Well found out this morning that I am pg!! 3 weeks and 4 days so pretty early days yet though!

Been trying for a fair while but first month using OPKs so would highly recommend them.

Will introduce myself anyway - dh and I both 26 with a 17 month old ds. Am so excited to be pg again even though it was a bit of a rough ride last time around!

OP posts:

Ooh yes bras. I tried to put on a sports bra yesterday to go to yoga and it wouldn't do up anymore - this is going to get expensive. I can't beleive I have to spend money on such boring things such as bras, breast pads etc and I caught a glimpse of myself yesterday and I think I have new stretch marks already - surely that can't be right?

newgirl · 23/08/2005 10:22

I'm wearing a wired one right now! I reckon as long as it fits that must be ok? I wore bras in bed after my dd was born just to hold on the breast pads!!

desperatehousewife · 23/08/2005 10:28

newgirl - yes, so did I. I remember having to change my breast pad 14 times one night - eugh. Really not looking forward to all that again! Wonder if I can bind my breasts now to stop them producing any milk!!!!

munz · 23/08/2005 10:47

they say no to wired ones as they restict the milk ducts or something???

mine are a 34D (huge!) I wear a trinity they're about £20 not v flattering but at least with this bra my boobs arbn't around the ankles/resting on my belly like the other bra's. have to get another couple actually, our mum wears them as well and she's a 40DD I think the'y're excellent support last for ages as well. and no wired.

majormoo · 23/08/2005 13:16

just wanted to let you know we had terrible news from our scan. Baby had severe abnormalites(trisomy 13 it's called) and I had a termination on Friday.

It's been like living in a horror film. We are totally grief-sticken.

Anyway am going to post for some advice to see how other people have coped with this.

Good luck with your pregnancies.

Lizzylou · 23/08/2005 13:25

Majormoo, I am so so sorry to hear this, I really am.
My thoughts are with you and your family xxx

munz · 23/08/2005 13:56

StarryEyed · 23/08/2005 15:02

Majarmoo

I am so very sorry to hear about your loss. My thoughts are with you and your family.

Just wanted to report that I had my nuchal scan today. Baby is fine and the down's risk was reduced a great deal by the nuchal scan so pleased by that. I have been given a new due date of 13 March - I seem to be going backwards! So I am 11 + 1 today. Off on holiday tomorrow. Will catch up when I get back

desperatehousewife · 23/08/2005 17:21

oh majormoo - i'm so so sorry for your loss. it must be terrible. I cannot imagine. Please take care of yourself.

x

Cadmum · 23/08/2005 17:24

marne · 23/08/2005 19:42

sory to hear of your loss majormoo, my thoughts are with you!

10 minutes after writing my last post on here i started bleeding again (fresh blood and alot of it), i phoned my gp straight away, was told to phone him back this morning as the early pregnancy clinic wasnt open, anyway still waiting for a scan as they could'nt scan me today as i was still bleeding, bleeding has now stoped but i still have a pain down one side of my stomach. I have to phone gp in the morning so he can arange a scan asap. Realy woried as there was alot of blood compaired to my last bleeds. Im getting myself ready for bad news tomorow but also holding out a little hope that it will be ok.
Will let you all know how i get on tomorow, fingers crossed it will all be ok.

Frizbe · 23/08/2005 19:57

Marjamoo, soo sorry for your loss {{{big Hugs}}}
Marne, I really hope things are going to be ok for you {{{{Big Hugs also}}}}}

Munz, I'm gona let you start the new thread! (call me lazy!)
Can you beleive bloody Sainsburys, popped in today for my fix of chick pea dhal, oh boy do I get the weird cravings, and they've stopped doing it!!! argh!!!! have sent mum on a mission to her nearest Morrisons to find out if they have any in! what am I going to do???? could always resort to Tesco if I get desperate, but what if they don't have any????

desperatehousewife · 23/08/2005 20:14

Munz - keeping everything crossed. This is such a stressful time isn't it? Let us know how you get on. Make a hot water bottle and really relax infront of some rubbish telly and try and take your mind off it. Will be thinking of you tomorrow morning.

xxxxxxxx

munz · 23/08/2005 20:23

dhw - I'm fine hon it's marne. good luck for tomorrow honney, fingers crossed for you.

