I haven't been on the thread for months so hope everyone is getting along OK (apart from the usual complaints at this point!).

Since this thread started, we've bought and completely renovated a house, moved in, DH has a new job, DS has a new nursery, it's been manic!

I've got scary low blood pressure so faint regularly and feel dizzy the rest of the time, and there's a nice helping of SPD on top of it. 8 weeks to go...

Jojobil · 20/05/2010 17:48

Is anyone else finding it difficult to cope with the heat today? I feel like in a sauna....

DesperateHousewife21 · 20/05/2010 20:11

jojo omg dont get me started on the heat! It was cloudy when I left my flat and was wearing black trousers and a black strap top. When I got to my mums and sat in the garden the sun came out and I was roasting!

Ive been getting intense BH tonight, they seem to have calmed down a bit now but they weren't very nice
Mw doesnt even know about these I forget to tell her everytime I go, Ive got an app in just under 2 weeks so will tell her then.

Chulita · 20/05/2010 21:00

Hello Norky, hope the SPD doesn't stop you doing to much, sorry 'bout the low bp, that must be a nightmare!

I can't believe I've got so much longer to go - I'm going to have a quick whinge... for about 10 weeks now I've been having shooting pains down my left bumcheek like a trapped nerve, my fanjo (as I've mentioned before) has been swollen and sore for about 15 weeks, I've got a mild dose of SPD, I've had thrush that I just can't seem to shift and to top it all today a massive pile popped out and it's so sore...I didn't realize how much they hurt Apart from everything down there giving me gyp and the dizzy/sick spells I'm fine If these piles don't stop hurting I don't know what I'll do for the next 10 weeks. Just had a big crying session and I'm feeling really sorry for myself; sorry for going on about me, I just feel miserable at the mo.

DesperateHousewife21 · 20/05/2010 21:07

chulita really sorry your feeling so miserable Ive had that shooting pain down my bumcheek too, I got it in the first 12 weeks and was really painful.
Hope you feel better soon, we are all here for you and dont feel bad about getting your winges out on here, thats what its for!

Chulita · 20/05/2010 21:10

Thanks dh, I think sometimes it all just gets too much for our poor hormonal minds...I'm just tired of pain and I know it's going to get worse before it gets better. Shouldn't really whinge though cos some people have it far worse...gotta get some perspective!
I think I'll pootle off to bed and see if I feel better in the morning. Night all!

stac14 · 20/05/2010 21:42

hey norky aw hun seems like your having a hard time, i have spd too think i may be getting gave crutches next week from the physio

jojo and dh the weather is so unpredictable i was roasting today too. Is anyone waking up soaking in sweat during the night?

Aww chulita hun, get anusol for the piles hun, the swelling in your fanjo could be a varicous vein have you spoke to the doc bout it. The spd is a nightmare. What did the doc say bout the dizzy and sickness? You poor luv, all these pregnancy problems are a nightmare. Defo get the pile seen too, you may need lactulose to stop straining in the loo. Hope you feel better tomorrow hun x

Chulita it sounds really shitty what ur having to put up with. What have u done so far about the thrush? I only ask because i used to get it all the time and didnt address it properly really. Im really not suprised ur feeling miserable, i hope things improve for u soon.
stac Glad ur getting ur jobs done, hope that decorating gets finished soon.
DH I havent had any BH yet, what do they feel like? It has been muggy today, i hope its not like this in July!!

stac14 · 20/05/2010 22:24

viksam i hope so too. Dp did ds's room tonight, still a bit to get done. I'm just hoping dp can get the bil to get a riggle on lol how was your quiet day? How much housework have you done? X

OP posts:
memphis83 · 21/05/2010 05:45

chulita poor you, you seem to have so much going on all at once! i agree with stac on the lactulose so you dont have to strain, you dont want that getting worse!
stac i dont mind the heat but its so muggy that its intoxicating! luckily my house stays cool, but ive always been a winter quilt all year round kind of girl and i think i will have to get a thinner one at the weekend.
tried my new dress on for the wedding in a few weeks ive got short legs so i think im going to have it taken up, its very low cut as well which gives a very impressinve cleavage but dh couldnt stop talking to my boobs so i think i need to put a panel in to raise neckline a bit, im hoping fake tan will disguise the horrid veins on my chest they make me want to vomit!!
cant believe ive already been up for over an hour even more hours to kill in the day!!! hope you all have a good day

Jojobil · 21/05/2010 06:37

Chulita you poor hon! You are nearly there.

