My belly button is still an inny and think it will stay that way for a while yet as its quite deep! It has changed shape a bit though, almost like someone is pulling it down by the bottom.

stac no pink and blue mascara isnt really my colour either! Think I might give that one a miss lol.

With regards to bump size mine has def grown noticably over the past week. I take a pic of it every Tues now (dont know why a Tues but my friend asked for one and thats the day I took it!) so I can see how much its growing, I started taking them at 21+2 which is quite late but not really alot to see before then anyway.

stac14 · 21/03/2010 22:17

thanks for the advice mlic just curious if they still give you bottles in the hospital? Thier pre-made so whats the difference? Wow babies are a mine field lol

memphis let us know how your dog gets on, whens he back at the vets? Defo goin to speak to mw tomorrow

dh i have an inny too but its wider and getting less deep. I thought the mascara was black one end and lip gloss at the other. I'm tempted to try them on for a laugh haha. Face masks are good though. X

just watched the jade goody one year on and it was so sad! not recommended for pregnant hormonal women!

beckyg123 · 22/03/2010 07:41

Morning, Off to work... really can't wait to stop! i've decided to stop just before the bank holiday at end of May so just over 9 weeks to go! woohoo! stopping just over 5 weeks before my due date so i can get a rest before the chaos begins for next couple of decades! Can't see when in my life i will have another opportunity to get a few weeks just for me! really can't see me getting bored but there is only 1 way to find out! lol!

stac yeh we went to blochairn but it was so busy! i kinda got a little panicky and we had to come home (not usually like that?) We did get lots of butcher meat for freezer and some fruiot and veg etc (way much cheaper than tesco!) but i couldn't deal with the chaos of the car boot and stalls

memphis fingers crossed for your dog. Mine is definately my first baby and would be devistated if she was unwell- i get upset in the summer when she eats long grass and spews it up!

DH21 and stac you could do one pink eye and one blue eye! hee hee!

So far my belly button is still an inny! I'm a bit freaked out at the thought of it popping out but like others its pretty deep so a long way to go yet!
Strangers have started asking when i'm due so must be sticking out quite a bit now!

Agh well, off to work now ... thinking of an excuse not to go!

memphis83 · 22/03/2010 08:19

staches at the vets again wednesday hes not eating as much as he did on 1st day but anything is better than nothing! at our hospital they are pre mixed bottles, its differnet al all counties apparently, some charge you by getting them out of a vending machine which sounds just wrong, i asked my midwife as i was scared they would tell me i had to bf if i didnt take bottle in, she said they have to provide milk inthere but its the only thing they do provide will just be glad to get out of there and homeafter the birth! at our hospital if you want a private room its 1st come 1st serve and they charge 65 a night! but were taking money in just in case i end up staying in! last night dh said dont you think its time you made up your hospital bag? what?!?!? im 25 weeks not 35!! our 3d scan is on sunday im very excited!!!! i will learn to add pics b4 then so ican get them on here! have a great monday everyone

stac14 · 22/03/2010 08:22

hey becky it was a good day for a booty but i hate it being all crowded too. Think its because people can be so bloody rude that even your bump doesnt get you by safely. At the forge the girl serving me on the baby stall is due in june and i was far bigger god knows were this bump came from lol

Hi to everyone else, so cold outside but suns trying to come out, whats everyone up to today? X

Hello Girls! I hope your weekend went well! I survived looking after 3 kiddos! A 5 year old and 10 yr old and my DD. And managed to go to a nearly new sale, where I got some lovely clothes for LO. DD walk up with fever this morning and of her food... So had to miss my eyebrows appointment Will have to postpone it. Oh and I got very freaked out yesterday as I was laying down and she sat directly on my tummy. O is kicking and all but I am still paranoid. Have a good day!

Im really hoping my friend can come over today, shes going to let me know soon but I dont want to stay in on my own BUT if she cant come over I might go for a walk as its really sunny yay!

Chulita · 22/03/2010 14:20

Tesco haven't sent me my club stuff yet so I can't send off for the hamper. I signed up months ago too...might have to do it again!

