Hi all. Thought I would get the new thread started before the old one got too full! Thanks to nomoremagnolia for the title

i'm so at all you not putting on any weight. i've put on 2 stone, but then i was slightly underweight to begin with.

stuffedmk thinking of you today, hope everything goes well for you.

clueless glad to hear it was all ok, how are you feeling today?

hmmSleep · 04/05/2010 08:09

Great to hear about more good scan news! .

Wouldn't worry about the weight thing CardiCorgi, I'm over 14 weeks now (am amazed at all of you knowing exact number of days, must try and work that out!) and have lost half a stone! Think it all depends on how ill you've been feeling. I lost weight in first trimester in all my pregnancies, but soon piled it on plus extra after that!

Hope you all enjoyed the bank holiday.

Booboobedoo · 04/05/2010 08:35

addicted - I've put on a stone, and I was not underweight. Not overweight either, but quite comfortable. However, it happened last time too, so I'm just trying not to think about it.

I love Bank Holidays. Still sick at 14+1, but great having DH at home and chilling out together.

Did anyone do anything lovely?

Starting to think about the change from one to two children, and have decided to buy 'Siblings Without Rivalry'. Has anyone else read this? Any reviews?

I think I'll start a thread on having a second child nearer to the time, so I'll post a link for anyone interested (and for all you multi-mums to post advice ).

Have a nice day. (Hope all is well with stuffedmk and clueless).

Feeling better today, but stupidly googled fetal measurements, baby measured 54.3mm at 12 weeks and I now have it in mind that is should be bigger, what did everyone else measure at 12 weeks, I know I am opening an obsessive can of worms but the bed rest is giving me too much time on my hands

Kyuri · 04/05/2010 09:12

Hi clueless glad to hear that you had an encouraging scan over the weekend. My bean was 57 mm at 12+2 which was pretty bang on for dates so try not to worry - easier said than done I know. Also found this Wikipedia article here which has 55 mm for 12+1.

Will you be able to get a follow-up scan this week at all to reassure you?

cluelessnchaos · 04/05/2010 09:13

panic over I found another website that says size is bang on, phew.

Librashavinganotherbiscuit · 04/05/2010 09:28

Clueless, my scan was bang on 12 weeks and my LO measured 53.4mm, STOP WORRYING. and remember google isn't always right.

Loopy - have you looked at the Baby Jogger City select - due out June and looks fantastic.

cluelessnchaos · 04/05/2010 10:04

I am still booked in for my dating scan on monday 10th may, the mw said to keep that appointment for reassurance, particullarly as i was still bleeding, she said I might have a fight with the staff on the day when they hear I have had a scan already but I am ready for it. I feel better, I should have been 12 plus one on the day I was scanned but I can accept a day earlier. Thanks for all your quick replies. Another can of worms I was mulling over, why do we keep the whole pregnancy thing a secret, I find it really hard because I am completely an open book. Fair enough work implications but work were the first people I told.

SomethingSuitablyWitty · 04/05/2010 10:27

Hey clueless - what a scary weekend it must have been. So glad to hear things are looking encouraging and I will certainly be thinking of you next Monday!! Hope you are feeling better now and that the bleeding has eased off again.

applegirl · 04/05/2010 10:52

clueless glad the scan went ok Bet you are looking forward to seeing the little bean again on the 10th! x

umf · 04/05/2010 12:10

Back after bank holiday away from computer (only lolling sickily on sofa, nowhere exciting). Very sorry to hear some bad news.

clueless glad scan good. All best for getting through this week.

stuffedmk hope you're ok.

Thanks for some more drinks tips! Most of my liquid intake atm seems to be Gaviscon.

On the plus side, DH is being an Absolute Lamb. He really really wants 3 DCs, it turns out, so is doing his utmost to be perfect support during this pg2, in order that I'll contemplate doing it again.

Threelittleducks glad to hear your hospital has improved. I'm also enjoying much better antenatal care this time, tho because moved city. Makes so much difference to how you feel.

Agree strongly about thinking v carefully about buggy type. I like having big wheels, ideally 3 rather than 4, because pavements not very good here and I like long and sometimes rural walks. Little wheels hopeless on uneven surfaces.

youremindmeofthebabe · 04/05/2010 12:16

umf, be a little careful with the Gaviscon, as there is a lot of salt in it.

(my mum is a midwife and advised me against excessive consumption in my first pregnancy- don't want to worry you though- am sure it just applies to excessive amounts)

umf · 04/05/2010 12:23

Yes, I was wondering about that. I'm well within guideline amounts, just being facetious, but still have been a bit concerned about the saltiness especially given that I'm having trouble drinking fluids. Usually avoid salt, don't eat chips or crisps or anything, so probably ok spread over lifetime consumption, though.

I am lurking big time on this thread - its far too big for me to keep up with!

Just wanted to let clueless know that at 12 weeks 1 day my baby only measured 50cm exactly. The sonographer said it was small but fine and fitted within the dates I had given.

Hopefully that will reassure you

Congratulations to all who had their good scans already.
I still have 9 days to go. Apparently even booking 5 weeks in advance getting an early appointment is a near impossibility. Plus didn't want to, couldn't go alone and DH is abroad in early part of the week.
I just want to see it's still there and doing well. Apart from nausea and bloating and terrible, earth-shattering burps I have no symptoms. No weight gain, no veins showing, no larger nipples.
And I've even lost the pregnancy symptom on being on the Mumsnet Nov mummies thread list . Loopsymummy can I be put back, please?

I'm 31 and EDD is 24 Nov now

Thank you

Thanks for all the finger crossing ladies...unfortunately spotting turned to heavy bleeding and after a very long weekend including a trip to hospital I have definately miscarried

Wish you all the best of luck and will be thinking of you come November.

Can someone take me off the list please.

harmonyb23 · 04/05/2010 15:08

Only 8 days till my scan now, really can't wait. 11+3 today. Not feeling too sick today which is a blessing as I spent the bank holiday weekend with my head down the loo... :-( Not nice. Have also been having really bad migraines lately, anyone else suffer from these? I couldn't see the whole of Saturday morning so was bed-ridden until my sight came back properly, but even then I had a massive headache that didn't clear all day...

harmonyb23 · 04/05/2010 15:09

Oh stuffed I am sorry, my message crossed with yours. That's awful news, I hope you have plenty of support at home... and good luck for the future. x x x

cluelessnchaos · 04/05/2010 15:11

Sorry stuffedmk, thinking of you.

Lorelai · 04/05/2010 15:26
