It all went well, we have a HB

I'm also guessing another boy, I too was convinced DS1 was a girl so was also a bit shocked when he was a boy. I really don't mind though, I have 2 fantastic boys so another would be just the same!

ibiza you might feel like a heffalump but you are growing a baby and that is just fab!

I look like i'm 6 months gone already, I'm going to dig out the mat clothes tonight!

Hi all,

Well I have updated as the scan showed EDD to be 17th Jan (same as you mamasunshine). Just come back from hellish week away leading a school trip to France/ Belgium - not ideal with 40 teenagers and the exhaustion that goes with a school trip on top of everything else!!
Still, the photo of the scan kept me going... :-)
I also have large swollen belly, and am v glad am not going to hang out in Ibiza Ibizadreams!!

mamasunshine · 06/07/2010 14:47

ladybuzz - so pleased everything's ok yes, I agree 3 boy's would be lovely too!
crumblequeen - how old is your ds? I'm sure he'll love playgroup and that will ease your mind when he gets excited to go I've always found it very hard leaving my dc's, only ever leave them to go to nursery whilst I work. But my pil are going to stay at ours for a night at the end of this months, so me and dh can go away for the night [scared]!!!
ibizadreams - unfortunately my tummy is just flabby...would much prefer a beach ball! What job are you doing in Ibiza for the wk? !
mrsfrisby - exciting to share a date with someone!! I bet you're exhausted after your busy week..hope you recover soon

sarrita · 06/07/2010 15:00

mamasunshine don't be. I was overweight before I started!

littlehuman · 06/07/2010 15:54

whats EPU?(not in the acronyms list)

had midwife appt today, got to hear babys heart beat, pretty cool!

havent told my family yet, i am so worried they gonna p... me off with things, like they did for our wedding.quite happy to keep that LO to myself just now ;-)

LadyBuzz · 06/07/2010 16:06

littlehuman Early Pregnancy Unit.
My ILs p'd me off so much with DS1 but i'm passed caring (or listening) now enjoy it while it is all yours!

mamasunshine how old are your boys? just with saying they are both at Nursery they are prob similar ages to mine.

mrsfrisby you brave lady, hope you can chill and get over your week away!

mamasunshine · 06/07/2010 16:51

I had a lot of stress from dh's family in both pg's, so we still haven't told them, will prob leave it for another wk or 2 as well.
ladybuzz - ds1 is 2.4 and ds2 is just 1, they both started nursey at 9months due to work commitments. It wasn't any easier for ds2 either! But I found I had learnt to completely trust the nursery by then so that helped a little. The ladies are full of cuddles for the babies there too Ds1 really loves going now he's older, and I know they have 2 good days of activities a wk so takes the pressure off me a bit. So we just go to a couple of groups and park etc together!

LadyBuzz · 06/07/2010 17:13

mama my 2 love nursery! DS2 took a little more persuasion DS1 has never been a problem.

My 2 are 4 and 20 months so a little older then yours, you brave lady

sarrita · 06/07/2010 18:32

Ha! Must be feeling better. I am making bolognese.

Role on 2nd Trimester. For all you first timers (most of you, there will be one or two who won't feel 100%) look forward to a good stretch of feeling like yourself again!

But then... I did have a nap this pm. Congrats to all for scans and good news.

My due date is Jan 8th. What is the point of the list? Is it some forum thing?

crumblequeen · 06/07/2010 18:59

mama DS is 2.4 too - he was 6 March 2008 - so you have managed to squeeze in another baby in the time I am having two! He is very independent generally so I think it will be OK - he had his hair cut today and sat on his own not on my knee - I felt a bit redundant!

mamasunshine · 06/07/2010 19:51

ladybuzz - brave/totally and utterly bonkers I think more the latter. All I'm thinking is cleaner/nursery and mothers help! Even if only can afford the extra help for a few months of sleepless nights! I am quite terrified! Your eldest will be much more independent by jan too which will hel
sarrita - not really sure about the whole list thing? prob more relevant towards the end so we can all see who's due next/who jumps the queue/babies born and names thing?
crumble - 14th here. Ds1 is and always has been a breeze (apart from being premature!), whereas ds2 is much, much more demanding/hardwork, but lovely nonetheless! Neither are very independent though...will be working on that! And ds1 still has never had a haircut and his hair is still v short~! at your ds sitting nicely whilst having his cut, that would never happen here! I will be quite relieved to be done with having babies after the 3 in 3 years - it really is tiring!

Well you can tell I've been really busy all day with my lack of posts !

superparty · 06/07/2010 22:21

mama I could quite possibly faint, dh and ds will have to move out. You said she was aslepp in your post, do you think/know its a girl??

OMG at cats bringing dead things in the house I would have to get rid, they do kill mice and birds on a regular basis but never bring them in. They brought a whole pigeons wing covered in blood the other day, so theres a pigeon flying round in circles somewhere

ladybuzz you can have the honour of twins with pleasure, hope all was well at epu.

crumble can't wait, I'm getting a tad excited, we will have to take dd 5months with us, yes, you can imagine the looks (had them at booking) but I like shocking people when they say awww, your having another so soon, and I say yeah, number 6, always makes me smile. how old is your ds?

mothers help/cleaners sound like bliss but i would spend my days tidying before she got there so it wouldn't be messy . I go back to work in sept, but only have to go for 12wks (so i don't pay back my maternity pay)and then I am resigning, going to stay at home for a while as my mum/dad do alot of childcare for me and their not getting any younger (65) so I think they need a rest now.
So i will finish about the 10th of december, just in time for christmas, yay.

