to be honest mlic i am frightened of what may happen if i give birth naturally, theres a chance i could end up incontinent from the back end, and as ds was a big boy i kind of expect lo to be the same. Yesterday i felt movement in my pelvis up to the top of my womb so i'm guessing thats not small lol. Dp will defo be being nice after last night. I just cant get back to sleep. X

stac and mlic its the Graco Quattro Tour Deluxe Travel System in LOL. Except Im not sure what LOL is apart from the obv laugh out loud but dont think its that!

It comes with a foot muff and raincover so even though its a bit more than kiddicare we're saving money in the long run.

kkfairybrains · 27/03/2010 13:15

we got the graco travel system too dh and must say im very pleased with it. it does exactly what its supposed to do! its in the utility room all the time and dp is always practisin puttin it up and down and whelling it round! so funny!
stac that doesn't sound promising for a vaginal birth!! think you'd def be better with a section.
aw crap i forget what everyone else said now! this baby brain is starting to annoy me! oh yeah that scan picture was lovely! lovely little cheeks! forget who put it up now too!
well there's not much happening with me! quiet weekend so going down to my mums for the weekend and going to dads then on monday night cos he's getting my hair done for me for my birthday! its only 5 weeks since i'v had the highlights done and ther's a good inch or more regrowth already! mental! gonna be a quarter of a century old in a week and a half! .
anyone else get really sore legs? last night couldn't sleep with the pain in them and stil sore this morn.also i have sciatica! yay! not! so bloody sore! anyway enough moaning from me.whats everyone else up to for the weekend?xx

DesperateHousewife21 · 27/03/2010 14:01

kk is the travel system you bought the same as the one Im getting, i.e from babies r us as thats the only place I can see that sell this partic model. Just asking as I wanted to double check that the car seat does click onto the buggy as the one from kiddicare does.

Jojobil · 27/03/2010 16:00

dh yeah just googled it there and think it is the same one. and yeah the car seat clicks onto the cup holder thingy at the front.very easy to click on and off im delighted with it.we got it in the navy and red.would have maybe liked a black one but we got it so cheap that we couldn't let it go. 150 euro in the january sales! they only in it for 6 months anyway and then you get the lighter pushchair so dont really mind about the colour cos they'l have their nice little blankets and all.ooooooooohhh i cant wait! getiin so excited now! only another 13 weeks and 5 days til due date!

DesperateHousewife21 · 27/03/2010 22:02

kk oh thats good, you'd think it would be clear that the car seat fits in, its a massive selling point but there was nowhere on the website or graco itself that mentioned it. In the end I went on wikipedia for a definition of a travel system!
Yeah thats such a bargain! Its costing us just shy of £300 but luckily we are having some help with the cost. It seems so much as will only need car seat for 6 months, will carry on using the buggy the whole time though and as this is my first I will keep the car seat for future children!

beckyg123 · 28/03/2010 09:16

Morning! Just been catching up as been off for a few days. Painted the kitchen with my friend yesterday (DH was working) and it was fun! Was so kind of her to come and help otherwise i would have been waiting a few weeks for someone to help with high bits! It looks fab
Last night was so tired and my poor sciatic hip decided to give up on me!!! Got stuck on the couch for 2 hours waiting for DH to come home and help me up- he had to lift me off the couch, walk me to toilet then help me to bed- was so humiliated but he was so great and supportive, not patronising at all- TBH i think i felt useful!
while i was waiting for him to come home i called my mum to distract me however she just laughed and said she bets i look like a beached whale! she was just trying to be funny- prob something i would say normally but made me want to cry Bloody hormones!
Not sure if i should go back to physio or wether it was just related to doing too much yesterday? Still a bit sore today but slept ok-ish last night. Think i'll go for a bath, see if that eases it off!

MLIC how did the dress fit? can you put a vest top under to cover up boobs a little? might be cheaper than a new dress! I'm going to a wedding in 3 weeks. Borrowed a dress of SIL that looks really good although not a maternity one but only got an inch left for growth on bump- fingers crossed it still fits at the time!

stac i love the babies r us bears too! go in there every so often for a look but i've dropped a lot of hints so afraid to buy it myself now!!! When is your cons appointment? Be strong and assertive with them- it is your body!

Whats everyone up to today?

I'm sure forecast said sun for us today but can't see any yet!

Jojobil · 28/03/2010 12:05

Hello! I hope you are all well! It is sunny here and I just finished my (nigella Lawson) fudge cake and off to my friend, who I share my birthday this week with, for lunch! I'm in high spirits and feeling much better then yesterday! I think I discovered that I get indigestion/acid reflex after garlic... I was feeling really unwell yesterday and my stomach felt tight and uncomfortable? Anyone else noticed they don't agree with certain foods at the moment?

stac14 · 28/03/2010 12:36

Morning all

jojo lol at that article. at nigella fudge cake, did you bake it yourself? There are some foods that don't agree with me, but the heartburns not kicked in yet for me.

becky fab news bout your kitchen being finished. My bil is supposed to be papering mine and still hasnt done it. I want the bear moses basket and cot bed bumper, its so cute. Poor you about your hip. I would ask the physio just in case they can help

Thanks for your advice regarding the cons, your totally right i have to stick up for me and my baby, another 3 weeks before my app. As my friend says it was a traumatic time for a 19 year old and it added to the pnd i suffered with ds. I'm worried they can't get my notes but i was there so bugger the notes lol. Sorry rant over.

