Morning... feels like afternoon as i've been up for hours! woke at 4am then dozed til 5.30 when i got up! the house should be gleaming but just been sitting ignoring it all!
MW app went well yesterday- she felt baby's positing and we are all head down and good to go in 9 weeks! Had bloods done for iron levels and BP ok! Appointments now moved from 6 weeks to 4 weeks.

Heading up to Fife with my friend to see our grans today. Her gran lives in next village to mine so she is doing all the driving which is great for me- esp as i'll want to snooze after my gran's roast dinner!

stac just raked out my reflexology books and there are big sections on pregnancy difficulties including insomnia and pelvic problems! I can certainly recommend it for general relaxation and wellbeing! I love it- really wish i could reach my own feet!
violet and i stayed for a cuppa after class yesterday and are def both up for the 3 of us meeting up. What is a good time for you and where would you suggest? violet suggested the cafe at the castlemilk sports centre which is near you? Either that or you could come along to aquafit at bellahouston on a friday morning? They are a lovely bunch or girls and all really friendly what you think?

violet how did you get on at physio yesterday?

chulita how did last night go? Hope he is ok and your mum does not hold any guilt either way! IME if someone is determined to harm themselves there is nothing anyone can do to stop them- doesn't make it any easier i know!

MLIC Think i said to DH21 a few days ago that there is a tablet you can get from GP for heartburn (sorry can't remember what its called)- my GP told me to go back for it if gaviscon didn't work for me! Might be a better offer for you?

Ooh DH21 thats some great bargains in tkmaxx- i love it when that happens My problem is i hate raking through everything in there, like to go in the morning before the mayhem starts and it all gets messy!

Hope everyone has a good day

Chulita · 08/05/2010 08:49

Thanks for asking everyone, my parents went to his house and there was no sign of him. No one's seen him for over a week and the last thing he said to someone was about killing himself so they're still worried but at least they didn't find him iykwim. Hopefully he'll turn up having just gone off for a bit.

We're off to spend my HiP does anyone actually spend it on Health stuff??

DesperateHousewife21 · 08/05/2010 09:08

Morning all,

Im still in bed and DP is on the pc in the same room playing an aeroplane game that he is obsessed with. I want him to get it out his system before LO arrives cos he wont have time to be playing it after hes born!

Plans for today are to go food shopping then this afternoon we have DP's nephew's first birthday party. His newphew is such a sweet, good- natured baby. He hardly ever cries and is the typical chubby cheeked baby so am looking forward to seeing him again as even though they only live about 20 mins away we dont see them often.

What is everyone else upto today?

Wonderstuff · 08/05/2010 09:34

Hi all- I am so shattered, stupidly stayed up late to watch election on Thursday and went out for dinner for a friends 40th last night - was a nice meal but took forever and we didn't get out until nearly 11pm - was midnight before I hit the sack and then I couldn't sleep - dh wa good and got up with dd when she woke at 5.45! but I was still knackered when we tagged at 8!!

I think coffee might be the only answer - I limit myself to one good mug a day, but I can't cut that out - its the only thing getting me through the mornings.

Going clothes shopping later - all my maternity tops are starting to get a bit too tight over bump - my jeans are getting tight on my bottom too, must cut back on chocolate.

Thanks for reminding me about the HiP - I need to send off for it - I had intended it to be for a car seat but feel it will probably disappear in the black hole that is our finances - just been going over the budget for next month - we seem incapable of saving any money - mat leave is going to be tight, tight, tight at this rate - no leaving the house and diet of mince and potatoes for the duration DH is doing really well at earning commission atm, but is equally fantastic at spending it all as soon as we get it.

Glad your parents didn't find their friend chulita what a worry.

Glad the MW went OK beckyg123

stac14 · 08/05/2010 09:54

Morning all, what a lovely day.

becky i'm free any day between 9 and 2. What time is aquafit? I may not join in but could meet you both for a cuppa afterwards. Glad mw appointment went well hun.

chulita i spent hip on maternity clothes and baby stuff nothing healthy in sight lol. Enjoy shopping. Hope your mums ok.

dh ds wants to go spend the rest of his b/day money and we are off to a party tonight. Hope you have a good day

wonder i watched lot of it too but my insomnias kicked in so i was hoping it would bore me to sleep lol. Enjoy your shopping

Hope everyone has a good day x

Chulita · 08/05/2010 18:36

I didn't make it to the shops in the end, got 2 miles down the road and passed out in the car. DH had to drag me out and lie me on the roadside, I woke up lying in rabbit turds I'd been feeling lightheaded but thought sitting down for a bit would clear it...hey ho, we'll try again tomorrow. Been feeling dizzy/sick all day though and have slept sooooo much, I hope tonight will give me a reset. Been feeling all day but DH has been lovely, he did say that he thought I was making a meal of it before we left but in the car I really scared him serves him right for not believing me in the first place!!
wonder send it quick, you have 30 days to post it off.
mlic what kind of thing are you looking for?
Enjoy your party stac!

