book yourself something lovely to look forward to in a few days time. do you know about the pregnancy massage treatment at ishoka (expensive but AMAZING). baby's bound to make an appearance before that!

Twiga · 31/08/2005 14:24

I didn't know about it - where? Might be a good post-baby treat! You still coming up at the weekend?

tassis · 31/08/2005 14:28

not great as a post baby treat as it's a pregnancy package - kind of like a facial for the bump. pays lots of attention to bump and legs and is amazing. I was given it as a present at my baby shower and LOVED it.

It's done at ishoka on albyn place

still haven't decided re weekend. if i do it'll be just me and ds and will be a flying visit. back on 14th sept for a few days (all of us).

Can't wait to meet your LO. Ds will be most confused coz he things your baby's called "bumpy"

Eulalia · 31/08/2005 14:29

Sending positive labour vibes to those who are left...

Twiga · 31/08/2005 14:33

Realised that but figured might be good to go for facial or something after - figured could go while family up visiting! The time this baby seems to be taking 14th sounds like good timing, will be nice to see you all again.

Twiga · 31/08/2005 14:37

Right off for a nap, pretty tired today!

colinsmommy · 31/08/2005 16:19

Sorry you're getting so fed up of being pregnant. At least you can still take a nap!!!! (trying to find a postitive for you, and after being up most of the night with Caitlin, that sounds like a big one)

Cadmum · 31/08/2005 17:30

Twiga: Sorry that you are feeling fed up... Can't imagine that you would be enjoying an hour of false labour every so often. I hope that when things do kick off that you have a really quick labour and delivery. Only days to go now no matter what. Hang in there.

A nap sounds lovely. I may try to get my head down too.

Rhianna Ella 7lb14oz was born 30th August 01.25am things went very quickly had a few niggles about 8pm phoned the hospital about 10.30 as had a run of what i was still thinking where quite back BH thankfully my Mum told me to move it by the time i got into the car 10 mins later they were coming every 2 mins DH made it to the hospital with 40mins to spare - that was my biggest worry.
Anyway I survived my delivery with no cut tear stitches after a 3rd degree with DS when they told me it was enough to make me want to do a cartwheel off the bed (well almost)

Congrats Em32

Twiga sorry you are feeling so awful, hope things happen quickly for you, wishing you all the best for when they do

Congratulations Josey - lovely names for your dd and sounds like the labour was pretty straight fwd in the end, glad you avoided tearing.

Twiga · 02/09/2005 13:01

Thanks for all the good wishes! still hanging on in there - see the mw at 3pm today and think I'll go for the sweep. Bit nervous but am not sleeping great as not comfy and also excited/impatient figure it can't do any harm. DH is away down to Edinburgh for the afternoon - surgical board meeting - we swithered as to whether he should go but it's a two and half hour journey back by train worse case (quicker than driving). He headed off an hour ago - would have stayed if it looked like anything happening - and should be home by 8.45pm. Just chilling out until my appt, watching some dvds and working on a jumper I'm knitting for the wee one. Probably grab a nap once I've seen the mw. Hope everyone is keeping well, lol x

ja9 · 02/09/2005 14:35

just checking in on you twiga.....

i've been hosting pregnant people coffee time(!) and one of the girls had a sweep last friday (despite not being full 40 wks)& she had baby on monday.
i've a pal down here who was due wednesday week ago & still hasn't had. her induction is booked for tomorrow... she's really fed up as her hubbie had to book paternity leave in advance and he's been on it since last friday with only 3 days left . shame!

anyway, looking forward to hearing your news very soon! take care!

Twiga,

Wishing you all the best, Hope your little one arrives ASAP.. It wont be long now, to think we were only ttc not so long ago and now your little one is coming anyday and i am nearly 6 months. (getting all emotional now)
Well if you go this wkend all the best to you, will be thinking of you.

Twiga · 02/09/2005 15:35

Hi, just back from mw appt - didn't do sweep - had impressive contraction whilst she was meauring bump, seems to think things not far off happening so wanted to leave the sweep - contraction not paticularly sore so still just BH. See mw again on 9th if not had by then when she will def do sweep. Induction booked for 11am on the 11th as hospital too busy on the 10th. Think if it gets that far I'll be asking them to hold off another day at least as dh has surgical exam in Edinburgh the morning of the 12th and it seems a bit too close for comfort in terms of him poss missing things - can't really get out of exam.
