ooo same!!

SlightlyTired · 25/05/2010 13:17

That's reassuring, thankyou!

LLKH · 25/05/2010 13:45

Just found and read through this thread. I'm relieved that other people seem to have bumps already. Poor DH (newly DH as we were only married 13 May) may be getting a little tired of my asking "Are you sure it really looks like a bump?" but on the other hand, he loves it. He finds everything about the changes in my body fascinating.

Not so my parents who informed me as soon as I told them I was pregnant that now would be a really good time for me to lose some weight (note: am size 16).

crazykat · 25/05/2010 13:46

Where has the sun gone? I got some really nice cropped maternity trousers and dresses after baking in jeans all week. Just my luck, I was looking forward to wearing them and taking DC's to feed the ducks. Oh well at least I can lounge around get some housework done instead.

crazykat · 25/05/2010 13:53

Welcome and congrats LLKH. You're lucky your DH is like that - mine gets all wierd with my bump, well he did last time but maybe he'll be different this time as it was actually planned.
I can't believe your parents would say that, I think I'd have told mine where to go if they said that to me.

LittleB · 25/05/2010 14:11

well I've managed to worry myself ill. Had a bad flare up of irritable bowel syndrome last night worrying about the pains I've been having, they are worse today so gp told me to come and check its not ectopic, have been examined and they've said its not but is tender on one side so I've been referred for an early scan tomorrow, which is what I wanted really - hoping to see a lovely little baby and good heartbeat but still worried about all these pains.
Re my due dates; I caluclated 26th Dec, GP said 28th and MW said 24th, but both said they will go with the scan. DD was a week early so hoping this one is fine and here in time for Christmas.
Right I'm off to try and rest and try hard not to worry too much or will bring on IBS again.

Loubilou09 · 25/05/2010 14:26

Claire - just caught up and saw your great news! so pleased for you XX

Feeling reasonably okay today as managed to get a dress to fit and wearing it over trousers to work - really going to have to sort out some maternity clothes soon as am popping out very early this time! with my daughter I didn't show until about 20 weeks but was a lot slimmer and younger then I suppose - she is 7.5 now and I am 40! We still haven't told her as all the heartache at losing our son at 23 weeks 2 years ago we are very nervous so are waiting until our 13 week scan with the consultant before feeling more confident about everything although she is getting very suspicious of my tummy

LLKH · 25/05/2010 14:57

crazykat thanks. I am lucky to have the DH I do. Makes up for my parents who live 3000 miles away, thank goodness.

Loubilou have you tried wearing skirts? I don't mean pencil skirts or anything like that but sort of long flowy skirts with a bit of give to them. Also, I got a few sort of empire line shirts from the H&M maternity department. They're good because they make a lot of room for the bump to grow. Plus they're soft.

Claire have also just caught up and am so pleased for you as well.

OnlyWantsOne · 25/05/2010 15:15

llkh how many weeks are you? Im 13 weeks tomorrow and have a definiate bump

Persnickety · 25/05/2010 15:35

Oh Claire I just want to say... How wonderfully fab! one more...

Regarding scans, I think early ones (i.e. in first trimester) are pretty accurate. It's when they start shifting dates based on scans in 20+ weeks that they aren't so accurate.

When I have my nuchal on 14th June, I plan to go with whatever date the scan comes up with. (I hope it is earlier. I want this baby as far BEFORE Christmas as possible)

Welcome LLKH. Go check out our stats thread when you have a chance.

PJen · 25/05/2010 15:44

I love my FIL. DH was telling him that I have already a small pooch and he corrected "it is called a bump not pooch!!"

LLKH congrats on getting married! How exciting!!!!

RaceyLacey · 25/05/2010 16:40

Hi everyone, have tried to keep up, but failed miserably , so thought I would pop my head round the door while I have a few spare minutes.

I'm 12wks tomorrow & have my scan on Friday, we're both very excited, but DP is suffering as he suffers with anxiety, panic attacks & migraines . He's had a migraine since Thursday and has been the worst I've seen him with it. Plus with the anxiety it's a vicious horrible circle, hopefully once we've seen our little baby he'll be ok.

The sickness has finally stopped, I haven't felt sick for a few days now, it's like a new lease of life.

We're off on holiday on Saturday so really busy trying to get everything ready. My parents have a caravan and we're going to Cornwall in that, so thank god I'm feeling ok now, or that would have been hell with just a chemical toilet & converted bed! Really looking forward to it as it will be our 1st family holiday together, just hoping that the weather stays like this. At least we have a big boot so that we can take enough clothes for every eventuality weatherwise!

