shaped with 'horns' at the top. The embryo was in right horn and doctor explained yesterday that there is often bleeding from the other horn as the uterus changes during pregnancy. However this bleeding was heavier than I've had in either (natural) miscarriage, and with the clot too I assume my cervix is open. No pain yet though.

I'm really sorry for bringing the thread down.

Lucypeanut · 26/05/2010 01:38

Cher so sorry to hear your news, make sure you surround yourself with family & friends, thinking of you x

Claire Sending you as much hope and positivity as I can, get to the hospital tomorrow and let us know how you are. Will be thinking of you x

DuelingFanjo · 26/05/2010 07:57

Claire hope that you are ok this morning, am thinking positive thoughts and hope that the bleeding slowed down overnight. x

mumatron · 26/05/2010 08:10

sorry to hear your news cher

how are you today claire? i have my fingers x'd for you x

CLB1 · 26/05/2010 08:10

So I thought I'd come say Hi, as I have just had it confirmed that my due date is 31/12. I joined the January thread as thought I wasn't as far along. Will be on both threads if thats okay with you all?

I am so so sorry to hear the sad news, I MC'd in Feb so know what a horrific time this is. I am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason, and right now wasn't your time, but I promise your time is out there. God that sounds so religious , I'm sorry... but still true.

So I'm feeling so so sick, I darn't eat anything in case I make it worse, this will be my 2nd day off work, I just can't face running to the bathroom every 10mins. Everyone at work has already guessed as had the sickness for about 4 weeks now.

Could someone add me to list please

CLB1, 27, PG1, EDD 31/12, Lives in Wakefield, Deliverying at Jimmies

I've had 2 scans so far, had some pains that lasted for about 2 weeks. last scan was on Monday.. saw mini beans little heartbeat and even got pictures. They say I am 8 weeks 5 days.

So this is me saying Hi

TheBronzeHorseman · 26/05/2010 09:19

Morning ladies,

I last posted over a month ago on the old thread. I then had a big bleed and lots of pain at 6 weeks and a scan revealed a big blood clot, so big in fact that my doctor was extremely pessimistic about my chances of keeping the pregnancy and prepared me for the worst. Was so miserable and worried that I couldn't face coming on here so kept away for a few weeks. Some 4 weeks later the clot has now virtually disappeared and I had my nuchal scan yesterday and saw baby waving away at me so I am feeling absolutely on top of the world this morning and decided to come back on here and catch up on all your news.

Have only skim-read the last couple of days of posts (you girls can CHAT!) but wanted to say how very, very I am for those who have experienced losses. It must be so utterly devastating.

ClairedeLoon - I am thinking specially of you and hoping against hope that everything goes ok for you. [StalkerAlert] I have been a sometime-lurker on the Conception boards (trying to pick up tips) and used to come across you there and feel like I sort of "know" you. Really hoping that this latest bleed comes to nothing.

Very exciting to have two sets of twins on here. I really hoped first time around that I would be having twins, but this time I have to say I was so relieved when the sonographer said there was definitely just one heartbeart in there! DS (2.9) is still possibly the World's Worst Sleeper, not sure I could cope with twins!

Hope everyone else is doing well and that the nausea is starting to subside. Yesterday was the first day in a month I could actually open the fridge without wanting to retch - really hoping that means the end is in sight!

SlightlyTired · 26/05/2010 09:49

Hello everyone. Cher, I am so sorry for your loss. It's just not fair.

Claire, I hope you're getting some answers this morning. My sister had, in her words, a "deluge" in early pregnancy, with clotting but no pain, which happened a few weeks after spotting. Everything was fine though. I have all my fingers and toes crossed that your story is similar.

PS Welcome to newbies, and welcome back and congrats to BronzeHorseman.

Miffster · 26/05/2010 10:42

Cher31, am so very sorry for your loss. Thinking of you.

ClaireDeLoon, crossing everything for you.
Welcome CLB1 and LLKH - congrats. Hope your parents stop saying randomly unhelpful things and start beign properl;y excited and pleased grandparents to be, LLKH.The Bronze Horseman welcome back - really pleased for you.

Gosh, it's quite emotional with the good and sad news on this thread. I check in on everyone everyday even if I don't contribute.
Had booking in appointment yesterday, was lovely to spend an hour talking to a midwife and a student midwife, really reassurred. They are very pro-home birth and the student is keen to attend me one on one all pregnancy and come to scans etc - said would think carefully about it ( kind of quite like the idea just not sure if I quite clicked with her, although I really felt comfortable with the qualified midwife).

DH's interview yesterday went really well. It relates to a job abroad. I have been worrying on another thread in a different forum about whether it is best to go and have the baby abroad and start new life 7-8 months pg or have babe here and move with a new born. We shall see what happens but the female interviewer recommended I had babe here and then moved early next year?

We are so excited about all of it, baby, moving, leaving outr current jobs, all the changes?just hoping nuchal scan next week is ok. We told DH's dad last night by phone on his b/day and he was overjoyed. 1st parent to know.

Sending you all hopeful thoughts today
xx

Hopeful1980 · 26/05/2010 10:46

Claire I hope that you've had good news at the doctors today? thinking of you, you poor love.

