Oh yes, I need to start doing some exercise as well - talk about revenge of the bingo wings since I last went to the gym about 3 months ago... awful.

Does anyone know if you can still do light weights for arms and thighs??

Feeling very smug today as have felt better than I have in months, just ate a whole pizza and it doesn't seem to want to come back... happy days!

mrsfrisby · 23/06/2010 19:34

Have just discovered some ambrosia - monster munch pickled onion crisps. Wow!! Felt a bit nauseous and tried them, perfect solution . Really want my scan letter to come through now, half the school knows due to jungle drums and I dread the idea that I may have to go back and inform them otherwise. Am annoyed at one of the (adult) gossips at school who has apparently broadcast it to almost all my colleagues - do you all agree that it was a bit thoughtless of her?? Anyway, trying not to get too het up as my moods have a life of their own at the mo!!

WalkTheDog · 23/06/2010 20:22

I add sour cherry lollipop to the anti-nauseous pile. OH had bought them as prizes for summer fete last wknd, felt a bit quesy, so give one a go, worked a treat

mamasunshine · 23/06/2010 20:32

Hello

Conratulations to everyone who's had scans ...love your pic seomum
Welcome to all the new ladies and congrats too!
berrycravings - Davina's pregnancy DVD is pretty easy going, agree swimming/aqua aerobics, brisk walking and pilates/yoga...all really good during pg. I'm going to pick up on my running again as soon as the tiredness has eased.
mummychicken and ladybuzz - twins I would have 4 under 3, that couldn't possibly happen to me (dh had a dream that John Lennon told him we were habing twins !!)
hi superwoman - did your dd enjoy her bday sleep over, sounded like great fun
stenogirl - you poor thing, how scary that must have been, hope you've recovered and have been reassured by your midwife?
Hope your scan went well yesterday missckitty?
And hope you enjoy your scan tomorrow hopingcat+3

Have once again had a very hard week, but feeling sooooo much better today. 11 wks now, so hoping I'm through the worse of the 1st trimester. Ds has developed chicken pox, please remind me that my bean will be ok because I had CP as a child? Scan is a wk next Mon...ages away! Still haven't told work/any family, but my tummy is starting to stick out a bit now so will have to start trying to hide it a bit! Weighed myself on Mon and haven't put any weight on at all apparently? Don't know how that's possible as I've been living off fast food crisps and chocolate ...oh I've missed my the last week!

hope you're all doing well and getting over the worse too? x

mamasunshine · 23/06/2010 20:33

congratulations!

LadyBuzz · 23/06/2010 20:43

mamasunshine, yes you should be fine with CP if you have had it. I checked with my GP a couple of weeks ago!

I seem to be feeling worse as time goes on i thought it was supposed to ease off. 3 weeks til my scan, can't wait it has seemed like ages!

DS1 is 4 tomorrow so I have a family party to organise - do you ever wished you not agreed to something??? Still it is at MILs so no cleaning up to do

Hi to everyone else, we are all verly nearly passed the first stage - how exiting

MissCKitty · 23/06/2010 21:40

Hi ladies, all good at scan. Bean has grown from 6mm to 18mm in the two weeks since my mc scare!!! V strong heartbeat (got to hear it - wanted to cry) Its all going well and just beginning to sink that 'Oh my god' I am going to be a mom!!! Estimated due date of 29/01/2011 (1 day after my 32nd birthday)but cos of my diabetes it could be 3 or 4 weeks earlier than that!!

Hope all you lovely ladies are well today and any of you that had scans over the last couple of days, I hope everything went well.

MissCKitty · 23/06/2010 21:43

PS my pregnancy info bounty pack from the midwife didn't contain my voucher for the Mum-to-be essentials pack. Does anyone know how i get that?

CardyMow · 23/06/2010 23:11

Hi. I got my BFP on May 11th. I had an early scan on the 14th June (saw hb) that gave me an EDD of 16th Jan. Which makes me 10+3 today. I have 3 dc's already, DD 12yo, DS1 8yo and DS2 6.5yo. I lost twins to TTTS in between DD and DS1, I had a sb baby boy in Nov 2008 at 19 wks and 5 days, and I had an MMC in march. I am understandably nervous that this one won't stick, but so far everything seems really good. I have had my booking in appointment. The sickness is making me want to curl up and die, but at least it's a good sign that jellybean is doing well. I have my 12 wk scan on the 5th July, when I should be 12+1.

LadyBuzz · 24/06/2010 08:51

Welcome loudlass so sorry to hear of your losses, fingers crossed for you this time.

missckitty I think you can get them sent to you from the bounty website, if not phone your mw and ask her.

I loved my first bounty pack, i couldn't stop looking at the teeny tiny nappy in it!

sarrita · 24/06/2010 13:51

Hello again.

Thank you for your kind remarks stenogirl and ladysunhine. Littlehuman, I liked your comment about the paddling pool!

Sorry to hear of your scare stenogirl - I hope you are feeling well. And loudlass, I hope very much this one 'sticks' too. Sorry for your loses.

I have my nuchal fold and 13 week scan (but I'll be 12 but in my 13th- hope that doesn't matter) next week. But I seem to cook my babies a bit quick. I am due at 39 weeks. My DS came out 2 days after his due date and was definitely late. He was wrinkly, all his skin came off and the placenta had started to calcify.

Have lost 10 pounds from not eating - as feeling sick. Which I am happy about, as it means I can put it all back on when I start to feel better.

Can't wait for scan and to start telling people, although I have been pretty bad about that.

Just had another nap while DS is at childminder.

Fingers and toes crossed for all of us as 13 weeks comes. Good Luck everybody.

sarrita · 24/06/2010 13:52

OOh sorry - I meant mamasunshine.

