Here we go, pull up a deck chair, catch some rays and help yourselves to a mini eggs ice cream.

Who wants a laugh? TMI Alert, though.

Had terrible itchiness yesterday (have been a bit suspect down there for a few days). Scratched a bit, as you do .

Went to bed, noticed orange/red spotting. Panic stations. DH had a look. With a torch . Well, I had only gone and grazed my fanjo and it was bleeding.

Went to docs this morning, got canesten and off to buy some yoghurt. She gave a quick scan just to be safe and there was DC4 having a great time. Oh, and still too early to be sure but doc couldn't see anything that would indicate a boy so she thinks prob girl too. We'll see. Got my boys name sorted now anyway so am just happy to see healthy little bean waving at me.

Loving the icandy cherry. Like the fudge colours.

Nymphadora · 03/05/2010 09:07

hipatsy I'm another one with a big bump @ 16 weeksbut am on my third & dd2 wrecked my stomach muscles so to be expected really!

hermya congrats on the skirt!

I'm still totally confused on prams . I asked on the pram section but all I got out of it was I need air tyres & most prams don't fold that small for my car. Last time I had a 106 & no problem fitting a pram in so have prams grown massively?

Hermya321 · 03/05/2010 09:12

Nymph What kind of car have you got? Thanks on the congrats, I saw the skirt in Mamas and Papas and loved it and I managed to get it far cheaper. I love getting a bargin.

Yaris though planning on replacing it with a new Fiesta. ( when my house sells!)
it's not exactly small, boot is quite big actually. Had 3 large suitcases & a 7 year olds bike in the other week!
Need a small car for work as otherwise it costs a fortune in petrol &is a pita to park. Dh has a big car but don't like using it for day to day stuff as it's expensive to run & not easy to park. The pram people suggested 2 prams think they are addicts!

Xavielli · 03/05/2010 10:20

I'd say you probably DONT need air tyres unless you're going cross country alot.

I live in a town, don't drive and use buses and trains quite a bit so the iCandy Cherry is perfect for me. lilmiss I love the fudge but could live with the liquorice. Have been considering an apple aswell, purely because there are more of them on eBay! No chance of me getting one new.

As for car seats, I think I'm just going to see if I can borrow my sisters for if I ever go in a car. And back from the hospital obviously.

ILGH I hope your bits feel better soon

If we're sharing (cough) I have joined those of you with the RH (this would be the famous second trimester Rampant Horn!) and poor DP thinks he's too old to keep up so might have to pay a visit to Ann Summers.

Hermya321 · 03/05/2010 10:25

Oooooo I love Yaris's, they're nice cars. The Phil and Teds folds up small and so does the Quinny Buzz. I have a micra and those were the ones I was looking at. We'll be hopefully getting a new car next year. I was looking in the Mothercare catalodge and they have measurements in there, maybe get a tape measure and measure your boot.

The air tyres are for the cobbles! Most of the streets I walk on the school run are cobbled. You see babies bouncing all over!

Tyson86 · 03/05/2010 11:22

Morning all, it raining in Northampton so still laying in bed
Organising taking ds to see In the night garden live in London ATM just hoping i can get tickets when ive got the money as booking a room in the holiday inn aswell for the night. Would book in birmingham but the dates are the 9th oct-24 oct, not worth the risk as im due on the 8th
Hope everyone 's ok.

Hermya321 · 03/05/2010 11:26

Nymph The Phil and Teds tend to be more air tyres types, and you can get an all terrain front wheel for the Quinny Buzz, failing that what about a mountain buggy? They're all terrain. Look I'm a bit of a geek and am very good at researching. Apart from air tyres, what else are you looking for? I could maybe look at a couple of links for you.

Tyson They do In the Night Garden live??? Gosh I have so much to learn.

Nymphadora · 03/05/2010 13:29

hermya don't know! Looked at mountain buggy but the pram people said it was heavy. Quite liked that! I want a carry cot on it for day time sleeps. And erm... Don't know really! Going to be in & out of car as I can't park near the house.steps in & out of house and garden and will need lifting up & down. And am having a section!

lilmissmummy · 03/05/2010 14:31

If I were you nymph I would go with the Quinney Buzz as it folds small, has air tyres an is fairly light. I love pushchairs I have probably played with them all.

I liked the apple over the cherry as our local shop has a special offer and it is slightly heavier and we go walking quite often through the forest and over the downs so I wanted something that could take it.

I liked the Jane and the Stokke but dh didnt. Great pushchairs though!

The Yaris is a lovely car but I think we are going to have to get a 7 seater before Mini comes as we regularly travel 100 miles to visit our parents and with a tall 9 year old a 5 year old a baby and a dog I think a 5 seater for a long journey will be too much.

