I am so so so hot!!! I am sticking to my leather chair as I type this!!

Piggiesmum · 23/06/2005 20:21

rofl fastasleep and mp.

Anyone getting annoyed with people at work moaning about the heat, and thinking to yourself - "Oh stop whining, you should try being hot AND pregnant" or is it me just being hormonal

bonniej · 24/06/2005 09:42

YAY! managed to get through the whole night without having to get up for a wee. I feel so refreshed today for having a night of unbroken sleep, and hooray it seems to be a bit cooler here

was watching telly last night when she kicked me and my whole belly moved over to one side, dh saw it as well. It makes it seem more real when you can see the kicks from the outside! I really can't wait to meet this little one and can't stop wondering what she's going to look like. We also thought we'd decided on a name for her, but we always had a little doubt and have changed our minds. We are now calling her Ruby with Jean as her middle name (it was my mums name). We are both really happy with this choice so won't be changing our minds again! (unless they've got the sex wrong of course)

I hope it's cooler for the rest of you today, we can be 'warm' bumps today instead of hot ones!

NOT FAIR!

sitting in shorts and vest top for about the 8th day running.... jess has the only fan we own in her room at the moment coz she's having a nap, and I WANT IT!

Jockey · 24/06/2005 09:59

Feels a little cooler here as well but still feeling queasy! Gather there's a heatwave to come in July/Aug - just what we need. This is the first time I've got to get through the whole summer as my others were born in July & Aug - that'll teach me! Unfortunately no sign of preg pervs here but did have a rather embarrassing dream about Colin Firth last night .

jessicasmummy · 24/06/2005 10:00

NO NOT A HEAT WAVE PLEASE!!!

I had jess end of july last year, that was bad enough - who's idea was this to go all summer pg?!

Elf1981 · 24/06/2005 12:32

Ref Heat Wave - August is supposed to be one of the hottest on record this year. So I feel sorry for my work mate who is due in August. At least we wont be 9 months pregnant at the time!

It's lovely and rainy and thundery today. I looked like a little loony on the way to work this morning, grinning and skipping in the rain! Yesterday had an awful time getting home. Usually get a lift with DH but had to catch the bus, and the 5 minute walk from the busstop to my house was awful, had to keep stopping and resting, and taking little baby steps as I couldn't cope!

Got a wedding reception to go to this evening, DH's cousin is getting hitched, and I'm not looking forward to having loads of DH's relatives patting my tummy. I am pleased with my bump, and am loving being pregnant (despite the heat) but people need to BACK OFF!!

triceratops · 24/06/2005 12:53

I love thunder. We are having a big storm, it really clears the air.

I was very grumpy yesterday as dh took the afternoon off to go and sit in a pub garden with his mates and left me with a ratty three year old. I was soooooo jealous. Strange preg hormones making me irrational. I spend most afternoons sitting in gardens with cups of tea with my mates while our kids play.

LOL at naughty Colin Firth dreams. I always seem to have them about totally unattractive and unsuitable men like Tony Blair (yuck, yuck, yuck) I would swap for Colin Firth or preferably Hugh Jackman (Mmmmmmmmm)

CPT · 24/06/2005 13:05

Hi all - We've got the storms too now! Still hot and sticky weather though - hope this will clear it! I am at home today - got caught up in the GNER train fiasco last night my 1hr trip home turned into 6hrs! Hmmmm how hot and cross was I!!!?** My kind boss let me work at home today. Better get on with it I guess!

Spk soon
CPT xx

alterego · 24/06/2005 13:09

Desperately waiting for the storms here skies are really grey but it's still hot and humid - ankles and feet so puffy that I have to put them in cold water before I can get my shoes on

Where is everyone who is getting rain? It is still sunny here in Brighton and seems to be getting hotter and there is not a cloud in the sky - and all my customers keep saying it is going to pass us by - I don't think I could cope

fastasleep · 24/06/2005 15:58

Been raining all day in Liverpool, but it's getting muggier and muggier, I'm finding it quite hard to breathe!

I have been fine all week but now it is just getting bad, the thermometer in the shop now says 80 - Excessive Heat and that has the fan blowing on it. - and people coming in and saying how cool the shop is!!!!

fastasleep · 24/06/2005 16:02

fastasleep · 24/06/2005 16:03

It will cool off...it *will... maybe not in Brighton though, it's never cloudy in Brighton

Lexie100 · 24/06/2005 16:12

Jockey · 24/06/2005 16:14

Heavy rain, thunder & lightning just started here (Herts). Phew. Hope it brings some relief.