I woke up at 3am memphis and was wide awake. But managed to get back to sleep at some point. At least it's Friday! x

DesperateHousewife21 · 21/05/2010 09:09

Morning ladies,

Just seen the weather forecast, if you think its been bad just wait til Sunday, top temp of 28 degrees! I love sunshine and couldnt be happier that its sunny and warm but thats just TOO hot!

viksam the lower half of my bump, under my belly button goes rock solid, I can feel the muscles on either side. It seemed to be worse on the left side, I dont know if thats because of how LO was lying. It doesnt hurt at all and lasts between 30 secs and a minute at a time but its quite uncomfy and worth mentioning to mw if you do get them.

Jojobil · 21/05/2010 09:30

My fan is on and I am having elderflower sorbet. I thought I will faint on the way to school this morning! Too hot I consider myself lucky that I only have to go until end of June.

kapars · 21/05/2010 10:03

Morning ladies - wow another hot one. I am lucky my house stays cool but might have to sit and work in the garden later.

chulita Know exactly how you feel - I feel like I have had one thing wrong with me after another during this pregnancy. One friend even said to me - gosh you're an anti-pregnancy advertisement. I've had a few cries this week just fed up of being in pain. But obviously the hormones makes it worse.
My overriding thought has been - if I feel this knackered and in pain now and it's gonna get worse for 7 weeks how on earth do you muster the energy to then go through labour?? It's not as if we're at the height of physical training when our waters break.

On the up side - as I told my friend, it is all worth it and I do still feel very joyful, contented and blessed most of the time and v excited...as 33 weeks today. In fact - despite the times of pain etc and hormonal crying, I have never been happier as I am now.

viksam The short John Lewis saga - I ordered a pram 6 weeks ago and they said it would be here 3 to 4 weeks. But there's a nationwide shortage of iCandy Peach as a delay in shipment but instead of calling me to tell me they just cancelled my order after 4 weeks. Anyway blah blah been reinstated etc..but not expected now til end of the month and no guarantees.
My local stockists don't have any either.
But if it doesn't come a few weeks before the birth we'll just get something else.

memphis83 · 21/05/2010 10:31

kapers ive just rang the shop that i got my icandy from as my mum keeps nagging i need the parasol so i wanted to put on to one side as were having the mandarin orange flavour pack they dont tend to have them in stock all the time, although they dont have the icandy on their website they take phone orders and free delivery, they also do price match (but mine was 150 cheaper that johnlewis with carseat) they usually have them in stock all the time, if you give up on john lewis the shop is baby planet in leicester

kapars · 21/05/2010 10:48

Thanks for the info memphis I didn't think anyone did phone orders for the Icandy so I will definitely try them.

kkfairybrains · 21/05/2010 10:50

aw chulita you poor love. its not easy at all and you'd love to give your body to dp for a day just to let them know how bloody hard it is. im with you on the thrush.i've had it since i got preg and one day i think its gone and come that night im tearing myself apart with the itch.its awful. i tried the pessary once and found it did relieve it but only for a few days so maybe give that a try if you haven't already. but just use your finger to insert it not the applicator. try and eat loads of fibre and nuts and drink plenty of water for the piles.just so you dont get constipated cos thats when they get really sore.would the shooting pain be sciatica? i think we all have days when we just cry over how crap we feel so dont feel bad.
lol about the dress memphis! if you've got them flaunt them! maybe you'd feel a bit more comfy with the panel though!
these braxton hicks are really getting me down. im getting them constantly and was getting them around every 3 or 4 minutes last night.found it hard to get to sleep with them and then as soon as i wake up they start again before im even out of the bed and they go all day then. really cant see how im gonna do another 6 weeks of it. on the up side im 34 weeks today! yay! although they said at the hospital last week that my date has changed to the 4th july which would make me 34 weeks on sunday but im just used to saying the 2nd now so im sticking with that! gorgeous day here and ive been blow drying all morning so im half dead already! going into town now to but myself some nice light linen trousers and relax in the sun all day!
hows everyone else doing today?

