reb01 so, so sorry. Sending hugs and thoughts to you x

splodge77 · 03/07/2010 10:25

reb01, so sorry to hear this. Take care xx

BunnyBaby · 03/07/2010 19:06

reb01 so sorry and lots of love to your precious angel.

rhg really awful you've had more bleeding, glad it has settled. I was told EPU up to 12 weeks then go to casualty and they should find an obstretician who can scan. If not happy go tocasualty they should have expertise to have a look. I am sure all is well and if I was in the same position I'd be just as worried.

muser good luck with scan

me, just battling heartburn and still feel sick but a bit more energy now. Bought some more nice mat clothes today. Can feel 'baby bubbles' wiggling although only became aware with DS1 at 17 weeks.

Should be exchanging contracts and moving by the end of the month which will be a relief ds1 also got place in nursery of choice so more peace of mind.

Anyone else hating the heat and not being able to sleep?

tellnoone · 03/07/2010 19:23

reb01 I'm so sorry.

I haven't checked in here at all since my first post, but I have been lurking.
Can I stay - my scan put me at 28th December!
My other 2 were late by a week/almost a week, so I reckon it will be January 2011.

berrycravings · 03/07/2010 20:17

BunnyBaby glad I am not the only one. My DH puts ice packs in the bed a good hr before I go to bed, then the ice packs go in my 'zippy' hotwater bottle cuddley cover. Lovely and cool to cuddle. I also went and got a spray mister (was in the garden section) but great for cooling down at night or in the car. Hope you find some solutions.

tellnoone of course you should stay is nice to have people at the same stage to chat to

Me, pregnancy headache today just starting to ease. Have searched and searched and no aquanatal locally which am disappointed about. Have a tour of the local David Lloyd to see what they can offer, I don't really have the spare cash but really want to stay healthy. Have started trying to eat healthy now feeling better, my greatest achievments so far are managing to eat veg again (tho covered in cheese source to hide the taste used to love them), eating fish twice a week (was eating none) and switching to wholemeal bread. Still eating lots of stawberries and ice cream. Anyone have healthy snack reccommendations to replace the 'extra' bags of crips during the day?

BunnyBaby · 03/07/2010 20:41

tellnoone pull up a chair, I've been given EDD of 25th December, but as DS1 was a whopping 17 days late, I'm certain this will be a Jan baby too!

Sorry if my last post was a bit confusing, got the comments on this thread muddles with my other thread for ladies pregnant after miscarriage.

berrycravings sorry no suggestions crisps also get me through but trying to eat versions with low calories and fat like quavers

Have a lovely evening all!

crumblequeen · 04/07/2010 09:52

Reb01 - so sorry for your loss.

Berrycravings - I am snacking all the time so trying to keep them healthy! Having krisprolls with hummous (or tuna and sweetcorn mixed with hummous), bread with peanut butter, chopped up fruit with yogurt, flaked almonds and honey on top, bowls of cereal (gets some extra calcium in too) and love small bowls of cous cous with feta.

But more difficult to make healthy snacks I think if you are at work? - I am SAHM so have access to the kitchen, even if it is with 2yo hanging off legs! How about soup? (packets or tins to have in a mug - I used to keep soup in my drawer at work as was always hungry!)

lilllysa · 04/07/2010 10:04

So so many messages since I last checked in!!

Trying to catch up with them all . . Please dont think me rude if I dont see a message by you

So so sorry for your news Reb01 Nothing I can say that I'm sure you havent heard a million times already but I hope you and your family are coping ok xx

Still not reached my 12 week scan! Stressing to death about it!! Only another week to go so trying to keep busy!

My food intake is still stupidly high to the point where I'm waking in the night and have to have a piece of toast or some kinda little snack lol!!

Boobs are massive and have started leaking already (!!!) aparently because I bf for so long last time this is normal??? Sigh!

I keep seeing great deals on prams and stuff like that but just darent get one yet . . somedays I barely feel cheggers anymore so it just seems too soon!

Oh also ladies dont forget to set a reminder to apply for the Health in Pregnancy cashola! . . It gets abolished in Jan so apply for it as soon as you can!

Funkymonkey my nextdoor neighbour has 5 DC so has advise on EVERYTHING. When I told her I was feeling tired (perfectly natural IMO) she said that there is noway I should still be tired "this far on" (11wks today) and I should be worried and start taking iron!

Anyways DD complaining that I'm still in my PJ's when she wants to walk the doggie so hopefully be back to catch up with everyone soon!