viksam · 08/05/2010 20:40

Chulita OMG thats mad, how u feeling now? Are u going to get in touch with someone to get urself checked out?
Stac hope u have a great night!
becky How was ur visit?
I got my HiP weeks ago now and its just been absorbed into the bank but it has helped towards general stuff for the baby, it appeard in my bank only about 5 days after sending it, it was really quick.

Chulita · 08/05/2010 20:44

I don't think I'll bother seeing anyone, you can get blood pressure dips in pregnancy apparently so maybe it was one of those. LO has been kicking away merrily all day so no worries on that front. I'm not really a 'doctor' person - don't like wasting their time so I think I'll just see how it goes and maybe mention it to the mw next time I see her. Was horrible though...
They are quick on the HiP aren't they!? I was well impressed!

beckyg123 · 08/05/2010 22:04

AHG! knew i was supposed to ask midwife for something yesterday! That would be the HiP form! ooops! was just so glad everything was ok with baby i forgot all my other questions- will write them down next time!

Back from my the granny run- was a lovely day! My friend's granny is a good bit older than mine so we took lunch into her and stayed a while then went to mine, walked the dogs then had roast dinner- was delicious! mmm! even managed my 5 a day too (well if we count the raspberries in the trifle?)

chulita hope your ok now! what a fright you must have given your DH... take things easy tomorrow!

wonder my clothes are getting the same- i thought they would last all the way through! i remember laughing at a couple of the tops i got in jan sales thinking- i'll never fit into this! lol! Got some linen trousers in next the other day- think they will have to do me as really can't afford anything else for bottom half! although my over bump jeans from next have started to rip on bump band- might take them back and get money back to buy something else!

stac that sounds like a plan! it starts at 10.30 til 11.30 then relaxation til 12.15- could meet you in cafe after that if you don't want to join in? Although it is a good class!

I'm off to bed now- hope my dreams are nicer than last nights! anyone else still having crazy dreams?

kkfairybrains · 08/05/2010 23:33

hope your having a great night stac! chulita i was going through a stage of faint spells but never actually passed out but it was said to me and cant remember by who, that if you actually pass out to get yourself checked.
well had a sad day here.woke up to the news that a lad from where im from died in a car accident last night. so so sad.only 26. and then this eve dp was playing a football match and brokr his knee so he's in a massive cast for the next 4-6weeks so he's very depressed.he's at home alone tonight and he's real upset and i feel so sad for him! cos im at my mums and cant go back til tomorrow eve. my heart is breaking for him even thinking of him trying to get up the stairs to go to bed!

rubbish weather here too - what happened to summer? Anyone else getting achy joints, my knees and hips and lower back are sore today - I feel like an old woman. Yesterdays shopping trip was fairly successful, got a nice jumper in H&M and a nice top in Zara, not a mat one and I'll out grow it pretty soon, but nice and floaty and will be good for after the baby, also got some big t-shirts and vest tops in Primark, bit of an indulgence spending so much but made me feel better. Poor dh spent the day with his parents and dd - said it was like having 3 toddlers to look after - they are both quite poorly and neither have a particularly +ve attitude, nor do they think we are busy at all, a trip to the garden centre ended up taking 5 hours! Bless him he is really worried about them, no fun when your parents start needing support.

Your poor dp kk hope he makes a speedy recovery.

Sounds scary chulita I don't think that your mw or doc would feel you were wasting time if you went to see them - I hate going to see people too, but atm is better to be safe than sorry.

Chulita · 09/05/2010 09:34

mlic we have a lovely dark purple bedset we got from here. They don't have it any more, and we got it in the sales We got a red one for our wedding as well which is soooo soft, well worth the money imo!

kkfairy sorry about your DH, I hope you can get back soon and give him some loving, poor man!

I'm still feeling all lightheaded and crap today so won't be going shopping I might phone the mw if I still feel this rubbish tomorrow...it's not normal.

KK Thats rubbish about DP not only for him but for u too, you could do without having to look after him if ur feeling tired, dont mean to be nasty, i know its not his fault, just make sure u look after urself too!

Chulita I do think you need to make at least a phone call, it doesnt sound quite right but its probably something quite common so dont worry.

Becky I just phoned the docs re my HiP form and the MW filled it in and left it at the reception, dont know about u but its a hard job getting through to the MW, much easier doing it through the surgery.