HoneyBee30 · 24/06/2010 19:25

Hi ladies, can I join? I'm 30 and expecting my first baby. EDD 1st Jan 2011. I had a scan on Monday at 12+4 - all was well and they agreed my dates. It's taken us 2 and a half years to get to this stage so I don't think it's really sunk in yet, but seeing the scan has definitely made it feel more real. I'm just hoping and praying that everything continues to go smoothly. (tho I could do without feeling so sick )

mrsfrisby · 24/06/2010 21:47

Hi Honeybee. I am also expecting my first and feel anxious that everything be ok. Seems very weird and people keep asking how I feel and honestly? Sick, a bit scared sometimes, tired... Am sure it will become real and exciting at some point!! How come its taken you 2 1/2 years?? I hope everything goes seamlessly for you from now...

mamasunshine · 24/06/2010 22:01

Hi
Hope your ds1 had a good birthday ladybuzz? It's my ds2's bday tomorrow, but due to illness have had to cancel his bday party we'll just do something small as a family instead and re-arrange party in a few wks.
at scan missckitty !!
loudlass - welcome and sorry for the sad times you have had, how hard for you. Wishing you a very healthy, happy pregnancy my scan's on the 5th too!
sarrita - my ds2 was 4 days over dd and was very wrinkly and had very dry skin too, so thinking I'm more likely to be in my 39th week this time!
Hello and congrats honeybee every pg is of course wonderful and special, but the 1st pg is just astounding. I read my pg bk every day and knew the exact size etc of bean all the way through On pg no.3 and have no idea now, haven't had time to pick a bk up yet!! Just try and enjoy every minute of it, as slow as it feels it will soon be over and you'll wonder where the 9 months has gone! (obviously it gets easier to actually 'enjoy' it once the sickness has passed!) Sorry just read about it taking you 2 1/2 years, you must be in shock still here's to a smooth pg for you!

Still feeling better, but don't want to get my hopes up just in case! Really struggling to keep my tummy in, it's hurting with all the breathing in!

FunkyMonkey1983 · 25/06/2010 11:52

I had my scan on Tuesday and they have now moved my EDD to 27/12/10 because the baby is bigger than expected however my family have a history of long babies so I'm convinced I won't give birth until January 2011, so I hope you don't mind if I stay on the January thread. I like it here!

LadyBuzz · 25/06/2010 17:30

mamasunshine he had a fantastic day thankyou, hope your DS2 enjoyed his today.

I know exactly what you mean about reading the books, I must have had a look at something everyday first time round, last time I had a couple of quick glances and like you this time I have not picked the book up!

I'm excited for your scan to see if you are having twins

Welcome honeybee and congrats

funkymonkey stay with us, we like having yoiu

Chica31 · 25/06/2010 18:14

Like many of you I am finding it so different the second time around. Sometimes I even forget I am pregnant, when I am not feeling nauseous. Last time I had signed up to every website and read nearly every book going!

All I worry about is DD, work and busy life like every one else!

All going well, still waiting for 12 week scan date, I'll phone the hospital next week if I don't get one soon.

MissCKitty · 27/06/2010 17:10

Thanx mamasunshine

Hope all you lovely ladies are well and this beautiful sunshine isn't too hot for you. Also that you are not to disappointed by the football..........

Just wondering if any of you are noticing an already expanding waistline. Am trying to eat v healthy, lots of fruit and stuff but my tummy is growing v quickly. Is this normal?

WalkTheDog · 27/06/2010 18:23

Not too hot here, and we've had some heavy rain, but we need it.

My bump seems to have appeared over the last 2 days, not big, but more bump now than pot belly!

Honeybee30 know what you mean about having the scan and making it feel more real. I actually asked the woman "so there is a baby there!".

berrycravings · 27/06/2010 19:40

Please tell me I'm not the only one hating the heat? I spent months hoping for a hot summer, and now i'm finding it unbarable. I'm sleeping with an icepack and no douvet. Have been outside to put washing on the line and had to come in and get DH to do it. Feel so pathetic.

mamasunshine thank you for the Davina DVD tip, I like the idea of getting fit in the privacy of my own home

walkthedog I also asked the women if there was really a baby there

Hope everyone's sickness is starting to improve, I'm nearly a week clear, although still very tired all the time.

Wishing everyone well for the week ahead

littlehuman · 27/06/2010 19:50

hi berrycravings
sorry to disapoint you but i am loving that weather(not so much when i got to work though)....
have a good week too ( 13 weeks scan on tuesday, cant wait its like going to visit my baby in a weird way)

FunkyMonkey1983 · 28/06/2010 11:14

MissCKitty I know what you mean about expanding waistline. I'm trying to eat very healthy too but my stomach is growing and it's really noticeable because I'm quite slender. I'm actually quite self-conscious about it and my colleague just pointed out that I must've popped over the weekend because it's now obvious I'm pregnant.

HopingCatPlusThree · 28/06/2010 13:48

Hi. Well done to everyone having scans. Had my scan too and due date has been moved so I am now past 12 weeks, which feels great. I'm telling the world now Now due 9th Jan, so I've missed out on getting SMP by 1 day due to changing jobs! Was good to see a real baby in there, particularly as I've started feeling much better and that was concerning me.

Only problem I've now got is that hospital have rung to say all the blood they took off me at last week's appointment was incorrectly stored, so I have to go back and have all the tests done again. Not impressed as it's not that straightforward to find babysitters etc and I'm not that keen on needles.

LadyBuzz · 28/06/2010 13:56

hopingcat you could ask your mw to change the date by 1 day on your mat B1form - they fill them in so it is always worth a try!
It seems a shame to miss out by 1 day!

Congratulations that all is well though!

I'm also loving the hot weather but it is making me very very tired.