Same for Cher - desperately sorry for you. My sister lost hers at 10 weeks last year which was just devastating. She's now 7 months pg with a healthy baby.

I'm 9+1 weeks today and my nausea seems to have left me completely which is a bit odd. Still got sore boobs and a big flump of a tum so am going to assume all is well.

Am currently bidding on maternity bundles of clothes on ebay - got the idea from spying on the November thread! there's some great bargains out there, I've been outbid on 2 bundles yesterday but trying another one now - working from home rocks!! xx

ClaireDeLoon · 26/05/2010 11:58

Hello all, hospital visit inconclusive as they won't scan me just yet on the basis that even if there is a heartbeat it doesn't mean much while still bleeding. I cried a bit and they agreed to scan me Friday rather than wait over a bank holiday. I get the impression they think the worst but only time will tell.

Anyway hope you're all OK today

SlightlyTired · 26/05/2010 12:40

Claire, I'm not going to say "don't worry", as I know from my own experience that it doesn't mean anything - of course you will worry. But do be kind to yourself this week and really try and take it easy. I am so glad they are not making you wait over the bank holiday - that would be too cruel. Thinking of you.

DuelingFanjo · 26/05/2010 12:50

Claire, I think it's awful they won't scan you. Friday must seem such a long way away. Has your bleeding continued or is it easing off?

I have finally heard from a midwife and someone will be coming to see me on Thursday next week - by which time I will be 12 weeks exactly. I have decided to go ahead and book a Nuchal scan and bloods privately for the week after as I will still be within the time-limit and will have had a chance to speak to the Midwife.

ClaireDeLoon · 26/05/2010 12:51

Yeah I have told work I won't be in for the rest of the week, lying on the sofa with a ginger cat keeping my tum warm. We even stopped off at M&S and stocked up on ready meals (and the buttery sultana cookies yum) so I wouldn't have to cook/suffer DP's cooking.

DF have you spoken to the mw yet?

PJen · 26/05/2010 13:39

claire are you in London? Go to UCLH as they scanned me during bleeding. It's a walking EPU and you don't need appointment. All 3 times I went I got a scan within an hour! It will put your mind at ease! If you are staying home, then put your feet up and do nothing!

I get quiet angry that hospitals don't take foetus life as serious as they take adults'. Science is not evolved in helping and prolonging foetus life and I am really surprised how little is known and almost no research is done on how to reverse MC or help when there is a problem. Well as you can notice I am a scientist and I have put my life on finding drugs for oncology/cancer treatments. If I take the opportunity to do a study or work on developing drugs helping MC I will take the opportunity. There is absolutely NOTHING done in this field. It's appalling. They tell you "wait and see if you MC or not" this is as if you tell a grown up "oh wait and see if you die or not then you would know you had cancer!"... gggggrrrrrrr

OnlyWantsOne · 26/05/2010 13:51

really sorry to hear all your sad news - hope that you all get good outcomes

Im 13 weeks today - and dont feel pregnant at all. Pfft, have good afternoons all, Im off to do the accounts.

DuelingFanjo · 26/05/2010 13:53

I just discovered my Boss is pictured and interviewed in my work magazine talking about her own flexible working arrangements. Hah! Will this mean she will look favourably on any requests I might put in for a change of hours once I come back after maternity leave. I wonder.

I still haven't told her I am pregnant, thinking of doing it today but still not contacted her asking for a meeting. So scary.

ClaireDeLoon · 26/05/2010 13:55

I'm in Bedfordshire although work in London, handy to know though thanks.

DF sorry we cross posted, glad she is finally in touch. Awful that you have to do Nuchal privately though. I hate the NHS postcode lottery.

PJen the wait and see attitude is the worst part of it, I deliberately waited until 8 weeks before seeing the doctors so there wouldn't be the prolonged wait for a second scan to confirm what is going on and now this. The doctor was the same one we saw Monday and was very nice but they still just think it's OK to wait over a weekend not knowing. When they suggested a scan Tuesday I told her I've just had one weekend thinking I'd miscarried again and I'm not going through the same thing over a long bank holiday weekend. You just want to know even if it will be bad news.

Miffster · 26/05/2010 14:11

Thinking of you like mad, ClaireDeLoon

Cher - really sorry to hear your news

Claire, thinking of you XXX

JodieO · 26/05/2010 17:38

Hey all, been a few days I think and thread has moved on a lot. So very tired and still having problems so not much energy at all here.

Claire sorry to hear that, I hope all goes well. I'm in Cambridge and Addenbrookes has been really good with me and scanning when I was spotting and having pain. If you could pay for one then there are loads of places in London (and some in Cambridge too that I know of) which will scan you on the same day if you call early or the next day if not.

Hope everyone is ok, will try to catch up soon. Just exhausted constantly. 9 weeks and 4 days now, still can't believe it.

bakingkeepsmesane · 26/05/2010 18:08

Is it just me, or is anyone else finding they get more snuffly at night being pg? I've taken to putting a bit of vicks under my nose but still I apparently have a bit laboured-breathing in the night.

RaceyLacey · 26/05/2010 18:29

Chloe - just been looking on the stats thread and see you're from Portsmouth too.

baking - not any different at night but I'm def a lot more snuffly when I wake.
