Hi Girls - so here we all are and so far so good (fingers and toes crossed and wheelbarrow loads of baby dust abounding)

Thought I would start a new thread (new name too) as babies being found out about now will just about be into March so we are no longer the absolute newbies which feels good!

So maybe we should collate all our due dates(any one had a dates scan yet??)

Keep it up!

Just a quick up-date, Pops got out of hospital this morning and is resting at home. Has managed to keep some food down over the last couple of days, and is feeling a bit brighter all in all, no doubt she'll be on at some point to say hi!

TicTac · 28/06/2005 12:31

Hi Ladies,

Just back from the hospital. Everything is OK!!! There is a nice healthy environment for the baby and no signs of any bleed which means it hasn't come from the pregnancy. It was so great to see little tictac and the heart beating away at a rate of knots!

Thank you all so much for your kind words and support! I have my fingers crossed that all will go well now!

Jua... I live in Horwich so am about 10 mins away! When are you due?

JuA · 28/06/2005 12:38

I am so pleased everything is OK tictac. I am due Feb 9th. I lived in Horwich when I first moved to the North West in 1996. I am now living in Higher Wheelton - a village just North of Chorley.

TicTac · 28/06/2005 12:39

Hi Jua, how fantastic, someone local. We only moved here last July so I have not gotten to know too many people yet.

womba1 · 28/06/2005 12:40

Fantastic news Tictac x

spacecadet · 28/06/2005 12:44

yay! great news tictac, hope you can relax a bit more now
everything great for me, little bean measures 6 weeks 6 days, so puts me out by only couple of days but not enough to change my due date, i have a little pic!

spacecadet · 28/06/2005 12:45

oh and good friend of mine has phoned up today and told me she is preg too!, about 5 weeks, it wasnt planned but shes really pleased, it will be her third, so i will have company

TicTac · 28/06/2005 12:45

Thanks space and great news for you too! I can't stop looking at my little picture..scan puts me at 7+4 so a wee bit behind but nothing to loose sleep over!
I am still coming back down to earth but yes... I hope to relax a bit now!

flamesparrow · 28/06/2005 12:47

Awww, I love reading this thread!

You're all warm and fuzzy, and I'm a tad emotional.

Savannah · 28/06/2005 12:50

glad all your scans went well. I am having mine next week.

spacecadet · 28/06/2005 12:54

i cant stop looking at mine either tictac

flamesparrow · 28/06/2005 12:58

Do all you get early scans as standard?

When I was pregnant with DD the only scan we got was the 20 week one - I got an early one because of a car crash and HG, but they aren't standard.

TicTac · 28/06/2005 12:59

No flamesparrow. Some have paid to have a private scan (great way to know everything is ok) but I had quite a bleed last night so was referred for an early scan assessment this morning. I know some people have an early scan if there have been previous pregnancy issues too.

flamesparrow · 28/06/2005 13:01

Ahhh! Thought I'd just chosen the wrong area to live in!

Tabs · 28/06/2005 13:39

Yeah for TicTac and Spacecadet!

SO pleased that it's good news all round. I think we might be a very lucky thread .

Tabs · 28/06/2005 13:40

Popmum - whereabouts on Herts/Essex border are you? We lived in Broxbourne until a few years ago and got married in Nazeing - guess we must have been close!

hotmama1 · 28/06/2005 13:47

Bloody Hell - there's been a lot of posting in the last few days!

Hello to all the newies and welcome.

Frizbe - yep I'm in Nottingham so thanks for updating the thread - looks like I'm still the oldest.

Flamesparrow - the first scan you get is at 20 weeks? I had a dating scan last week and will probably have another one at 14 weeks ish - I did with dd - think this is because of my age? (Even though I will be having a scan when I have my CVS at 11 weeks +) I then get the detailed scan at 20-22 weeks - am I just lucky?

Luckily, I don't seem to be feeling sicky anymore but am reallllly hungry all the time.

Hope everyone is fine - and congrats on all the good news scans.

hotmama1 · 28/06/2005 13:48

Forgot to say - Lexy B (38) and DH (29) = RESPECT

flamesparrow · 28/06/2005 13:54

Things might be different now (that was nearly 3 years ago).... Think Bournemouth are just stingy though.

Bubu · 28/06/2005 14:13

Tabs - thanks for that!! It's all a bit confusins - even though it's second time round!!! Had a miscarraige in Nov '04 so am not counting my chickens yet!! Hope everyone else is well!!

RachelRog · 28/06/2005 14:26

So pleased scans went well girls!!!!

Spacecadet.....had everything crossed for you and chuffed it all turned out well!

All these positive scan stories give me hope for mine in.....oooo......lets see......2weeks today!!!

RosiePosie · 28/06/2005 14:36

When I lived in Southampton with my first two, I only got a 20 weeks scan, it's a very looong time to wait for reassurance that all is okay. Now on the Island I think I get a 12 week one too, which is very exciting for me.
