mumcha so glad things are ok and fingers crossed for next week.
talkingback I put on lots of weight with my last pregnancy and trying to avoid the same this time, some ideas for healthy (and not so healthy but low-cal) snacks. alpen or weetabix cereal bars (easy to keep in handbag and less than 100 cal), breadsticks, grapes, rice cakes or carrot sticks (I find them too dry so dip them into the small pots of philidelpia (sp!)), bananas, Innocent smoothies, in Lakeland you can get huge tubs of seeds and nuts a handful of them, childs pot of yogurt, rich tea biscuits. The other thing you can do is instead of having 3 meals a day is to break them down into 6 smaller meals. I am trying to keep active as well but feeling sick and tired all the time isn't helping so I am just doing 30minutes a day in the gym which should be enough to maintain a baseline fitness.
marypoppins welcome and there are a few of us on here who have had m/c in the past and keeping our legs well crossed at the moment!
ladybee thanks for those podcasts, I will be listening to my hypnobirthings CDs again as well which tell me I am A STRONG WOMAN, WHO CAN BREATHE THROUGH LABOUR. Very american, but they work
martha glad I am not the only one who is feeling their clothes are tight, I had to use one of those belly buttons on my jeans yesterday and I was like WTF I am eating carefully and exercising how can I be popping out already.
ebb hope your little one feels better soon.
clear yes just make an appointment with GP and he should pass you on to midwife and scan.
gingertoo there is hope re:SPD an NCT friend had it really badly during her first prenancy but hasn't had it yet (she is 7 months) in her second.
Tanmus82 I remember with my first pregnancy I mostly bought every mother and baby magazine and treated myself like a delicate princess however this time DS1 has other ideas.
hmm I was discussing an early scan with DH last night and he did ask what was the point, for the same reason you have pointed out, an ok early scan now doesn't mean you will get to 12 weeks (sorry to scare everyone who has had an ok early scan!)
clueless gaviscon is your new best friend - you can get it on prescription plus in useful handbag sachets.
boo hope you feel better soon.
redandyellowandpinkandgreen if you are terrified of the labour have a look at this www.hypnobirthing.co.uk/
Welcome to all the newbies I have missed.
I have a GP appointment this morning which will mainly consist of me saying yes I am taking folic acid (and hope you all are too) and can I please be referred to either consultant a or b for my care. I then need to go into town to order some lamb to cook for 8 on Mothering Sunday. I am pretty much constantly nauseous (but not actually sick) and tired. I went to bed at 8:30pm last night and woke up feeling sick and exhausted. I want more than 2 kids but think we might adopt after this one!!!