DD's ill again so that means no outings for us this week...it's going to be a long, boring week

Hope everyone has a great Monday!

spidershavearrived · 22/03/2010 15:04

Hello girls, haven't been in for ages, thought I'd drop by and say hi.

Sorry haven;t caught up on the specifics yet.

Just got set to go out and now the rain has arrived which means rain suit and wellies and all that malarkey - rain should be savined for evenings when we don't need to be out and about.

I'm still deaf in left ear - another apmt for tomorrow with doc but feeling soooo much better in myself. Have just heard one of my dear friends is pregnant with her second - she's due Oct, our first children are born close together. Its good to know I'm not theonly mad one of the group.

Anyway got to get to the park.

Hope this mail finds you all well.

stac14 · 22/03/2010 16:07

hi memphis hope hes ok, i hate when our dogs ill.

mlic just wondered what the difference was, thanks

jojo well done for managing for the weekend, you were brave lol. Did you get to your app?

dh did your friend come over? Enjoy your mask

spiders glad your up and about hun, did you have a good day?

Went to mw today and explained about epostimy scar (spelling) i'm sure at the time i was told it was 3rd degree. Anyway i had ds at a different hospital than the one i'm going to so theres chance they may not get them . But anyway it means i may need a section. Will find out were we stand on 19th april if they find my notes if not i need to see what the cons says. Oh the joys lol x

I am getting hamster cheeks and a definite double chin and although everyone keeps commenting on how 'neat' my bump looks I know I am gaining elsewhere. Anyone else experiencing the same?

Also - I'm totally confused as to what is a healthy amount of weight to gain during pregnancy. I so want to eat healthily but as all I can stomach at the moment is carbs and sweet stuff what am I to do? My midwife was lovely and told me not to even think about weight gain as a problem but this past week I have started to feel v bloated. Even my underwear is starting to feel really tight. I hope this doesn't come across as a vain post because that's not my intention...I just can't help but worry about how long I still have to go and all the weight I am still likely to gain. I am 25 weeks now. Is anyone else worried about this?

Jojobil · 22/03/2010 17:00

Hi Stac no I did not the midwife was ill and mtg was postponed Good luck with your meetings and trying to get someone to listen! It's ridiculous - they should at the meeting have your previous notes. They seem to have no clue...

My DD has high fever - poor sweetie. I think I will make her pain pasta with cheese. Will see how that goes.

*Violet" They say around 2 stone is normal. So I'd say 2 dress sizes? Maybe 3 dress sizes up? Although with my DD I put on over 4 stones! I did manage to loose it... And already put on 2 dress sizes now from 12 to 16... So I am not the best person when it comes to trying to keep the weight down during pregnancy! I am usually good when I am not I think our bodies "know" what they need and babies demand what they want! So I just try to have a healthy diet and walk a lot do yoga etc... Although have a sweet or cake once a day. Something I would not do outside of pregnancy. If we can not pig out now, when can we?

kkfairybrains · 22/03/2010 18:05

violet im in the same boat as u! finding it really hard to eat healthy esp since the tiredness is hitting me again as i cant be bothered cooking after working! definately feeling it on my ass and legs although everyone saying how neat i am too! im just not gonna worry about it until after baby comes even though i dont want to have loads of extra weight to lose either! as long as baby is healthy i can worry about my weight after

DesperateHousewife21 · 22/03/2010 18:52

stac yeah my friend did come over which was nice, she was here at 12 and left just before 6 so kept me company all day!

Im about to have my bath and will try out the mask so will let you know how it goes!

Just when I started to panic about not feeling Dylan moving very much, even started a thread in pregnancy about it, he starts moving alot typical lol, although of course I much prefer feeling him move around. Im such a paranoid first timer!

stac14 · 22/03/2010 19:07

jojo theres an 11 year gap for me and the hospital i had ds in shut down but apparantly there was damaged files due to a flood, just worried they try to make me have a natural birth that could cause long term complications, grr nightmare. Hows dd? Did the pasta go down ok?

violet i put on 4st with ds and seemed to gain everywhere. This time my bump is massive but i havent put anything on elsewhere. I had asked the mw bout this as i seem huge and she says my muscles are looser this time. Regarding the bloatedness she said baby can be playing footy with your intestines and bowel which causes wind (didnt know that lol)

kk think thier only concerned about weight gain if it is vast, also mw says to worry later as your body is doing enough without worry bout weight gain x

OP posts:
stac14 · 22/03/2010 19:24

dh try not to worry hun, its normal for baby to be quieter some days and busy others, they say there should be more of a pattern at 25wks x

stac the face mask is very moisturising but also leaves the face very wet when you take it off as its so moist. I think my face is thanking me though for giving it so much moisture!