Good luck for any up and coming scans xx

lilllysa · 04/07/2010 10:07

OooOoooo and Snack-a-Jacks are my numbero uno snack right now. . If you like that kinda thing

tellnoone · 04/07/2010 13:18

Gosh BunnyBaby, 17 days!

I am eating far too much, pickled onion monster munch mostly. Soups to keep at work sounds a good idea. I'm still incredibly tired at 14 weeks.

MacMomo · 04/07/2010 22:39

wholemeal toast and marmalade (counts as fruit doesn't it?); croissants; yoghurt pots. That is my entire diet for the last 2 days along with fresh cherries and innocent smoothies. Am taking supplements to make up for total lack of vegetables!

Yay, had the scan and it was fine, amazed to see the The Prawn just having fun! Watched it have the hiccups and roll about a few times, totally incredible. DH finally gets that it's there, I think . Sonographer dates conception from 3 days before we even had sex; when I pointed out this was impossible she agreed but wouldn't change the due date! How odd is that?

Can cats tell you're pregnant? Mine won't sit anywhere except on the bump, maybe they can feel the heartbeat or maybe it's a bit warmer there.

Hope everyone is feeling better by now, if you're not then it will get better very soon. I discovered my lack of exercise is laziness not pregnancy-related symptoms - faced with a 45 minute walk home in pouring rain, I opted to run it instead. Felt fine. Now I feel guilty for sitting around for so many weeks! Didn't tell DH - don't want the sympathy to dry up yet!

superparty · 04/07/2010 23:03

Funkymonkey & lillysa I'm on baby no 6 (11wks)an have never required iron tablets at this early stage despite being extremely tired, did you have bloods took at your booking appointment, coz they will know if you are anaemic and need iron. but i doubt you will.

waves to mamasunshine, hope all goes well with your scan, I'm another that is still waiting, mines not till the 15th july, I HOPE I'M NOT THE ONE WITH TWINS, omg I would faint at having 7 children that would just be too cruel. (although my masochistic side thinks it might be fun)

hope everyone is doing ok and sorry if i've missed anything

splodge77 · 05/07/2010 09:35

hi all, berrycravings i can't stop eating cucumber with sour cream dip. can't think what is in a cucumber that i'm craving - thought they were mostly just water!! Also avocado mashed up with tuna and mayo spread on toast - looks disgusting but tastes yummy!

macmomo thats interesting about the cat, mine has also been being much nicer to me than usual - he's usually quite a feisty, bitey beast but recently has been all cuddly and curling up by my tummy on the bed in the mornings. very strange!

FunkyMonkey1983 · 05/07/2010 10:38

Reb01 I'm so sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to you.

superparty I had bloods taken at my booking in appointment and a few days later my midwife phoned and told me I would need to take iron tablets. It didn't come as a huge surprise anyway I've always had a low blood count.

HopingCatPlusThree · 05/07/2010 11:24

So sorry Reb01.

I went to have my bloods redone (after hospital managed to leave them out in the heat rather than put them fridge!) and MW felt a bit sorry for messing me around so she had a listen to heartbeat for me. It was so good! In this area you don't get to hear a heartbeat at the scan and MW doesn't normally even try until 16 weeks, so it felt like a real treat. I now think I know that I'm having a boy. My DDs heartbeat sounded completely different to my DS, so I think I'm having DS2.

Anyone else fancy having a guess at what they are having?

crumblequeen · 05/07/2010 12:25

superparty hurray my scan date has just come through for the 15th too so we can be last together!

DS seems to have turned into a devil child at the moment though - maybe he suspects he may be usurped, like the cats!

littlehuman · 05/07/2010 13:06

macmomo
my cats are a pain in the arse as usual... no curling up or cuddle on my tummy at all
in fact the old one has stopped sleeping with us at night and if he does not get attention(or food) within 10 seconds he pees on the floor(rug, clothes...)rrgghhhh!!!
and the wee one brings him things to eat at night!
i had to deal with a cat devoring a entire squirrel last night and later on a bird and pee all over my clothes
nights are very very short for me!!!
i cant possibly think that a baby would wake me up as often as my cats lol...

sarrita · 05/07/2010 18:32

Had my booking scan, all's good. I got 3 pictures and they had a good look at the baby. Much better than with my DS where the sour scanographer gave me a date and a picture and told me to get on my way. And she normally scanned for kidney stones and the like!

macmomo a baby is born between 37 and 42 weeks. Your baby may mature more quickly in the womb and you will be ready to deliver closer to 37 than 42. It was the same with my DS. It seemed my due date was a bit early, but when he came out - only 2 days after his due date - he was definitely late. Very wrinkly and the placenta had started to calcify, a sign of post-maturity.

