Due October 2010 - anyone else??

loueytbg · 21/01/2010 13:26

I got a very faint BFP last night and a really nice pink line this morning This will be my third baby, but 2nd pregnancy - I had twins first time round and I'm really hoping for just the one this time.

Due date is 2th October by ovulation date and 6th October by LMP - I'm going with the early date at the moment although I'm sure the NHS will change it to the later one.

I feel as sick as a dog and have nearly puked already which doesn't bode well for the next few weeks. God know how I'm going to keep it quiet.

Right I'm off to buy some more tests to pee on

Hi all

I'm Having dinner in work canteen feeling sick as. I'm in till 10 tonight and sooooo just want to go home and sleep. Also I have a mini dilemma. My mum is looking after DS today and tomorrow as DP is away for work and I don't know whether to tell her or not. Last time we didn't until the scan, which was a ridiculous 14 weeks - really hoping it's changed since last time. DP thinks I should. Part of me wants to but then I'm only 6+5 and I partly want to shield her from the waiting worry. Any thoughts?

salander · 09/03/2010 19:07

hello hello

tentatively adding myself to thread now i have had 2 scans and actually believe am pregnant!

i am due 16th oct i reckon, approx 8+3 just now. had some bleeding last week hence the reason for the scans, so relieved all ok. have first antenatal appt 6th april so happy days.

apart from that feeling permanently crap! mainly nauseated which is ALMOST (note, almost) worse than actually being sick. am living on diet of special K and diet coke - mmm, healthy!

anyway. hello to all. hope its ok if i join.

Nymphadora · 09/03/2010 19:44

Hi Salander

Forgot to say before but I went to GP today for bp check & meds and my bp is actually on the low side. He doesnt want to mess around with my meds as its likely to go up at some point soon and thats a bigger risk.

My new food is grapefruit but dd2 has took a shine to them and keeps having half with me!

lilmissmummy · 09/03/2010 19:51

Hi Newbies great to have you here!

Excellent news about your scan Hermya really pleased for you

I had my bloods done today and they said that I should have a scan at about 10 weeks but my booking in appointment with the MW is on the 20th April!!!!! That is AGES! However I was weighed and I am a stone lighter than I thought I was

We told our parents last weekend. Cant wait for the scan!

SO EXCITED TODAY (and so sick!)

Hermya321 · 09/03/2010 20:20

Hey,

Thanks for your messages. I feel so relieved, can't wait for the next scan though.

Lilmissmummy Thats pretty cool.

AbFab I've not been eating extra either, to be honest I'm eating less than what I would normally. I can't seem to stomach the thought of anything nice at the moment.

Vikks · 09/03/2010 21:15

Salander!!!! So glad you came over .
Great to hear your scans were good, I've got my second on Thursday. So excited!!
I've read that the baby is moving by now. Anyone seen movement on a scan yet?
Also has anyone had their swine flu jab? My MW said that I should just book it myself, I thought it would be something they prioritised more. So I'm getting my shot next Thursday.

Hello to everyone else! Snap re. the tiredness, I'm now sleeping through all my lunch breaks!
Plus the tomato cravings are getting silly...I'm eating fried tomatoes everyday (2 weeks and counting) I need them!!!!

Does tomatoes mean boy or girl????

MummyLovesSadie · 09/03/2010 21:19

I have my second scan tomorrow, eek!

loueytbg · 09/03/2010 21:56

Hermya fab news. You must be so pleased.

MummyLovesSadie good luck tomorrow.

Hi Salander - add yourself to the list

Vikks - GP told me no swine flu jab until the 2nd trimester. I am going to wait and see. I think there is much less of it around and its probably going to get less as it warms up. If we have another outbreak I will get it done.

Floozie I think you have to decide. Everyone is different. I am finding it much harder keeping it a secret this time round and so we told at just over 8 weeks whereas I waited until nearly 12 last time.

Jennimoo I'm sorry you are having such stress over moving. It will get sorted but you have to keep hassling solicitors.

Seashells - they won't attempt to listen to the HB that early on. Its hard to find it even at 12 weeks. Just didn't want you to go along to your midwife appointment and be disappointed.

I had booking in appt this morning which was fine - blood pressure is low which is good because I had pre-eclampsia last time. Have now got a date for my nuchal scan (22nd March) and hopefully then I can tell the world. The midwife wants me to have a glucose tolerance test later on because I'm over 35. I'm so not looking forward to that...

There, I'm on it too.

Hermya, great news about your scan, meant to say that earlier.