Ive put on a stone so far, that was in the first 3 months or so. Havent put on a single ounce since then though. Think it will steadily increase as time goes on though.

memphis83 · 22/03/2010 21:14

i was ill at the start of my pregnancy and lost a stone and since then i have only put on 3 pounds which is strange as my boobs have gone up 4 cup sizes, my waist is 12 inches bigger and dh has told me im carrying more weight on my bum, this is when i will whack the weight on now carbs is my middle name and toasted teacakes are my best friend! i was loving fruit but thats gone out the window!! my dh went to test ride a new motorbike for me eventhough ive got 4 months til i can ride it, plus time to fit back into my leathers! so i was a lot happier today!!

viksam · 22/03/2010 21:23

Hi Everyone,
Re the weight issue, im the same really dont want to put loads on and have trouble getting rid afterwards, however i ate two douhnuts in one day last week, thats so uncool and piggy!!
I just payed for the cot/bed from M&P today, the shop will hold it for us till we have had the carpet put down and are ready for it so thats good. I also gave the go a head for the conservatory to be done, hurrah, feel like things are gona move for us now, so much to do and so little time!!
My DH just let me read the ulegy he is going to say at his dads funeral on Thursday, it made me cry so much, its so lovely and he has written it so well, i hope i can be strong for him on the day but my emotions are up the wall atm.
I want the pack from tesco now, im gona have a look on the web site and see how to join, i havent joined anything yet, i suppose i have been quite preoccupied really.
Hope everyone had a good start to the week.xx

Wonderstuff · 22/03/2010 21:39

Hi all
DD is much better, slept though last night, I think that she has just one more tooth to cut, nearly there. She is never poorly when she isn't teething.

Cat weed on our sofa again, dh says she is on her last warning. Don't know what to do, she obviously isn't happy and isn't going to feel any better for having a new baby in the house, but she's one of my babies too.

Getting awful back ache today, feeling better after a bath, but not looking forward to aching for the next 4 months.

Anyway, got some lessons to plan so best sign off for today.

viksam · 22/03/2010 21:44

wonder Dont know if i have missed some info about ur cat, has she got a medical problem? Isnt it difficult to know what to do about them. We have started being a bit more strict with the dog but i find it really hard and the cats just freak me out atm with their dirty feet and the risk of toxoplasmosis, im paranoid i know but cant help it.

Wonderstuff · 22/03/2010 23:02

No medical issue - she just doesn't cope well with change - still scared of dd and have only been in this house for 4 months! Having only toileted outside in last house she is scared to go out now - think the snow freaked her. I honestly think she has some sort of autistic issues. Anyway this is the 4th time she has declined the litter tray in favour of our furniture, she is clearly unhappy but I don't know how to fix it, keep hoping she will get used to everything. Think I'll start a new thread on her when I get a minute - MN seems capable of sorting most problems.
Anyway to bed, have finally sorted tomorrows lessons.

Firerise · 23/03/2010 06:53

Hello all,

I managed to sleep for more than 3 hours last night so feel human again for the first time in a week.

wonder I am aching too mainly lower back and in between my ribs so have decided I would like to spend the next few months floating in the dead sea!

With regards to the cat, might be worth getting one of those feliway (sp?) plugins as might be behaving that way due to stress or perhaps phone the vet to see what they recomend?

Think we have decided on a travel system and my mum has kindly offered to help us out with it. We're both tall and are likely to have a tall baby (what a funny thought!) so wanted something with a long handle and large carrycot so think we will go for an iCandy apple. Anyone got one and if so what do you think
