morning ladies

I have to say my dreamgenii hasn't gave me orgasms, wonder if its cos I can't be bothered with sex at the mo lol.
spireal defo no raunchy dreams either, totally different from my pregnancy with ds

chulita how have you been?

memphis my ds is 10 and i have no clue bout club penguin so don't feel out of it. Believe me I am subjected to a fair amount of kids tv lol

jojo think your right, compared to some names its really not that out there.

Its a sunny day today thankfully, ds is off out to play. We have the dentist later but then nothing else planned. What are you all up to? X

Hi all,

Went to see the mw this morning, she was running a bit behind I was in there for an hour (thats waiting time and time with mw) but I did get my HiP form which was good.

My next app is in 3 weeks time, they are getting closer together which means Im getting closer to the end!
She has also signed me and DP up for a 4 hour class at the local hospital, its basically an antenatal class but they cram it all in to 4 hours so only have to go once which suits me just fine!

I measured my waist again today and its gone up an inch and a half since last Tues!

Hope everyone has a good day today, Im eating a pot noodle for lunch I dont do it often but I seem to love them atm

violetbubbles · 07/04/2010 12:57

DH21 Pot noodle sounds yum! I have a Beef & Tomato one in the cupboard. Might have it for lunch

DesperateHousewife21 · 07/04/2010 13:01

violet yeah beef and tomato is what I just had, they're my fav!

stac14 · 07/04/2010 13:18

thats good dh i've not got mine yet, will phone the maternity unit see what they say. Pot noodle does sound yum, used to like chicken and mushroom till they changed them. Beef and tomato is defo the best. X

Chulita · 07/04/2010 13:28

I've been alright thanks stac, DH has been on holiday so I don't turn the laptop on as much!
No orgasmic dreams due to the dreamgenii for me either - not a selling feature they can boast about lol

beckyg123 · 07/04/2010 15:24

Just back from pregnancy exercise class- very annoyed as she made me sit out the energetic bit due to last weeks antics but got to join in the rest! i suppose they are just trying to be careful.

mmm... pot noodle! i like the nice n spicy one but not had it for months! I'm having fajitas for dinner as DH is working and got 2 friends coming round.

I'm really annoyed reading the names thing! its such a massive decision and you really don't need other people bad mouthing it! AGH! some people are so rude. My cousin recently called her little girl trixy- i think it is really sweet but you should hear the things my granny and her friends say! she has had a lot of stick- i found out the meaning is "bringer of joy" and had a card made specially with it on- think it boosted her confidence with it- she is on her own so didn't have a DP to support the choice. Anyway the LO really suits it!

DH21 my body shape is also changing massively! i can't wear the dress i had for the wedding next week as it just looks all wrong now- was perfect 2 weeks ago!

House feels so quiet now the girls have all gone! i've tidied up so think i'll put tv on for a while- very sad this week that OBEM isn't on sky planner to watch!

whats everyone else up to?

DesperateHousewife21 · 07/04/2010 15:36

becky I dont even notice what my body is doing as I obv see it every day, its only when I compare the photos I take every week that I can see a difference.
I have fajitas on Sat night when we stayed round a friend's house, they were lovely, prob one of my fav meals enjoy!

STILL waiting to here about the housing benefits, its been a week since I handed in the form and she said Ill def hear within a week, I guess easter disrupted things a bit but getting impatient to know what we're entitled to!

DesperateHousewife21 · 07/04/2010 15:36

*hear even. lol good one.

beckyg123 · 07/04/2010 16:04

DH i don't think any of our preggo brains would have noticed

I helped my dad with housing benefit application a couple of years ago. it was a nightmare- they took ages, when i called up they said the forms had been lost, luckily i had taken copies so when i went in with them the originals were in the file! It took between 6-7 weeks with constant chasing to sort out. Thats glasgow for you!
I really hope your experience is not like that! Just keep on top of them and chase up as much as you can!

kkfairybrains · 07/04/2010 16:07

how is everyone today?
wel im having the most relaxing day ever! actual birthday today so got breakfast in bed this morn-french toast and bacon- and then fell back asleep til half 1! getting my dinner cooked then soon and dp is soo excited about cooking it he says its gonna be gorgeous! and then a big black forest gateaux birthday cake!! yummy! and he got a phone call yesterday to meet a man at 4 o clock today and he thinks it could be about a job so he's gone to meet him now and if it is a job it'l be the best birhday present ever! he's been doing 3 night a weekend in a pub for the last few months and really getting him down that he doesnt have anything full time so fingers crossed!

beckyg123 · 07/04/2010 16:12

Oh KK sounds like a perfect day! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Fingers crossed for your DH. whats he cooking?

stac14 · 07/04/2010 16:20

Afternoon all, had to do a bit of digging about regarding my health in maternity grant, GP apparantly doesnt do it as it takes up too much of his time. Anyway I phoned the Royal and they were quite shocked my GP wouldnt do it but have told me to come tomorrow to get the form done yay some cash to spend on lo

dh it can sometimes take time for housing benefit to be sorted but you can phone them to ask what your entitled to, they will know based on dp's earnings. Also have you thought about claiming working tax? If your partner is over 25 and working 30 hours per week or more you may be entitled to something and defo be entitled to child tax credit after lo is born (wow I sounded like an advert lol) I used to work assisting people with benefits thats how I know some stuff. But beck is right you can wait a while to hear about your HB award, so keep chasing them

