Hi ladies,
Sorry I've been a bit absent recently; I've been having one of those weeks. DS and I have both had rotten colds, and I seem to have had a million things to do before Easter. Feeling seriously bleary-eyed this morning - I (and DS of course) had to drop DH off at school at 6.15 for his Italy trip, so even though it's only 7.20 I've already done quite a lot of playing . DS looked so cute when we woke him up this morning, though - all sleepy and disoriented . DH less so . DS is quite confused now, though, about who's going on a coach and an aeroplane and up a volcano (Vesuvius), and suspects it might be him...
Tunise I'm at your experience - you poor thing. Horrid at any time, but doubly so when you're pregnant.
Great news on all the scans - and a warm welcome to Jamiki. You've made me realise, though, that we still need a 23rd and 28th August - roll up, roll up!
Very jealous at all this talk of weekends away. When DS was born, DH and I promised ourselves that we'd try to have one weekend away per year, to keep ourselves sane. We did Paris first year and Rome the second, but no money to go away this year , and I'm not so sure that my parents will be happy to look after 2 DC next year rather than 1 . Oh well. I second Rome as a good weekend away suggestion - beautiful, warm, great food etc. And so much to see (though DH and I are both classicists, so we're biased). Oh, and can I also throw Athens into the mix? Went a couple of years ago, in May, and was surprised by how much I fell in love with it.
Off to my parents for the weekend later today (didn't fancy the idea of just me and DS for the bank holiday weekend, so thought I'd draft in the grandparents ). Will try to keep up with the thread, though.
If I don't, though, have a great Easter, and remember, pregnant ladies, try to avoid sugary snacks that don't provide much nutrition for you and your growing baby - try some dried apricots or a toasted bagel instead .
