Hi Girls - so here we all are and so far so good (fingers and toes crossed and wheelbarrow loads of baby dust abounding)

Thought I would start a new thread (new name too) as babies being found out about now will just about be into March so we are no longer the absolute newbies which feels good!

So maybe we should collate all our due dates(any one had a dates scan yet??)

Keep it up!

I'm so so so so tired.

Most of you should know who I am, but I'm not allowed to officially tell til Friday til my sister knows...

I cracked

hotmama1 · 28/06/2005 14:50

The only sis's I 'know' that regularly post on MN are Sparklymiaow and Misdee - and I remember one of them had a baby a few months ago - so I am looking forward to Friday as I don't know who our new member is going to be. (If it is one of these or someone new completely)

NotMeantToTellTilFriday · 28/06/2005 14:52

Lol... been on "Trying for a Feb baby" and winding them up lots.

As far as I know, my sister doesn't know about MN, but she has a habit of finding me (even though she has no children)

hotmama1 · 28/06/2005 14:54

Loking forward to being able to say "welcome officially on Friday - don't forget to post your stats!

Tabs · 28/06/2005 15:12

I knew it!! I knew it!!

Nearly posted on your old thread earlier to say I thought you were!

CONGRATULATIONS!!

NotMeantToTellTilFriday · 28/06/2005 15:15

Not going to be back on this thread (or the other) til Friday... Its all too bloody confusing changing names!!!

spacecadet · 28/06/2005 15:33

i think i know who you are...>

NotMeantToTellTilFriday · 28/06/2005 15:40

Already cocked up on another thread by posting in the wrong name !!!

angedemarche · 28/06/2005 15:41

TicTac: I am so delighted that everything went well for you today, a massive weight off your mind. So pleased for you.

Questions, when are you supposed to go for the booking appointment? and when do you get your first scan? and why am I to do nothing for another 4 weeks? is it just so that I don't get my hope up, just incase?

Im heading away for a few days so won't be around. Much love to you all.
Keep well
XxX

Tabs · 28/06/2005 16:00

D'oh - I was wrong! I had the right comment but for some reason thought it was someone else who had said it and has since disappeared (Trix1)!

But I definitely know who you are now!!

RachelRog · 28/06/2005 16:28

Do I know who??? No good at this sort of thing!

Just had a call from my m/w....my booking appt was in 2 weeks time....the day after my scan. I was a bit concerned that my m/w wouldn't book me before (with my mm/c she booked me at 7 weeks) I had my viability scan at nearly 9 weeks. Well she has just rung me up and brought it forward to tomorrow!! HURRAH!! Will feel all official then when I get my notes, etc.

Last time when I booked at 7 weeks though little beanie had already stopped growing! Hope she can reassure that it is unlikely to happen again.

kando · 28/06/2005 16:45

Rosieposie - I live "over the water" in Stubbington (or will do for another month or so before going out to Holland). I absolutely love the Isle of Wight (or "Grandma's Island" as we call it in this house as my in-laws live there). DH and I have plans to retire there ... if there is any more room for a couple of golden oldies! Where about on the Island do you live? (Sorry, being very nosey now!)

TicTac · 28/06/2005 16:46

Thanks to everyone for the messages...feels so great today. Rachelrog - when your beanie stopped growing, had you already had a positive heart beat on a scan? Good luck getting yourself "booked" in.

Aparantly because of my scan this morning, my 12 week will have to be cancelled and re-booked as a doctor has to be present, can't just be a midwife.... MW visit is still on the 26th July though.
YEY for everyones good news!

RachelRog · 28/06/2005 17:21

Tic Tac - no it was my first scan....I was 12 weeks but it had stopped developing at about 6 weeks! It was a bit of a shock as had no probs with ds and had no spotting or anything other than a bit of belly and backache which are symptoms of p/g anyway.

Everyone just said it was one of those things and there must have been something abnormal about the development but was a shock as both dh and I are very healthy people!

The heart had not even begun beating which makes me feel better as it never really got off the ground anyway! Still painful though!

Hoping the chances of it happening again are really slim and will cry with relief if it's little heart is beating away in 2 weeks time......apparently if the heart is beating at around the 7 weeks scan there is only a 3% chance of miscarriage (think it was Tabs who said that)

RosiePosie · 28/06/2005 17:26

We love it here too Kando . We moved over here two years ago, only from Southampton, because house prices were so much cheaper - they have risen since. We're in Cowes so that dh can commute to work in Southampton on the ferry. So peaceful and laid back here - like stepping back in time 30 yrs. A wonderful place to bring up the children.

TicTac · 28/06/2005 17:28

RR I have everything crossed for you then I really do. You must have been beside yourself.

You have to post to let us know what happens on your scan. I never knew that about the odds of MC once a heart beat has been detected...that's reassuring to hear. This seems to be a lucky thread and I have heard so many stories of of ladies who have been told it is unlikely they will conceive actually falling preg.. I think feb 06 might be a lucky month hun!

spacecadet · 28/06/2005 17:39

tabs- i know who it is, im sure!
rachelrog, keeping my fingers crossed for you for your scan in 2 weeks.
my booking appt is not until weds 13th july with the mw and im waiting on an appt from the hospital where i will need to see the consultant and have my 12 week scan at the same time.

spacecadet · 28/06/2005 17:40

oh and ange are you going anywhere nice???
havea lovely time.

Mama5 · 28/06/2005 17:55

Hi Girls, how are you all. I am feeling pretty sh*&y to be honest. every few days i have a tiny brownish bleed ( just when I wipe ) its so annoying. I had early scan last week which showed all good but the bleeds keep rearing their head every few days. I told the midwife at EPU and she said 'Just ignore it unless it worsens has pain or clots' which it definitely doesn't. to make it worse I am sickly and listless. Over tired...want to lie down - feel too sick to sleep. get up dont fancy anything. Just whingeing I know but hope you can empathise. If I were sure it was ok then I could take the awful symptoms better but it feels like the worst of both worlds!

can't believe how much you have all posted - first chance io have had to get on the computer in a couple of days. With 3 teenagers at home I have to book myself computer time once the baby is in bed but by then I have been too tired. Have had to go to bed really early and still tired all day.

Very jealous of all of you who have had scans but pleased you have all had good news. Fingers crossed for me - only got to wait till thursday morning to go back to EPAC to be rescanned and hopefully get a definite due date this time.

Am I the oldest on this thread then ?

Savannah · 29/06/2005 07:16

RachelRog · 29/06/2005 09:33

Morning Ladies

Feeling slightly nauseous this morning but not been sick...hurrah! Seem to feel better when I am at home....felt dreadful all day at work Monday so hoping not to feel like that tomorrow!

Seeing m/w this afternoon for booking in appt so looking forward to that.

What we have to put ourselves through!!!!

RosiePosie · 29/06/2005 09:40

Morning! I am 5 weeks 2 days and have no real symptoms to speak of yet. Hungrier than usual, slightly sore boobs, that's all. So, of course I am getting paranoid! I can't really remember with my first born, but with second born I was definately feeling sick by now and very tired. Can I have some reassurance please? When did you sickness begin? I won't rest easy until I feel like death, which is madness I know