I got a really nice floaty top from the sale in Top shop, not maternity but big enough to accomodate a big bump, just dont think I'll have anywhere to wear it too, nothing nice planned now at all!!

stac what was the party like??

We were supposed to go out for sunday lunch today with some friends but they just phoned to say their lo has chicken pox so now left at a loose end, which i dont mind coz there are sooooo many jobs to do round the house. The builders are coming back next week to finish the conservatory and make the window into a door, im dreading it because i know there will be brick dust everywhere, but it will be great when its done, cant wait!!
Hope everyone has a good day xx

Jojobil · 09/05/2010 19:21

kk that's terrible! I hope he feels better soon. broken bones are a nightmare. My DH broke both arms in December and he still goes to physio....

stac14 · 09/05/2010 20:25

Hi ladies, sorry haven't been on. Party was great last night, it was our friends dads 80th but there was loads of our friends there. I actually felt that i looked nice, had a dress i got from h&m on it was a bargain at £10. Then today we were at a 1st bday party/bbq. Fed and watered but totally knackered lol. How are you ladies coping with the under rib pain? Lo prefers the right side so its there constantly very sore.

becky for your hip from the royal you phone them up and they offer a drop in on a thursday afternoon. They say they need to see you, even if you've just had an app. I was in and out. My gp wouldnt do it for me as it takes time. Friday sounds good, may not do class though. Let me know the arrangements

chulita defo see doc just to be on the safe side, how you feeling now?

kk sorry bout dp and your friend, what a horrible thing to happen to them. How are you?

mlic how did you get on with the bed set?

wonder know how you feel regarding back ache, what you doing for it?

Hows everyone else? X

thanks everyone for the good wishes! got back up to him today and still heartbroken for him!hormones! he just cant do anything even finds it hard to go to loo! bringing him to the fractures clinic tomorrow morning about an hour away so we'l have a better idea of things then. as it is i've 7 and half weeks left and its 6 weeks normally for a cast so hope i dont go early! thats upsetting him too that he wont be fully mobile for the baby being here! hows your dh now jojo?that sounds awful.
glad you enjoyed party stac!makes all the difference when you feel nice too!
chulita def give them a ring it won't do any harm just to inform them of it.
having a lazy night tonight i went and got us dvd's and crisps!

Chulita · 09/05/2010 21:05

Glad you had fun stac!

I've been asleep most of the day, have picked up a bit now that it's bedtime I've got an appt to see GP on Tuesday anyway to get my MatB1 form so will mention it then. I'm just hoping I wake up tomorrow able to do something cos otherwise DD'll run riot!

kkfairy I hope the pain eases and your DP starts to feel more positive.

I just heard from a good friend that her 20 week scan didn't go well. They've told her that the baby's brain/skull isn't fully formed so it won't survive being born She miscarried in October so this is a double blow. I'm just praying for a miracle for this little baby!

Needle · 09/05/2010 21:05

Hi all.

Yeshk. It really sounds like May is putting everyone through the ringer- hope everyone's lot starts improving soon. I seem to be getting my all morning sickness in month 7, which is not nice.

How are everyone's baby preps going? DH and I finally ordered a pram, so at last feel like we're actually having a baby

viksam · 09/05/2010 21:26

Oh God chulita thats awfull about ur friend, how devestating. What do u say to her????Thats so so difficult for u. What does she have to do now, is there a chance it will right its self?

Needle its nice when you feel like you have done something active for the baby coming, it does make it feel more real doesnt it.

Stac Lovely that you felt nice, i wish i had somewhere to go nice.

kk its is horrid for ur DP, I hate it when theres something wrong with them, lets hope the news is better from the clinic tomorrow.

Anyone else feeling very low kicks, makes me feel like i need a wee when i dont, very weird!

Monday tomorrow, seriously dont want to go to work again, i think the next 6 weeks are going to be a real struggle

Needle · 09/05/2010 21:29

Low kicks, high kicks, but mostly massive wiggling-around-make-my-belly-move-like-a-scene-from-alien-when-i'm-trying-to-talk-to-one-of-DH's-ch ildless-friends kicks.
I'm just looking foward to having my stomach back- it was small to start with, now anything bigger than a cereal bar makes me feel ill.

Chulita · 09/05/2010 21:43

She's getting a second opinion tomorrow, but basically we're all just praying for a miracle and that somehow the skull and brain will grow even though there's supposedly no chance it will. It's just so horrible that some people have such bad luck

I have low kicks and side 'rubs', the kicks make me need to wee and the 'rubs' hurt! Still got ages to go too so they're only going to get stronger!

Chin up viks, only 6 weeks left!