Well the sun popped out and buggered off lol. How's everyone today? Much better sleep last night but could probs sleep more. Dp bought flowers to say sorry, and paid dearly off his mum lol. Hope alls well x

DesperateHousewife21 · 28/03/2010 14:07

Hi all, just had my Sunday roast yum! LO is kicking me now so think all that food has woken him up. It usually sends him to sleep lol.

In my area a girl my age, also preg, has died of a heart condition and her baby couldnt be saved it really scares me as our situations were so similar and she didnt know she had anything wrong with her heart. Its a really tragic story.

memphis83 · 28/03/2010 14:59

happy sunday everyone! stac nice that dp got you flowers and that his mum got involved to make him feel even more guilty
dh thats so sad about girl in your area, i feel lucky that they are keeping an eye on my heart, but maybr docs should be keeping an eye on all mum to bes when they say they are having palpatations rather than just saying its normal (which they said to me 3 times b4 i got rushed to hospital)
went for the 3d scan this morning it was lovely got 14 pics, the heartbeat bear and a dvd so i will try and get a pic on at some point, he had his hands behind his head as he slept then when he got poked awake he was covering his face and sucking his feet!

memphis yeah it made me think cos sometimes I feel like my heart is beating too hard for a few seconds. Maybe I should mention it to my mw when I go and see her on the 7th.
The 3d scan sounds amazing! Cant wait to see a pic

stac14 · 28/03/2010 18:02

thats a shame for that girl dh wouldnt do any harm to mention, but remember it may be due to your heart working harder.

memphis that sounds so cute, cant wait to see your pics. Did seeing him make you relax a bit?

mlic why not wear your hair up and forget the hat? I need to find an outfit for a comfirmation in may, but will wait till nearer the time.xx

OP posts:
memphis83 · 28/03/2010 19:56

stac it made me feel so much better seeing him, my dh has been such a proud daddy saying it feels really real now and told his friends all about it which was really lovely to see! and he actually enjoyed walking around mothercare after which he doesnt usually enjoy doing!looking at the pics he looks like my oldest nephew did which i found strange, and if he does end up looking like him then life will be interesting hes 18 now and girls adore him!! lol
dh stac is right thats its worth mentioning but remember not to panic as we have a lot more blood for our hearts to pump around so your heart does beat faster!
monday tomorrow where has the weekend gone

DesperateHousewife21 · 28/03/2010 20:00

memphis yeah Ill just ask her in passing to make sure its nothing serious.

Also I noticed today I have stretch marks on the top side of my right thigh, almost on my bum. Unsightly things arent they?

24 weeks today my beautiful boy is now "viable" but he WILL stay in there for another 16 weeks yet!

Hi all. Had a manic weekend, getting ready for our trip to Scotland on Friday. All stocked up on treats, colouring and stickers for the epic train ride. All I need is wellies - I had some, and I'm sure they're in storage, but we still haven't got around to getting all our stuff out, so will have to look for new I think, forcast is rain on everyday bar one and on that day apparently it will feel like -14! I don't even have a coat with a hood! My back seems to be fine if I'm standing but the time I can spend sitting seems to be decreasing - we went out for lunch today and I was aching by the end - trip round the supermarket sorted me out but am now aching again after tea. Think I'm going to have to spend lots of time wandering up and down the carriage on Friday - must remember to pack some paracetamol as well..

Congrats on 24 weeks dh I just got stretch marks on my hips last time - already had them up my thighs from puberty - this time they are appearing all over my tummy they do fade though. Losing my tummy button was the most traumatic damage from my last pregnancy - I had assumed it would ping back - not sure how I thought that would happen! Used to have such a lovely flat tummy [whistful]

Hope that the hospital agrees to cs stac a friend of mine had third degree tear with her first and was told afterwards she could absolutly request a csec for subsequent births if she wished. If they can't find your notes they will have to trust your word, not like you'd make something like that up is it!

Cat saga continues - she weed on dd's duvet which had been left on our sofa - so glad everything Ikea sells seems to be machine washable Woke up after nap this afternoon to her eyeballing me - curled up on my chest so we were nose to nose - if I'm not with dd she won't leave my side. Not at all sure how she is going to react to us going away for a week, already dreading what we will come back to.

Anyway off to have a bath.

stac14 · 28/03/2010 21:24

memphis dp was like that the other week, now he cant wait to saturday for the follow up scan so he can go buy pink, bless.

dh we're a day apart, i was 24wks yesterday . I havent noticed any new stretchmarkr but ds gave me thousands, they fade to the same colour as your skin eventually hun

mlic so a hat would be far easier also very apt for the races

We bought a photo album for the baby today, it has all her scan pics in it. So cute lol x