kapars · 21/05/2010 10:51

Oooh I just called Babyplanet and they are at the Babyshow and she is calling me back as soon as she finds out with what they have in stock and the colours etc...sounded very promising!

memphis83 · 21/05/2010 11:52

kapers thats brilliant!! they are lovely in there and always call when i order stuff as soon as they come in ive got my fingers crossed for you!
kk i think im a little too booby without the panel in the dress they are about the size of dh's head when ive got i nice bra on!!!
dh have you got pregnancy and birth magazine yet? i managed to get mine at sainsburys!

my soles of my feet and palms of my hands itch all night everynight it drives me mad, in my mag i read this morning that it can be a sign something isnt right, has anyone heard this b4? i havent and i dont really fancy going doctors and saying my feet itch, it sounds a bit pathetic!!!

kapars · 21/05/2010 12:24

memphis Booo - they didn't have any left in stock!
But I have found somewhere else that has them in Sweet Pea available now. We had decided on the Black Jack - I do quite like the sweet pea though not 100% sure. What do you think of the Sweet Pea colour?

What does your book say itchy feet means?? Have you tried bio oil? It's good for stopping itches. I don't use it on my feet though as so expensive. I use aqueous cream from boots on my feet as so dry.

memphis83 · 21/05/2010 12:36

kapers thats a shame, weve gone for the apple, i am so clumsy i thought i would be a bad 'driver' and scratch the chrome, i love the sweet pea colour that blue is my fave colour but i love the black jack one 2, i think the sweet pea could mark easily though maybe?
it says if its soles of feet and palms then it could be something to do with the liver, but my blood disorder effects my liver so they keep a close eye on that, they arent dry, i have a bit of OCD with my feet, i have to moisturise them 3 times a day its really odd ive gone buying a scratchy hairbrush to scratch them with!!

Gracie123 · 21/05/2010 13:50

Hi girls!

Yes it is flipping hot. I have low BP too, and feel like fainting after a brief walk to the park with DS.

Just been told by Dr I have thrush too but she has given me a pessary and cream. Bit scared about the pessary - it appears to have an applicator with it, but the pharmacist told me you can't use that if you are pregnant because you might damage the cervix

I'm a bit squeamish about all this stuff (have never successfully used a tampon without a plastic applicator!!) and very nervous about using it. Anyone done one before? Is it worth it?

Gracie123 · 21/05/2010 13:52

p.s. sent off sure start forms today - hope to be £500 richer by next week

viksam · 21/05/2010 16:05

Kapars I cant believe JL cancelled ur order, Id much rather go through an inbependant if I can, i like JL but they dont need our support. I have the sweet pea icandy peach. I love it, its really robust and easy to handle. I was a bit worried that i wouldnt find things to go with it but actually its easy. It is very bright and a bit flash so if ur not into that the black was really nice. I hasten to say im not at all flash but my DH has quite exotic taste for such a quiet guy!! and i was glad that he showed some interest so i went for it.

Gracie Use the pessary, dont use the applicator, honestly its worth it and in combination with the cream it should really sort you out. Have a look on the net too im sure there are things that you can eat/drink to help. Try and air urself when u can too, loose clothes and no underwear will help, When ur round the house, please dont think i go prancing around at work like that!! Thrush is a most horrid thing, i feel bad for u guys who have it. £500 sounds ace and just at the right time too, hope it comes through quick.

Stac how u feeling today?

DH BH sound scary, Whats the thing about the magazine, is there something good in it?

I came home from work at 11 today, i just wasnt really feeling right. If the truth be known i could have carried on and saw the day out but i really dont feel like i want to push myself, i have done quite enough of that.
Hope everyone is getting on ok in the heat.
xx

stac14 · 21/05/2010 17:09

hey ladies, how warm is it? Lovely to see nice weather but completely knackering. Dp and i went to get lo's last essential bits and my hospital bag. I got big knickers and all lol. Just have to go to ikea and get her drawers then i can safely say lo is sorted.

Glad you got the pram kapars thats shoddy customer services from JL.

memphis dress sounds gorgeous, what bout a vest top underneath? The itchy hands and feet should be checked, i know how you feel bout going back to the docs hun but the liver thing isnt good x

kk how did you get on with the linen trousers? I love mine so comfy

I need to go get a large fan cos i am totally roasting lol hows everyone else today? X