My one this time again seems like it's a bit quick again.

Still feeling a bit peeky and tired. I suppose it is good news that I have lost 12 pounds in the last 3 months - now I can eat as much cake as I want. Yee ha.

superparty · 05/07/2010 23:07

funkymonkey hope the iron tablets make you feel better , I'm also thinking that my last post was wrong as I am really really exhausted and would'nt be surprised if I need them too

yay crumblequeen we can be scan buddies, what time is yours mines not til 4.10pm, must be like the last appointment of the day I'll be like a cat on a hot tin roof all day with excitement. I'm also a bit scared that they won't find anything, as I don't really feel pg at the mo, but we had to tell family this weekend as I look about 6mnths and can't hide it any longer

littlehuman I hate my cats at the mo, they just seem to follow me everywhere, meiowing constantly.

hc+3 great news with heartbeat, how exciting, I really don't know what I'm, getting, I have 1 ds from a previous relationship and me and DH have 4dds so odds would say a dd, but I put the babys details in the chinese prediction thing for a laugh, and it said my baby I had in january10 would be a girl, and my details this time said a boy so who knows, I won't know what to do with a boy after all these years(ds is 17) and plus with baby only being 12months when this one comes I'll still have all her clothes, if its a boy its a whole new wardrobe

Hope everyone is doing ok, and feeling good.

thinking of you and your family reb01

mamasunshine · 05/07/2010 23:19

[waves] to superparty - twins for you would be !! Had scan today, I was 12 weeks exactly so due on the 17th Jan...only 1 bean bouncing around Although not so much bouncing, she must have been asleep! They are getting stats together at my local hospital to apply to be able to start doing the nuchal scans. So I had a nuchal scan for free so they could use a picture of my bean. I was told baby looked absolutely perfect, and you couldn't have a better scan
hopingcat - at hb! I'm thinking girl for some reason...although I'll be very happy with a 3rd boy if I'm wrong!
sarrita - 12 lbs ? I'm a little !!! Enjoy that cake!
superparty and crumble - only a wk left, hope it doesn't drag too much for you both.

Well, I told my parents and work. They were all at 3rd baby in as many years! My mum's scaring me with the realism, but they're all happy etc! Not telling other's just yet though...I'm still digesting it myself Have been thinking/looking at finances for hiring a cleaner and mother's help for 3/4 months once baby's here to help me. So saving the pennies starts now Not that we ever have any left over but I'll have to try harder!

Food wise for me still not brill. Snack on fruit/bread sticks/sandwiches/yogurt/crisps and choc most of the time. But very funny about what I can eat with sickness still on/off. Will try harder next week ! Hope you're all well, and congrats to anyone else who've had scans

great news mamashine glad it went well. I have an EPU app this morning as I've been having alot of pain over the weekend. I am a tiny bit nervous.

Hope its not me thats having the twins!

crumblequeen · 06/07/2010 10:42

superparty my scan is at 3.30 so we can both update in the evening! We are taking DS with us so I hope its not running too late. I too don't really feel pregnant but definitely struggling to hide belly now, luckily I won't see my family until after scan (don't live nearby) so can still wait to tell them.

ladybuzz hope all well at EPU.

I was convinced DS was a girl all the way through so got a shock when he wasn't - I feel exactly the same so far so I would guess a boy and would be very happy with that, but I know I won't care either way when it arrives.

mamasunshine mothers help sounds great - we had a cleaner while I was on maternity leave and it was great, until I decided not to go back to work then lots of cost cutting was needed! DS does start a playgroup 2 mornings from September though so I will at least have 2 toddler free mornings, and might increase it to 3 if he is happy there. Getting jittery about it as I have never left him with anyone before - maybe twice for an hour with my mum but I am sure it will be fine!

Ibizadreams · 06/07/2010 11:29

Hello everyone, thought I'd pop in and say hi, see how everyone's getting on and report that I LOOK ENORMOUS at 14 weeks and it's my first!

I'm working in Ibiza for the week and everyone out here is very skinny and beautiful... I feel like spotty heffalump in comparison.

Is anyone else looking like they've eaten a small beach ball or is it just me??

littlehuman My cat has upped his stockpiling of rodents in the last couple of months, and leaves them outside the bedroom - charming!