Friz - do u mind if I wait till next weds then and i'll start a new one after my scan? - that's if the rest of u don't mind? I think there's a fair few of us with scan's next week/hitting the 12 week point.

DH's BF just been over bless him - he's got about 3 girls on the go at the minute! lol. make's me chuckle! he's deciding now does he go see the new g/f (who's ill) and take care of her, or does he go and see ex g/f for a bit of last time fun as she's moving to dubi! - the choices eh! - think DH was a bit put out by my responce of well diff post codes - not cheating followed by well if you're not going out and only seeing her it's not cheating - all stuff I must add I wouldn't do but on his mentality it's about right! lol - MEN!!

swiperfox · 23/08/2005 20:24

So sorry to hear your news majormoo What an awful thing to have to go through. Hope you are getting lots of rest and looking after.

Marne - everything crossed for you x

DHW - Am soooooooo glad to see I am not the only one who looks 6 months pregnant already!! I've got mat jeans already because i can't bear anything across my belly and caught sight of my reflection today - what an awful sight it was!!!!

desperatehousewife · 23/08/2005 21:16

God Munz - really sorry. Jelly brain is not serving me well at moment!

Agree with new thread next week.

Swiper - been in mat jeans since 6 weeks preg .

Still can't eat properly - literally living on granary toast and marmite and cornflakes at the moment (oh, and a decent coffee every morning!)

swiperfox · 23/08/2005 21:22

lol am only about 6 weeks-ish
Also living on marmite and granary toast!! Everything else makes me feel sooooo sick. Poor dp is starving - I can't bring myself to buy any food!!

desperatehousewife · 23/08/2005 21:26

swiper I'm the same - poor dh is wondering why there is no food in the house.

Iv'e decided that I'm going to be so enormous and grotesque by xmas that I am hibernating after xmas for the last 3 months. I'm doing what the celebs do - not going to be seen out and am going to hide at home under a large poncho.

!

Lizzylou · 24/08/2005 09:35

DHW, I already am gigantic....am expanding at a rate of knots...just got in touch with an old schoolfriend who found out she was having triplets (now 3 months old) at 9 weeks and am worried....my belly is soo huge, surely there must be more than one bean in there????

Agree with waiting til next week, my scans on Wednesday and won't really believe alls ok until then.....

munz · 24/08/2005 09:35

think i'm abnormal then, all my clothes are still fitting the same, don't appear to ahve put weight on (maybe just on the boobs) hardly felt sick - food controlled, only went off of fried food for a few weeks and lived on salads/light meals for that time, and so far only real craving has been for grapes/milk - drinkin loads of milk of late. bit worried now, still they heard the heart so i'll thank my blessing I think could have been a lot worse so far.

Lizzylou · 24/08/2005 09:37

MUnz, you just sound lucky!!! With DS I put on weight early, but not this much!
A friend of mine who always had a tendency to put on weight, only put on 1 stone 1/2 throughout whole pregnancy, saw her at the weekend and she is smaller than she was when she was 18, cos of the breastfeeding!

swiperfox · 24/08/2005 09:39

Don't worry Munz I was like that with DD - had no sickness, no cravings, nothing!!

Unfortunately with DS i got double the amount of everything - and again this time!

munz · 24/08/2005 09:45

is there any relation then to what sex u're carrying as to the symptoms etc u get?

swiperfox · 24/08/2005 09:48

I think there is in some of it..... like with dd i wanted sugar all the time. I got told off for having too much sugar from eating bounty bars! With ds everything was savoury. I also put on 4 stone with dd
(probably the chocolate!) and this time i feel huge already so i'm reckoning on a girly