Well I'm going to try and catch up with you all. Hope you are all well.

Don't know how to say it so will just get to the point. After a sudden bleed on Mon pm I went to A&E. The bleeding stopped and I was sent home. Last night I had another bleed with clots and pain. The bleeding continued and a scan confirmed our loss. A real shock as I was exactly 10 weeks. Hope I'm the last to post sad news. Take care ladies and I will check on your progress when feeling stronger. Enjoy xx

maxpower · 25/05/2010 18:41

Hi everyone, pleased to read everyone's good news for the last few days.

I'm really struggling with clothes. Last pg, I lost weight during the first trimester so had no problems with getting my torusers of etc. In fact, I was getting the hump when at 5 months pg most people had no idea because I didn't have a bump. This time, I'm already bursting out of my clothes. have resorted to skirts as much as possible as they're a bit more comfy.

Haven't told work yet which is making the wardrobe crisis worse! My manager is absolutely lovely and will be thrilled with my news (although it'll cause her a masive logistical headache!) but she's such a gossip! She's spread the word about the last 2 people in our division who have fallen pg and I just don't think she'll be able to resist, no matter how clear I make it that I don't want to go public until 12 weeks. I'm trying to hold out as she's on holiday next week, so by the time she's back I'll be 10+4 so I'm hoping that as it'll only be a few days, she might manage to keep it to herself!

I've found myself eating like a horse in the evenings. Poor DH can barely keep up with my requests for food! Last night I had chicken kiev, chips and salad, followed by a bowl of cornflakes, slice of toast and bowl of grapes. If you knew me, you'd know that that amount of food would normally last me a day - not one meal!

WhatWillSantaBring · 25/05/2010 18:43

I'm so sorry to hear that Cher - how absolutely awful for you. I hope you have lots of support around you and look after yourself. Remember you will get through this, xxx

ClaireDeLoon · 25/05/2010 19:45

Cher I'm so very sorry take care of yourself xxx

OnlyWantsOne · 25/05/2010 19:48

cher thats terrible really hope you are ok x

Wholelottalove · 25/05/2010 19:52

Cher so sorry to hear about your sad news. I hope you are being looked after well xx

Have just managed to read through updates, still feeling very sicky and knackered and a wee bit low with it now. And guilty about DD as I am so grumpy at the moment.

Racey - glad to hear your sickness has improved, that gives me hope. Sorry your DP is not feeling too good, I hope he's feeling better soon.

maxpower sounds like it would be good to hold out if you can if you're not keen on your boss spreading the word! It's so hard when people don't know at work isn't it?

And welcome LLKH

RaceyLacey · 25/05/2010 20:15

Cher - so sorry to read your news . Wishing you all the best and hope you (and everyone else who has had sad losses) comes back and tells us some good news very soon.

WalkTheDog · 25/05/2010 21:38

cher sorry for your loss, wishing you well for future.

I'm still only 8wks and a little and really am wishing the weeks away until 12 weeks.

When we were out for a walk tonight I suddenly noticed I looked pg - argh, how can that be! I haven't put on any weight (which is what I was aiming for as I put on 2 stone last year) but my belly seems to have expanded - think some is bloatng though. Note to self, not to wear my white fleece cardigan for a wee while!

Will catch up on the news another night - my parents are still visiting. They have been a brilliant help. My dad is pretty excited about being a granddad.

DuelingFanjo · 25/05/2010 21:43

oh cher I m so so sorry. it's just so unfair.

Persnickety · 25/05/2010 21:49

Oh no, cher. Deeply sorry

ClaireDeLoon · 25/05/2010 22:18

Sorry if this is tmi but I've just gushed lots and lots of bright red blood, all over my pj's and the floor. We're assuming they won't be able to scan me tonight or do anything to help at a&e so I'm in bed (on iPhone) and we'll go down to hospital first thing. There was so much blood I'm scared. It's eased off now.

DuelingFanjo · 25/05/2010 22:22

oh Claire, what a rollercoaster, Thinking of you.

PJen · 25/05/2010 22:46

Claire sweetheart are there clots among the blood?? A&E doesn't help at night so you are right about that. I have spent once 3 hours in there just to go back the next day to EPU. Don't be scared sweetheart. Go tomorrow first thing in the morning and get scanned... thinking of you and sending you hugs!
