Glad you had a nice time with your group. Sorry that you didn't have a baby to show off...

Should be soon though!

Will try to email later. I have 3 drafts sitting waiting but they all sound grumpy!

Cadmum · 08/09/2005 17:19

Meant to add that I am hoping you like the tots-bots because they are also sold here and I have friends who love them. The wraps that seemed to be favourites were bambino mio, I think...

Eulalia · 09/09/2005 08:02

Congratulations jantogan!

Another cloth nappy user here! However not started ds2 on them yet. Waiting till he is a bit bigger as the one's I have are from 9lbs. I think he is about 10lbs. I think I'll wait till after our holiday to get started. This will be the 3rd baby and everything is still in good condition

Have a good weekend Twiga - your last baby-free one!

Twiga · 09/09/2005 17:31

Hey all!
Well I had my mw appt at 4pm and had the sweep done - needn't have worried so much about it, it was just a wee bit uncomfy rather than sore and she really put me at ease before hand so it was fine. Apparently my cervix is still far back - she tried moving it fwd but couldn't bring it round the whole way, looks like despite all the contractions things haven't been moving much at all. From what she said mw is not convinced that anything will happen before Monday's induction, so looks like I need to hang on in there for another 3 days, unless by some small chance the sweep has made any difference.

On a brighter note a new friend of mine that I met through ante-natal classes had her baby early this morning - a wee boy, both doing really well - he wasn't due until around 21st! Funny to think that with all the joking yesterday about the 2 of us that are booked in for after the weekend no one thought for a min that anyone elses babies might put in an appearance!

Twiga · 09/09/2005 17:33

Also meant to say hi to Eulalia and Cadmum - Cadmum don't worry about sounding grumpy, it's always nice to hear from you! Eulalia, thanks for the email will reply soon honest!

Eulalia · 10/09/2005 16:41

That's OK Twiga, you'll no doubt be busy with your guests as they must be here by now to see the baby (not!) At least you know that baby is only a few days away. I know just how you feel though as when I was induced with dd it seemed a bit of an anticlimax travelling into hospital, however that all changed as soon as I saw her - she was definately worth waiting for

All the best for Monday

tassis · 11/09/2005 19:38

Hey twiga, this has become a thread just for you!

I'm posting from holiday because texting was costing silly money (sorry for not replying!). We're here until Wednesday and then up to Aberdeen on Thursday and if you're still in the matty I'll be straight there to see you! If not, I'll give you advance warning!

I hope things are OK with you and you're not too tired and fed up and uncomfy. Hope you're being spoiled by your family. Tell dh we'll be praying for the exam on Monday.

We're off to a hotel tomorrow for 2 nights away from ds. I'm sure he'll have a blast with grandparents!

Text me when you have news.

Lots of love.xxxxx

Twiga · 12/09/2005 10:05

Hi all,
so this is it, heading off to the Matty in around half an hour. Really not sure about how I feel, funny mixture of excitment , relief and nerves. Dh got away fine this morning down to Edinburgh and is now half hour into his exam - finishes at 12.30. Looking fwd to him getting back up here around 3.30-4pm, really feel for him having to be away through the morning and having to sit an exam - quite a big day all round! Mum and Dad are going up to the hospital with me so I've got company until Dh gets back at least. Couple of good pals came over for breakfast this morning - been a shame for them as they head back to England tonight and will miss seeing the baby - oh well good excuse for another visit! Well I'm gonna sign off and hopefyully the next time I log in I'll me a mummy!!! Lol, x

Tassis will have my phone switched off but you'll hear from Steve once there's news.

Eulalia and Cadmum you're both on our emailing list so should hear quite quickly too - Eulalia I'll get dh to add which ward I'm on so if you fancy nipping in...

ja9 · 12/09/2005 18:28

Miaou · 14/09/2005 08:44

I was wondering too... hope she's doing ok!

Cadmum · 14/09/2005 13:40

Hello Twiga! Looking very forward to the email. Praying that all went well for you, baby and DH on Monday & Tuesday. I am feeling horrible for having shared my induction story with you because I was so sure that you woudn?t have to go that route...

ja9 · 14/09/2005 16:52

heard last night (through mutual friend) that twigas dh had txted to say all is fine, but still no baby.

Cadmum · 14/09/2005 17:13

Oh dear... Poor Twiga!

Eulalia · 14/09/2005 18:26

Oh dear - hopefully she's maybe managed by now, I thought the induction would be easy as she is so late. Maybe she is going to beat my record of being 15 days late.

Come on Twiga!

colinandcaitlinsmommy · 14/09/2005 19:02
