partyofseven.... 5 pg? wow super mom!! Just hoping I last this one without lasting damage to my sanity!! lol
Those sea sick bands do seem to work I've been wearing them for a couple of days now and def less nausea x

MissCKitty · 08/06/2010 08:24

berry My boy and I had a good chat yesterday about things and he understands thats there's nothing I can do and that when i'm off on one all I really want is a cuddle!but he's really on edge too cos he's given up smoking over the weekend! we might just have to live in seperate parts of the house for a few days until it all calms down lol

This annual leave thing is bliss, I can nap when i want, wear slobby clothes, be grumpy if i want..........lovely x

got an appt at the EPU this morning. Will let you all know how it goes xx

Partyofsevensoontobeeight · 08/06/2010 09:11

good luck today missckitty

i don't know about being super mum, but i manage to get everyone to school/out the door on time with lunches etc, and then closemyeyestothemess, do a bit of tidying, feed cats & rabbits, children and dh, oh and bath them occasionally too, but then again i am definately a bit insane to.

i just continue to feel sick all the time, but am not actually sick so thats good (felt like this with no5) no sore boobs but am absolutely exhausted, i can't get up in the morning when my alarm goes off, so i have set it earlier so i can snooze it a couple of times before getting up.

littlehuman · 08/06/2010 12:19

first scan today
as I expected it not 12 weeks pg but 10weeks(dont mind as i get a extra scan for free in 3 weeks lol)
so far so good
got 3 nice pictures of what look like a little hamster :-)
was more emotionnal than i thought i would to be honnest anyway...
i would have to change my edd slightly to 3rd of january.

FunkyMonkey1983 · 08/06/2010 12:22

I'm 10 weeks today and my sickness seems have disappeared, is this normal? I'm terrified that something is wrong!

I keep prodding my boobs to check if they're still sore and now I'm convincing myself they're not!

Aaaaargh! I've turned into a totally crazy pregnant woman!

crumblequeen · 08/06/2010 12:31

littlehuman congratulations on first scan!

funkymonkey I think that is pretty normal yes - I am feeling much less tired this week and also keep poking boobs and I am only coming up for 8 weeks but the symptoms affect everyone differently - make the most of it - they may be back yet!

FunkyMonkey1983 · 08/06/2010 12:42

crumblequeen I hope you're right and the symptoms are just easing off a bit. It's weird, I almost want the sickness back so I know everything is ok. My scan isn't for another 2 weeks.
I feel sorry for my DH, I've spent weeks complaining about being sick and now I'm complaining because I'm not being sick!

FunkyMonkey1983 · 08/06/2010 12:43

littlehuman congrats on your scan! You've now got the same EDD as me!

Partyofsevensoontobeeight · 08/06/2010 13:02

pg really does make even the most sane woman go a little crazy, we don't like being ill with it, but when it stops we want it back, i'm sure there will be plenty more pg related symptoms for us to moan about before the seven months is up.

just some things to look forward to: varicous veins, bloating, indigestion, heartburn, frequent urinating, insomnia, weird dreams, spd, i'm not really selling it am i

best of all - baby cuddles, new baby smell, and all of the above disappearing fairly quickly

congrats to all who have pics of their babys

HopingCatPlusThree · 08/06/2010 13:19

funkymonkey I completely understand your concern about your symptoms going away. I had same fears last week but the Dr I spoke to was not concerned. I've found that mine have not disappeared as I thought, they've just changed, and I think I've started to manage them better. I can stop myself feeling sick if I get enough sleep and eat regularly, and I am finding it has to be real food like sandwiches rather than a snack like biscuits. So I'm having at least 2 breakfasts and 2 lunches and am piling the weight on but I don't care! And don't worry if your boobs aren't sore. Mine aren't either.

I'm a bit envious of those of you who have a scan date, and even more of those who've had a scan. I've not got booking in appointment, scan date or anything yet. Am feeling a bit left out!

littlehuman · 08/06/2010 14:36

except for bigger boobs(still quite sore though) , i got no symtom at all now,
i eat for 10 (but i sort of always had so its hard to tell if its caused by pregnancy or not ;o).
still bloody exhausted but defo due to working too much plus cat been very poorly lately(diabetes) and been the main cause of my concerns

so i would not worry about symptoms disapearing but finally enjoy pregnancy.

Kitty30 · 08/06/2010 16:15

Hi ladies, I am 29 and about 8 weeks pregnant. Feeling very overwhelmed! Dont quite feel ready for it yet but hoping the more I get into the pregnancy the more I will get into :-)
Going for my first scan tomorrow but my expected due date is around the 12 Jan.