BunnyBaby · 06/07/2010 22:29

Hello, I read the thread every day, but am rubbish at posting. So have worked out how to update the list.

I have added those at the end of the list into date order, and just tidied it up a bit

Hopefully this works, I am happy to be shouted at if anyone not happy with format, or if I have made any mistakes .

Obviously feeling a bit less nauseous and tired as able to update. I have left myself on list as DS1 was a whopping 17 days late so do not picture this one arriving until at least 6th Jan :

SaraL77 · 07/07/2010 15:18

Hi there,

thought I'd join the thread as I'm new. I'm afraid I'm not quite up to speed with the abbreviations but I guess I'll pick them up.

This is my 2nd pregnancy, I'm due 25th Jan, have a 15month old boy and feel worse this time round, mainly nausea, strangely before and after eating, and just suffered 2 bouts of V&D which I think is down to too rich/fatty food. Looking fat but no bump yet- showing sooner than last time but I guess I'm more stretchy this time- lol!

Nice to chat to others since I can't tell anyone I'm preggers yet...

superparty · 07/07/2010 21:43

hey there Sara, congratulations, hope your not sufferinf too much.

I'll see your 2nd pg and 15mth old son, and raise you 6th pg and 5mth old baby girl (baby will be 12months on 26th jan 2011 and this one is due 23rd jan. (yes i am the crazy one))

Are you not telling until your 12wk scan??

SeoMum · 08/07/2010 05:45

Sorry i've not been around for a while really struggling with the pregnancy feel ill and tired all the time and get awful headaches and now I can't even sleep all joys of being pregnant.

I feel so alone atm as my friends and family live miles away have spent the last week at my mums just crying and now my DH has brought me home which doesn't feel like a home but work since I am self employed.

I've used mumsnet for support but feel too much bullying goes on and after my posts were removed for sticking up for someone who was getting attacked for their comments and I was accused of trying to advertise even though I didn't mention any brand name or post any link and actually have always said in my posts that I have another opinion but felt an open mind is best and didn't like to see the OH get attacked so I am leaving mumsnet.

I feel like my last line of suppport is gone and don't know what to do but I have enjoyed getting to know you all. I wish you all the best in your pergnancies and hope you all have lovely beautiful healthy babies in January.

Goodbye.

mamasunshine · 08/07/2010 08:10

Oh seomum please don't leave. As hard as it is please try to ignore some of the unpleasantness that goes on on mumsnet at times. I've had my fair share too!! You could just stay and chat to us on this thread? Maybe just have a little break until you feel a bit stronger? You sound like you could really do with the support. Do you and dh have any friends/support close by? I've been very up and down to, and I'm booking into have some accupuncture done to see if that will help. Sending you big hugs

LadyBuzz · 08/07/2010 08:26

oh seomum don't leave. I'm with mamasunshine just stay here with us.

I barely ever post anywhere other then here and my PN thread and TBH I don't know how I would have coped without them after DS2 was born and I went through a really bad time.

If you do decide to go though, all the best, hope you start to feel better soon and you too have a beautiful healthy baby in Jan.

Welcome saraL and congratulations.

mrsfrisby · 08/07/2010 08:53

Hi Seomum - I just want to say that I can understand why you would want to leave, as I have experienced the venomous nature of some people on this site. Not on this antenatal site, but when I ventured naively into another conversation I was quite hurt by the judgemental and rude comments that were made. I have since decided just to stick to this site as I have not experienced or noted anything other than supportive people. I too am feeling pretty isolated and miserable, having had the sickness/ headaches etc and find that even just reading about others in the same boat has helped. Hope you stick around, even if it's just on here....

mamasunshine · 08/07/2010 08:56

I'm back...had to do the porridge and fruit run

superparty - have a feeling it's a girl, although could very well be completely wrong! And of course I would love to have a 3rd boy just as much Just very different pg so far and I did the ring test on tummy and said it was a girl rubbish i know!! I have a girl's name I would just loooooove to use These naughty cats bringing their toys into your houses at shocking looks, I'm looking forward to that too, although last time I was highly offended by anyone who was negative about a samll gap!
Love the list bunnybaby! 17 days late? Wow! Did you wait for spontaneous labour?
sanielle - hope the scan went well?
Welcome and congrats saraL77 - hope you're starting to feel better? Do you have a scan date yet? I showed very early with ds2,. but not showing yet (really) with dc3?!

Well I've just spoken to midwife and at last have a booking appointment for the 17th...I'll be 14wks !! Already feeling the need to have a big clear out and clean at home. We're quickly running out of storage space so it's all gonna have to go. Plus will porb be moving house next year sometime which will be a nightmare as it is, so the less stuff the better! Going to tell rest of family we're pg in another week or so. Don't think I'll get away with it much longer than that! Hope everyone's well and starting to feel a bit more 'normal' again? Only another week for me and in 2nd trimester

mamasunshine · 08/07/2010 09:08

ladybuzz and anyone else who is having a VBAC this time. I've just started a new thread for VBAC support on antenatal if you would like to join? We can share any advice/questions etc in one place with other's trying for the same thing.
