Well found out this morning that I am pg!! 3 weeks and 4 days so pretty early days yet though!

Been trying for a fair while but first month using OPKs so would highly recommend them.

Will introduce myself anyway - dh and I both 26 with a 17 month old ds. Am so excited to be pg again even though it was a bit of a rough ride last time around!

Well I went to the quacks today and they have me dated at either 28th feb 2nd March or 4th March, depending on what my cycle was doing for that month!!! tee heee....
I have my booking in apptmt on 20th July, with MW and I was very and nicely surprised to find out they've introduced a dating scan at our local hospital (that of desperate midwives fame) so I get to see my beanie twice! this time (with dd it was just the 20 wk scan) so feeling all excited now

Chamomile · 30/06/2005 14:29

Me too
I tested positive this morning. Only day 29 but I felt sick on the way to school so did a test and couldn't believe my eyes. I've been ttc for 2 years following a mc and had just about given up. I'm 41 and this will be number 3

anchovies · 30/06/2005 14:37

Congratulations chamomile! What a fantastic surprise

Good news about your extra scan Frizbe (at least you'll get an official date as well!) I'm going for an early one next week and can't wait, it's so exciting isn't it, I didn't feel like it was real last time until I saw his little heart beating away!

Feeling very sick now and boobs the size of footballs, dh thinks it's hilarious!

well done chamomille and welcome to the thread! although its rather quiet at the mo, a few of us are lurking on feb as well, as we're not sure where we really belong!

anchovies, know what you mean re boobs!

toothyboy · 30/06/2005 21:31

Me too! I'm due March 1st with No2! Haven't seen a midwife yet and am not planning to until about 8 weeks - unless I sense anything wrong. No symptons yet, although I didn't have any last time either apart from the extreme tiredness at about 6 weeks (due to kick in soon then!). I'm hoping for some fab cravings this time as didn't get any last time - I was robbed!! Anyway congrats to those here already and also to all those joining us over the next few weeks!

Frizbe · 30/06/2005 22:11

Hi toothyboy! personally I wouldn't have bothered the quack either, but they wouldn't book me for the midwife, until I'd seen the quack, local policy apparently....

munz · 01/07/2005 09:25

me to (sheepishly waits at the door) due 11th march dr's next friday, had a M/C at 5 weeks last cycle so am v v nervous about this one but done 8 tests (mainly CB digital and norm) all were pos! YAY!!!! feeling sickish not sure if it's nerves thou so i'll jsut stand by the door incase until i've seen the dr.

Chamomile · 01/07/2005 10:10

Congratulations, Munz!
I understand about being nervous as I had a MC 2 years ago and am afraid to get my hopes up too much. I'm due march 7th

Frizbe · 01/07/2005 14:20

Munz, sooooo happy for you, and now Rom as well

munz · 01/07/2005 14:22

I know I thought she'd be over by now (might be being cautious) I can't wait till I go to the dr's on friday. but 8 + tests can't be wrong thou can it??

Frizbe · 01/07/2005 14:22

It sure can't hon! roll on March!

munz · 02/07/2005 10:09

well tested again today and it was another BFP so that's 9/9 + now so i'll stop till fri as that's our apt. still watching every ache and pain thou v nervous still.

does anyone else feel really sick thou at only 4 weeks (althou some of the online calenders say i'm 5 but don't know how they work that one out?)

Frizbe · 02/07/2005 11:47

I'm getting the odd wave of nausea Munz and have been since the sunday before I found out, so that wasn't even 4 weeks!

spacecadet · 02/07/2005 17:37

gatecrashing to say congrats to munz-you must have spent a fortune on preg tests!

Chamomile · 02/07/2005 18:29

I've been feeling sick already at 4 weeks. Have you told anyone yet? I've not even told DH .I wanted a few days to get used to the idea first.

munz · 02/07/2005 18:42

lol, I told Dh the same day as I wanted him to see the line as well! lol.

sc - thanks honney only about £30! lol, (althou that was for 5 CB ones!) i'm stopping now1 - she says! lol, (i'm addicted to seeing both the lines thou!)

Frizbe · 02/07/2005 20:12

Lol Munz, you'll still be testing in the delivery room if you don't stop soon, I wonder if there's a support group for your addiction

Chamomile, I've been feeling queasy too, although 5 weeks, best thing is to just try and eat, to keep bloody sugars up, thus you shouldn't feel as sicky....

I've told dp and my mum! who just huffed at me when I told her, she needed to definately get bunkbeds for the kids to stay in now

munz · 03/07/2005 09:04

friz - he he he course I will be! lol, one test left then i'm stopping cos CP is having the other two - should I start and addicted to POAS support group? lol.

cham - looks' like we're the sickies then? lol. mini cheeders seem to help me the cheesy ones, (mini choccy bars thou don't - doh!) am trying to cut back on the choc/caffeen friz - but er well basically i'm a chocoholic so it's hard! lol.

I'm feeling v v sick today - I had a v v little amount of wine (lambrini so bacisally flavoured lemonade) in all was about 3/4mouthfuls of wine with the rest of the glass as lemonade, but I feel like i've been on a major session! did any of you girls have that? after one glass I had to go onto the tea cos I felt woozy! (such a light weight!) cheap date thou! he he.

hope everyone's OK. anyone heard from anchovies?

toothyboy · 03/07/2005 15:36

I've only told dp and you guys so far! We're going to leave it as long as we can get away with it this time, cos I'm not one for all the fussing that goes along with it! Also I know mil will go on and on about it to ds and he's too young to understand - I don't want to explain it to him until I'm about 6 months.

munz · 03/07/2005 15:38

tb - how r u going to manage not seeing the m/w till 8 weeks? i'd be going spare! lol. how far r u now?

toothyboy · 03/07/2005 15:44

I'll be 6 weeks on Wednesday - I just can't see the point in going to see the mw! I'm quite laid back about it all really, I've done a positive test, so I know I'm pregnant and unless anything seems wrong I don't see any rush!! As far as I remember the first significant thing that happens is the scan which was at about 12 weeks last time, so there's plenty of time for all that!!!

majormoo · 03/07/2005 18:34

I've told my sister and one friend, but am hoping to keep it secret from everyone else til after the scan. Not sure if we will be able to keep to that though-last time we ended up telling everyone much earlier.

I am 6 weeks tomorrow and the dreadful tiredness has hit me today. Just want to sleep!

Chamomile · 03/07/2005 19:26

I'm not in a hurry to tell my mother or mil! I dont think there will be much support from that quarter. I'm sure they will think I'm too old and should have stuck at 2.

RosiePosie · 03/07/2005 19:27

I'm six weeks tommorrow too. The nausea and tiredness has taken over the last couple of days, although I seem to be coping with it better this time. I think it's just that I have to, with a four year old and a 19 month old to run around after! We haven't told anyone and we're not planning to for atleast another 2 or 3 weeks. I'm also not contacting the MW for a few weeks either. I don't feel in any hurry to get " into the system"

munz · 03/07/2005 19:29

we've told the parents my mum's really supportive with the get ot the dr's and get checked out after the 2 m/c's, MIL keeps saying to look after 'our' baby - could pose a problem?