Aww becky they are just looking out for you, you'll be back to the engergetic stuff before you know it. We had fajitas on saturday, have you tried the cripsy chicken from ol elpaso? its the same kit you get for fajitas but the give you a spicy breadcrumb to roll your chicken in and then you oven bake. They are gorgeous

chulita you must be enjoying your hols then lol, dp is off next week so I will be the same xx

OP posts:
beckyg123 · 07/04/2010 16:27

Hi stac yes love the crispy chicken fajitas- not quite enough spice for me but great for something different! Had the hot ones last week with DH so having the normal ones tonight. Those kits are great! infact i think i have a bit of an addiction to fajitas

kkfairybrains · 07/04/2010 16:54

thanks becky! he's doing steak in garlic butter ir something on ciabatta bread wit mushrooms and onions and cheese on top and big chunky chips and pepper sauce! he's stil not back so hoping thats a good thing?!

stac14 · 07/04/2010 16:58

Happy birthday kk defo fingers crossed for DP and the job Your dinner sounds gorgeous, my dp doesnt know how to cook, if he makes the kids sausages for breakfast they wont eat them lol. Did you get some nice pressies? Let us know how DP gets on xxx

OP posts:
DesperateHousewife21 · 07/04/2010 17:08

stac you can be my benefit advisor then lol. DP isnt yet 25, he will be later this year though after LO is born. Ill give it til Sat and if havent heard anything then might call and see whats happening.

Happy birthday kk!! I agree your dinner sounds delicious, hope you enjoy it and have a great evening

stac14 · 07/04/2010 17:26

dh you are still entitled to tax credits after lo is born though, not certain but you may also be entitled to a maternity grant orth £500 xx

OP posts:
stac14 · 07/04/2010 19:11

Evening ladies
DP is away to visit his mum, I am waiting for an orange jelly setting and DS is out playing. Can't get much better lol. Also friends are throwing me a baby shower. can't believe it, very surprised and of course told them not to be so silly and they are totally ignoring me. Is anyone else having one? I know a few local gilrs who are but I thought it was more american, knowing m friends its an excuse to get pissed. What do you all think? xxx

OP posts:
DesperateHousewife21 · 07/04/2010 19:16

Ive had a look into the maternity grant I dont think Im entitled to it but will double check that.

memphis83 · 07/04/2010 19:29

stac thats so nice of your friends! i would be lucky if i get a congrats card from my mates lol, even if it is an excuse for them to have a few drinks they should be putting on nice food aswell you should start dropping hints about what your craving!
kk that sounds amazing your very lucky!

i went to tk maxx today and they had the pillow for £30 but i didnt buy it as i had only just got into town so i planned on picking it up on way back to car and then i forgot!! so i went to retail park on wat home and in babies r us and mothercare they were £45 so i will pop back into town to get it later in the week!
got my cooking bug back this week i used to love cooking but not enjoyed it since ive been pregnant so past 2 days weve had lovely tea and dh has just said inm the best cook ever so im very happy!! but then again his mum is a terible cook so not got much to go on

stac14 · 07/04/2010 19:40

I'm sure its cos your a good cook not cos his mums crap memphis lol so what lovely delights have you been making? Your right I will be putting special requests for food or make them buy me a chinese while they get very drunk lol xx

OP posts:
Chulita · 07/04/2010 20:52

I've got indigestion and it's really painful [pity me emoticon]
of a baby shower, no chance of one for me. Good excuse to get pressies for LO though!
Happy birthday kk

viksam · 07/04/2010 21:29

Hi Everyone,
violet hows the house packing up going. Sounds like ur under a lot of stress, try and take it easy if you can, plenty of rests and snack's. Just think by the weekend it will be all over and you will be in ur new place.
That rib feeling must be something to do with food and bad posture i recon, but even sitting bolt upright doesnt sort it out.
About antenatal classes, whats the deal with everyone's DP's, should they go with us or not?? I read that the main purpose of the classes is to prep you for labour and pain relief etc. I think DH will come to the tour of the labour ward with me but i dont think he is keen one the classes, is that bad?
Id love a baby shower but its most unlikley, i dont know people well enough down here and its difficult to get all my mates together when i visit home so im very !!
Has anyone else got really bad skin, my hair and nails are ace but my skin is the worst its ever been, not sure why.

kkfairybrains · 08/04/2010 00:34

thanks evryone! well great news-he got the job! yay!starts on monday and we'r over the moon! dinner was class! better than any meal out!
stac lucky you with the baby shower! my friends were talking about it but have heard othing since but think it would be pointless for me on the pressie front as we'r not finding out what we'r having and we've got everything we need i think! great excuse for a girly get together tho!
got loads of nice pressies! one of the girls got me a pregnancy massage in a spa so i can spend the day there if i want and she got me a baby feet charm wit a wee diamond for my charm bracelet!
cant say i'm with you on the skin vik.i wonder if the hormones are making your skin more oily and maybe you need to change whatever products you use just while you're preg.? and a good exfoliating wash i find great