Any suggestions?

dh at the moment is happy to indulge my RH as you put it Xavielli (thought that was ingenious!)

I am v excited as dh just got tickets from the BBC to see Peter Andre on the old Paul O'Grady show he has just got. They were free! Love Peter Andre (but wouldnt pay to see him) Not til June though!

Are any of you going on holiday in August?

lilmissmummy · 03/05/2010 14:32

ILGH ouch, poor you!

RooBear · 03/05/2010 14:38

hello everyone - welcome patsy we are really lucky, got a car seat pram high chair and moses basket on donations! I thought I was getting really big but aparently people at work had no idea so i can't be as huge as I thought!

Nymphadora · 03/05/2010 15:25

lilmissmummy ta for the advice! Nice to have an expert on board we have no dog but a leggy 10yo & tiny 8 yo so pretty similar situation.

We are having a few days away in August , have tickets for rsc in Stratford then thinking of going on to London but nothing def yet.

Btw is it bad my phone remembers your names now?

Hermya321 · 03/05/2010 15:31

Nymph I found this one it's a cosetto and I found these as well.

Is anybody else breaking out a bit? I've started getting break outs on my face and small patches of dry skin. Most annoying!

Nymphadora · 03/05/2010 15:48

Dh just been watchinG pram videos on YouTube he liked the quinny until we worked out the price!

Hermya321 · 03/05/2010 16:02

Nymph I love the Quinny, just look on ebay for one. If you don't mind second hand, you can get them for about £200 ish with most of the bits with them. Thats what I'm doing anyway.

Hello all, on the (six hour) train journey back from Scotland with ds. After the journey up my initial thought was - what WAS I thinking??? It was a bit trying in that the trains didn't have the sort of wheelchair/pram spaces the ones by me have so ended up with ds on my lap on a crowded Friday/bank hol train for a nap much later than I'd hoped. My blood pressure was definitely up! However we made it and it was worth it to see my relatives who are all very pleased about the pg and I feel much more positive. I also went shopping with my mum and aunt on Saturday do lots of help with ds and I shopped! When I went in the changing rooms I had a good look on the well lit full length mirror and thought 'bloody helll, I look pregnant!". I have yo confess I didsplash out a bit on a non mat dress but it's gathered at the front sp should be fine through the summer, another slightly expensive top, also suitable, then a cheaper h&m mat top. It was great. I hate shopping usually but I did enjoy that.

Ds currently asleep hoping it lasts another hour at least.

Mummywilliams, what a terrible experience and so sad for your wee boy. I thought the tree suggestion was a nice memorial idea. xxx

AbFabT · 03/05/2010 16:48

ILGH, hope the cream works fast and you feel soothed soon.

floozie, we just got off the train from Scotland! Wonder if we were on the same one!!! Actually probably not, as ours pulled in half an hour before you wrote your message. Back in London now. Did feel a little uncomfortable - I can usually sleep anywhere and squash myself into a ball, but the bump got a little in the way and meant I didn't feel like twisting myself into odd positions.

Still stuck on the Stokke!

AbFabT · 03/05/2010 17:06

P.S. ILGH, are you going to tell us what you decided re your boy's name?

ILoveGregoryHouse · 03/05/2010 17:46

AbFab it'll be Gregor or Elliot.

AbFabT · 03/05/2010 18:33

Cool. ILoveElliotStabler!
And think Gregor is perfect for you!

I'm afraid our names are secret, but we have decided! (Though I am still working on DH to get two middle names in!)

Thirdtimer · 03/05/2010 21:47

Humph. No sympathy with those of you not showing yet... obviosuly dds 1 and 2 have knackered any stomach muscles I ever had as am now size of house. For various reasons can't tell work for at least two, pref three weeks... by which time the only possible response will be 'no sht, Sherlock'. It's so bloomin (literally) obvious!
And as for those buying stuff... not for me. In fact do you think people will be offended if we offically demand NO MORE STUFF for this baby!!! The house just can't take it... roof must be about to cave in!
Heard talk of swimming... really must go... did both previous pgs and swore by it. This time I'm just swearing in general instead... but then dh is away and dds are being little sh
tbags (no, firsttimers, I never thought I'd refer to my dds that way - but hey ho!!). Thank god (or Aldi more precisely) for large glass of reduced alcohol wine (mutter all you like, it's better than the stress levels, trust me!)
Oh, and flutterings?? Nope - I'm definitely being poked!

Hermya321 · 03/05/2010 22:08

Thirdtimer (Raises glass and clinks glass), you sound like a girl after my own heart. Have a good drink and destress.

Well as you were all talking about choosing prams and car seats I thought maybe I ought to look. Turns out they do not make car seats that fit in my kind of car so buying a new car is another job (and expense) to add to the list!! Oh well back to the packing! Hope you all had a great bank holiday
