Oooh yes Moomin that's the best feeling isn't it, the moment where you look into their little wrinkly baked potato face and think 'aww it was you' sniffle

nervousmum2be · 03/08/2005 10:11

I can't wait to meet my new arrival either! Only 7 weeks to go (by the C-section date)....And yes, i too sit there all night marvelling at the internal wriggling going on

Anyone else getting really out of breath? It's worst when i've been walking about lots / going up stairs, but my friend mentioned that i sounded really out of breath just having a conversation with her the other day! Also, finding it really uncomfortable to sit down for long periods as it feels like Baba is squashing into my lungs. Hmmm, maybe i should just take to my bed for this last stretch

Really glad everyone's respective family members are doing well. Keep healthy x

Definately just take to your bed lol! I get the lung thing too and the breathlessness, there's no room for our internal bits and bobs anymore, it's all baby! (This feeling gets worse before it gets better!)

Hi all,

Glad to hear that you're suffering the same symptoms as me, at least it isn't just my imagination!

I'd originally planned to work to end of week 38, but have seriously had to re-consider. It's not a long walk from the bus stop to work, but it is taking it out of me everyday. Luckily DH picks me up most evenings so it's only the hardship in one direction! I'm getting so tired in the middle of the day, and struggling to concentrate, which is going to be hard as they've finally got somebody to cover my job, but I'm training them at end Aug / beginning of Sep and I'm not sure I'm going to be any use!

DH is stressing and is being rather sweet and annoying by insisting that I give up work on the 19th Sept rather than the 30th Sep as planned. He wants me to be able to sit, chill and relax. Or drive myself crazy with nothing to do! Just taking it as it comes at the moment.

Hopefully Boo wont be in extended breech when I see midwife next - starting to panic that the baby isn't going to move and I'm going to have to have a C section. I drempt this would happen, but I didn't realise there was a possiblity of it coming true!!

Knackered and crabby here too ... puffing and panting all the time. Feel like a blob.

SO tired today REALLY can't be arsed with my two year-old, I can't sit down for two seconds without having to get up again for water/a cloth/a hanky/a toy - I want to curl up and sleep but I don't get a chance. Feck.

ButtonMoon · 03/08/2005 12:39

Being kicked loads and having the breathless thing too. Night times arent too bad just difficult to get comfy again when I wake up several times a night!!! Walking and standing up for long periods is now becoming difficult and I have to take regular sit downs to recover. But the worse thing is the bowels situation...just feel like I need a big poo all the time and like my insides are all squashed (suppose it's like constipation but I can go ) Oh well 10 weeks to go.........

BigBumpBonnie · 03/08/2005 14:29

Jockey, fourth deliveries aren't always bad! My sis has had four and the last one was a walk in the park (well, that's not quite how she put it, but much easier than the others). I've been told the third one's the worst and that's this one for me. I DEFINATELY won't see a fourth, trying to talk dh into doing the sensible thing and permantly solving our contraception problem but he's not too keen I think I might give him a chance to recover from his recent stay in hospital before I start wearing him down again.

Glad everyone else seems to be doing ok. morningpaper,I agree about how hard it's getting looking after a 2 year old. She doesn't let me sit down for a minute without asking for something and it is really tiring. I feel a bit guilty for not having the energy to do all the stuff I used to do with her. I am constantly breathless and get exhausted just doing small bits of housework. Last night the baby was kicking so much I really thought she was trying to get out, it was a very strange feeling! Anyway speak soon, and I am also guilty of ironing baby clothes

Jockey · 03/08/2005 15:03

Hi, thanks for that reassurance BBB. All the other mums with 4 I know have had a set of twins, so have only had 3 deliveries as such. Although I have just discovered that my Next courier lady has 4 and she was fine too! (Do you find you end up chatting to people all day about pregnancies, deliveries etc. when they notice bump?) By the way, my third was a dream. Stayed at home in the bath, almost left it too late to get to hospital. By the time I got there, overjoyed when the mw told me to start pushing straight away - the whole thing under an hour. (Dh was under strict instructions to ask for an epidural which he duly did bless him! I wasn't able to speak to tell him it was too late.)

Oh morningpaper I'm getting like that - I just can't be arsed with my 3 year old. He just keeps ON bless him and has days when he won't settle to anything - it is getting a little easier though I must admit. Also trying to break up the various fights that are occurring as a result of the school holidays. Roll on September.

I still love the feeling of dd2 kicking me too and know it will be my last time... so must try and enjoy!

Joseyjo · 03/08/2005 16:24

well, everyone sounds like they are mostly enjoying themselves with relatively minor discomforts!!
I am back into wierd and wonderful dream land (don't get to excited - those of you who remember my porn dreams from a few months ago!!! ) this time i dreamt the entire birth and the few days afterwards. wierdly, it was a natural birth (v quick and painless obviously!) when i know i am going to have a c-section, and then i FORGOT i wanted to breast feed (duh!) and my husband was too upset to remind me. a not very close friend moved in and took over everything and even suggested that we give undiluted apple juice to a 2 day old baby because "it didn't look like it fancied milk"?!!!! analyse that.....

anyway, i have had the afternoon off today and achieved NOTHING, so i better go and attack the washing pile which seems to grow daily. i know i know that will only get worse!
take care everyone and keep smiling...