Not feeling too bad - I constantly have a full feeling (although I am always hungry!!) and very tired!!

mrsfrisby · 08/06/2010 16:34

Hi Kitty - I am feeling similar. In fact, thank god for this forum as I think I can empathise with so many people.. Certainly the nausea, tiredness etc. Am taking tomorrow off work, as spent most of the morning leaving my (mature, sensible) class to go to the toilet. Tomorrow's group can't be left alone so they will be better off with supply. Realised when I got home that I had left my keys at work so stood in rain and cried tears of frustration and exhaustion. With you all on the crazy hormones, last week I kept turning into full blown raging psycho about the littlest things. I have also found that my self-edit button has switched itself off, so whatever poisonous comment I am thinking (about DH) comes right out. Not always good
How did you get early scan littlehuman?

Kitty30 · 08/06/2010 17:00

Hi MrsFrisby - I today forgot a lunch with a friend which was in my calendar for ages. I blame the hormones! But I am waiting until after the scan tomorrow to start telling people about the pregnancy. Do most people wait until week 12 to tell work / friends?

berrycravings · 08/06/2010 19:12

Hi kitty I've told the people I confide in and trust for two reasons one I was so excited a few weeks ago I couldn't help myself (now just feeling poorly so not told anyone else) and also they are the people i would need support from if anything did go wrong. I've told my family and three of my best friends. I also had to tell my boss at work a few weeks ago as was needing extra breaks. Going to hold of telling anyone else until the scan 12 week scan(only 2 weeks away now). I advise doing what feels right for you

Have cried 3 times today so far. Poor DH not sure this was the week of he was hoping for. He's having to go back to the shops for a second time as I now want tomato soup for tea!

mummychicken · 08/06/2010 20:14

I got over emotional over a baby duck today!! For god's sake I've eaten enough of them with hosin sauce for it not to bother me - blaming hormones!

I'm pretty sure that:
a) every one who hasn't had a scan yet is worried about something
b) every one who has had a scan is worried about something else
C) Those with severe symptoms are worried that it isn't normal
d) Those without symptoms are worried that it isn't normal

I SERIOUSLY blame google - I've said it before, I NEVER had these worries when pg with DS - that was before I had a laptop!!!

MacMomo · 08/06/2010 22:44

Anyone got any advice for spot cream you can use during pregnancy? Small children have started running away from me in supermarkets.

The frog in a pool of blood on the kitchen floor this morning really helped keep my breakfast down. Cat now fitted with day-glo collar and enormous bell.

CardyMow · 09/06/2010 00:05

Gatecrashing as I finally have been given a due date. I'm due on 16th January. It will be my 4th child, but I've had a lot of early mc's, 2 mmc's (one straight before I fell pg this time, hence the not knowing my EDD), and I have also lost my little angel at 19 weeks and 5 days in November 2008. I am 8+3 today, so HELLO!

MissCKitty · 09/06/2010 10:09

Hi ladies, hope you are all well today. Had my first antenatal appt yesterday. It was mostly about my diabetes more than the pregnancy so spoke to my diabetes specialist nurse and a midwife and all seems ok so far. Got a scan 22/6 when i'll be about 9 weeks so am v excited for that.

mrsfrisby · 09/06/2010 10:43

Hi all,

Am lying on the sofa today, as decided that the last two days work have been so horrific that I couldnt face it today. Still feel crap but it's easier to feel crap lying on sofa than in busy classroom... Cried at the doctors this morning as I am so sick of feeling/ being sick... Oh, and I imagine the pesky hormones may have contributed to the tearful episode. Fortunately the doc told me she had been signed off work as her MS was so debilitating. Instantly felt better

littlehuman · 09/06/2010 12:46

hi mrsfrisby
the reason of the early scan is actually cos of my period cycle(you know as they calculate your due date from the 1st day of your last period)
now my cyles were 6 weeks cycles(not 4 like most people)so my ovulation occured 2 weeks later than everyonelse, but they didnt take this into account, so i knew that it was very likely 2 weeks less than what they thought.
does that make sense?

crumblequeen · 09/06/2010 13:39

Welcome loudlass sorry for your losses. I hope this is a stress free pregnancy. How old are your other DCs?

Mummychicken very well stated!!

Well I am feeling completely spaced out today - DS up most of the night crying and coughing poor mite (very unusual for him - I have got too used to a good nights sleep!)so I spent half the night in his bed passing juice and wiping his nose. He is now flat out asleep again and I have just woken up too. I hope everyones sickness tails off soon!

deedee321 · 09/06/2010 20:43

littlehuman, that must be really good news for you, as means they will have picked up on your new health issue earlier into your pregnancy than they thought, is that right? Glad scan went well, it makes you high as a kite for a few days!

jenniebee · 11/06/2010 14:59

Hi everyone. this is my 2nd pg,am about 9 weeks and already look pg, is this right?!is it the case that with every pg your stomach gets bigger earlier?? im very worried that the size of me im having twins triplets etc!!!! please put my mind at rest!hope everyones sickness is easing a little. feeling very bleugh today.

mrsfrisby · 11/06/2010 17:07

I think I read that Jenniebee, although mine is looking pretty porky, and it's my first. I was going to ask if anyone feels really hungry - I just went to the supermarket on my way home and it felt like my stomach was consuming itself... Got in and troughed the contents of my trolley. Perhaps why I have swollen belly??
