Hey peeps
Hope you all had lovely Sundays. I know I'm miles behind on this one, but the thing with washing baby clothes etc, is that vast amounts of chemicals tend to be used in the production process, so it's always good to give them a wash, as there will always be residue which can cause irritation to sensitive skin.
I had a hectic but lovely weekend, lunching with friends, cinema and then visiting parents and both sets of in-laws for double bbq action.
we've actually come back with nearly all our baby stuff spoken for (even if we don't have any of it yet) I was given a huge back of re-usable nappies by a friend of my mum's, FIL and his wife are giving us their old cot (they're sorting out a new mattress of us) and a changing unit and whatever else they still have kicking around. Mum dug up some old clothes of mine from when i was born - she said 'they're yours, you might as well take them' and whilst most are 70s nightmares, there's a couple of cute crocheted things she made me which are adorable. And MIL has said she wants to get us something too, so we just need to write a list and figure out what's left to get.
So whilst nothing is actually ready it's all in hand, and actually it was quite nice spending a weekend just talking baby stuff and being told how amazing I looked blah, blah (even though I know people where just being polite.)
AND I had my first pregnancy symptom! When I finally took my 3 inch heeled boots off on Sunday evening, after a day of running around, MY ANKLES WERE A BIT PUFFY!! I was weirdly excited that I finally had something to actually moan about, even if it was gone half an hour later. I was feeling a bit left out as it seems pregnancy isn't really pregnancy if you don't have any symptoms to complain about - at least now I have one war story to share..
Had loads of scripts to read this morning, so I took them outside and sat in a deckchair reading them - I was a bit worried that I wouldn't be able to get out of it again. Meetings all afternoon, so better crack on and finish these notes.
