Here we go, pull up a deck chair, catch some rays and help yourselves to a mini eggs ice cream.

Link to the stats list.

Katy Congrats on your little boy , love the name Samuel. I didnt get my appointment, all our money has ended up going on MIL's 60th birthday so had to sacrifice my gender scan, feeling very bitter about it tbh.
As for maternity bras i need one soon, mine hasnt fit properly for for a few weeks now. Also in need of a maternity clothes shop, going to check out ebay i think.
Hope all feeling rough feel better soon.

Hermya321 · 30/04/2010 10:02

Gosh I think I need to go get new bras as well, I really don't want to. I like my bras and boobs as they are/were.

I'm gonna end up spending a small fortune on bras by the end of my pregnancy . I've already gone from a 32FF to a 32G and am now bursting out of that and had to order another larger size. At £20-£30 a shot it is no laughing matter.

Like you Sam I am getting nearly as many comments on the size of my chest as the size of my bump! DP always said my boobs would explode if I got pregnant and I think she may be right

I'm off for my first swim in years. Hoping it will ease my backache. Think I might have to indulge in chips in the cafe afterwards to keep my energy levels up . Isn't it great what we can get away with now we're pregnant

SilverSky · 30/04/2010 11:18

I too think new bras are going to be on the shopping list.

Husband complimented me with (in his mind it was one) "you look like a right page 3 girl now". To be fair i have never struggled in the bust dept but this is ridiculous!

Anyone tried Bravissimo for mat bras?

AbFabT · 30/04/2010 12:15

Thanks, party. Just have to see what happens with the awful boss.

floozie, we are off to Scotland today! Getting the train up! 2pm from Kings Cross!

Aw, Dilly, that does sound cute. Well, the flowers! The thought of mussels actually makes me want to gag!

Hope you all have lovely weekends.

AbFabT · 30/04/2010 12:20

P.S. SeaShells, it's Friday. You got our five questions ready?!

tiredfeet · 30/04/2010 12:32

ellabella hope the swim goes well and helps your back :-)

I'm another one who's boobs are now getting ridiculously big, DH is delighted but I'm going to have to go and spend more money on bra's soon and I can think of more fun things to spend it on (especially as most maternity bras are so uninspiring). I did manage to find some slightly prettier ones in John Lewis though, they cost a bit but was worth it

I've just got back from seeing a friend who's a fitness trainer, she's shown me some very gentle pregnancy exercises, it was really helpful. I've now just got to remember to do them every day, really want to but I am rubbish at getting into a routine of doing things like that.

hope you all have great weekends, looks like its going to be rainy here but going out for a yummy dinner tonight and got a lunch out with family on Sunday, so at least there will be lots of eating

DillyDora · 30/04/2010 12:40

sigh it's like being a teenager again, waiting for my boobs to grow...

Have a top weekend AbFab

Sorry about the scan money tyson that's rubbish.

xx

Elsa123 · 30/04/2010 13:24

Just had 2 pairs of jeans come in through the post - I thought I'd only asked for the one pair and their from Mummy and Little Me (Ues I know, barf inducing title). Anyway one under the bump pair by Melba which I am wearing now and are really comfy and although pair by Noppies which are over the bump and super comfy and really stylish. Am very pleased and can highly recommend them.

Dog has got through op, awaiting pick up after recovery.

Dilly- never mind about the boobs- the mussels and chips sound great!

SeaShellsOnTheSeaShore · 30/04/2010 13:26

Abfab - you are right! FRIDAY FIVE PEOPLE

I'm running out the door (going away for the weekend) so they will have to be topical:

What is it Sue's fault for?

How many treatments of botox do we think david cameron has had, and do you think he will be able to move his face again after the election?

Shag Marry Befriend? The 3 party leaders...

What was the first bit of baby kit you bought?

What are you up to this bank holiday weekend (and will the rain stay away?!)

Ok, will answer later (when I'm not being shouted at by DH)!!!

MummyWilliams · 30/04/2010 13:33

Hello all... Thanks for your thoughts etc

just thought I would let you know that our baby boy was delivered yesterday, he had the cord wrapped around his neck six times and across his body, the placenta had hardly any blood left. Feel so sad.

I wish each and everyone of you, all the luck and love, that you have healthy bouncing babies. I shall think of you all as the due date approaches.

xxx

RooBear · 30/04/2010 13:37

Elsa123 · 30/04/2010 13:43

BionicEar · 30/04/2010 16:42

Mummywilliams - big big hug to you and DH. Make sure you take time out for you and DH and don't be afraid of crying or having a stomp - others will understand and if they don't - s*d them!

Maybe when you feel up to it you could do something to remember your little boy by - like plant a tree or flower in the garden. We did this when I had a mc last year and find it comforting to look at our tree growing.

Nymphadora · 30/04/2010 17:31

mummywilliams I have been thinking about you and send lots of (((hugs))). I think some sort of memory tree is a lovely idea to help remember him.

NinthWave · 30/04/2010 20:34

mummywilliams I'm so sorry for you and for the loss of your dear little boy. I really don't know what else to say, but am sending you hugs XXX

Xavielli · 30/04/2010 21:53

Mummywilliams - You have been so brave. All the best for the future x

SeaShells - Can I ask exactly how you know your risk for MS please. My Mum was diagnosed at the same time as her sister around 3 years ago. My Grandma also thinks her mother may have had it ( although I think they all just thought she was old/a bit nuts due to the spasms and the slowness of understanding/inability to process things quickly - this latter is how my Mum's is manifesting at the moment) so it may well have been in the family for a while. But I'm not sure how hereditary, if at all really, it is. I find it hard to look things like this up on the internet because there is so much to sift through to find the answers you want, and the condition varies so much from person to person that very little of it will actually apply to every case.

Sorry for the waffle!

SeaShellsOnTheSeaShore · 01/05/2010 08:17

mummywilliams think of you, I hope you are recovering and being spoiled at home x

xav there is no identified heritable cause for MS, but your odds of getting in change from 1in1000 to 1in100 if a member of the family has it. I have no history but one major episode so am in limbo waiting to see if I have any more and get a firm diagnosis. It played on my mind, but decided to go for it- i loved having a sibling, I'm sure ds will too

Friday 5 on a Saturday:

it's sue's fault I ate far too much carb last night and now look like I'm 8mths gone!

Of course dc has had Botox, and too much foundation!

Shag DC (and feel awful afterwards, but hope he felt worse) marry NC(yum) and befriend GB ( he needs friends at the moment!)

bought nothing for this bump yet, but stocked up at an nct sale for ds at a later stage, then the flood gates opened!

Off visiting family, the rain is here in intermittant heavy showers.

Have a good weekend!

Xavielli · 01/05/2010 09:39

Friday(ish) Five!

Sue is the blame for the state of my house... obviously.

I try not to look to closely at politicians, they make my teeth itch

Ok, guess I'm going to have to look at them...

Right. GB disgusts me quite frankly (in more ways than one!) so I couldnt be his friend, will shag him and get him out of the way. NC is obviously the good alrounder so will marry him and DC seems ok but is far too wimpy for me so I guess I need to be his friend and beat up the bullies who want to steal his lunch money!

Nothing for this one yet, first thing I bought for DS was a pair of baby Vans and a Liverpool kit!

Going to a friends wedding this evening (briefly) then going for a drink with DP. Hopefully sleeping Sunday and Monday