Louey, I'm finding it much harder to be controlled this time, even though I've only known for three days! This evening in work, I found out my colleague is almost 12 weeks and I was dying to tell her my news. I (wo)manfully resisted. However it made me think my head of department is going to have a busy time this autumn filling maternity leave (hopefully!!!!).

I was wondering about swine flu jab too. I'm supposed to be taking DS for it if we want to. I'm more inclined to do it now because of PG. We kept him off nursery yesterday and today because there is quite a virulent stomach bug going around, which obviously we didn't want him to get but I was quite worried about the thought of getting it at this stage. Bad enough feeling sick - apologies to those of you who are seeing the toilet on a regular basis. Every time I feel lousy (all the time?), I remind myself I haven't got it half as bad as some.

I've gone back to feeling slightly unreal about this now. Last night I read through the whole thread - took me hours! Was nice getting to know a bit more about you all, but really sad seeing the people who were so excited, then had mcs. Was a sobering and timely reminder not to get too fixated yet.

Nymphadora · 10/03/2010 08:14

I'm starting to feel more confident now 8 weeks seems to be a much safer point and much near to 12!

I had a very busy night finding loads of new rooms in my house, looking after talking babies and fighting evil by giving my army vampire powers using grapefruit.

SeaShellsOnTheSeaShore · 10/03/2010 08:50

loueytbg* I suspected as much - its just wishful thinking! I really want this pg to be 'viable', but I am remaining unemployed because of it (v long and dramatic story I will only bore you all with if I'm having a bad day lol) and want deciding not to job hunt right now to be the right decision iykwim?

salander welocome! Nothining like mucking up the list to get yourself noticed

floozietoozie unfortunately the reality of seeing others go through mc is sobering - and I really resent that happening. I envy others their excitement and positivity so please don't lose your own excitement!! I guess its all a lesson in the reality of it all - we are truely blessed to have a healthy baby at the end

vikks hope the second scan goes well!

Hermy I asked the GP re early scanning and they said my new nhs region doesn't do reassurance scanning I will ask the MW today but I seem to get a different answer from everyone. I certainly can't afford £100 + to do it privately.

AbFabT/Jenimoo aha, date buddies! So I am 9+6 today then? Thats gone so quickly I can't believe it! I'm not counting tis time (pfbness already disappeared lol) but am notorious at adding/subtracting weeks on a whim by accident. Apparently last time I was 14 weeks for 3 weeks. It seems to be the way baby brain manifests its self!

Nearly forgot, I have my dad visiting today aswell, so will be looking after 2 children instead of one and my first MW appt.

"Oh, my poor nerves!!!" ala Mrs Bennett....

Have a good day everyone

Nymphadora · 10/03/2010 09:56

Ok Spoke too soon, started getting stabbing pains when I took the kids to school so went to GP instead of work. Hopefully I'm being paranoid but he has referred me for a scan and now I am scared. I thought he would just say 'its only stretching' or something.
Apparantly they send the scan letter through to the hospital at lunchtime & I should hear this afternoon or tomorrow am.

SeaShellsOnTheSeaShore · 10/03/2010 10:18

Nymphadora hopefully its just your ligaments stretching or something similar. I hope they get you booked in ASAP x

Nymphadora · 10/03/2010 10:46

The logical bit of me says that but my worry was ectopic & thats what the GP wrote on the scan form.

Just had dh on the phone and am now crying cos he is sad.

I am never saying positive things again though its like a curse

dontstopmenow · 10/03/2010 10:56

Oh dear Nympadora, I am sorry that its not going so well at the moment. Hopefully all will be fine when they do the scan. Why dont you phone the hospital after lunch and see if they have the referral letter already so you can make an appt soonest.
Best thoughts going out to you.

Nymphadora · 10/03/2010 11:35

Dh suggested that. Think I will phone this afternoon as I will be useless waiting until morning!

Stabbing pains gone for a bit now (but haven't moved much either!) feel more bruised than anything. Just read somewhere else that you can get pains in line with your cycle for the first couple of months so maybe it was that?

DillyDora · 10/03/2010 11:36

Good luck Nymph hope all will be well.
xx

Meanbeansmum · 10/03/2010 11:45

Nymphadra. I'ven had an ectopic, I had hardly any pain until 8 weeks, before that I had sigificant bleeding on and off like prune juice. HAve you had any bleeding? I bet it's just ligaments. I hope you are ok, I know how you must be panicking. (hugs).

Well I've been for my booking bloods. My mw lied....1 tube my backside, it was 3!!!!!!!!!
