Hi Girls - so here we all are and so far so good (fingers and toes crossed and wheelbarrow loads of baby dust abounding)

Thought I would start a new thread (new name too) as babies being found out about now will just about be into March so we are no longer the absolute newbies which feels good!

So maybe we should collate all our due dates(any one had a dates scan yet??)

Keep it up!

LexyB · 23/06/2005 12:29

hi can i join this thred. Have been reading it for a couple of weeks since I had a BFP but was too scared to join in cos I had a m/c at 7 weeks in April and didn't want to tempt fate.
Have now decided to be positive. Had a scan on Tues to try and date pregnancy but could only see a gestation sac 4-5 week size so have to wait till next Thurs have another scan to find out.

Me 38
DH 29
dd 18
ds1 16
ds2 13
ds3 9 months

Mama5 · 23/06/2005 12:54

Great news Lexy and know what you mean about being nervous i had 3 healthy pg's then a m/c and it sure knocks your confidence!

Hi everyone,

Hve just caught up on how you are all doing. Am really glad to be part of this thread as I know you are all here for me if I need anything but not checking in everyday at the mo as this is my first pregnancy and it's making me nervous that things are going to go wrong.Sorry I'm not being more supportive but I feel I need to be in a bubble where everything is going to be fine and there are no bad things that can happen. Foolish I know but it is the only thing I can do to not burst into tears every hour.Am due 20th Feb so am 5+4. Won't be long now...

TicTac · 23/06/2005 14:30

has anyone had any cravings yet? Yet had an image of some turkey and cinnamon last night and the idea seemed gorgeous! Although I can't say I have "craved" it as such....think I am loosing the plot.
I have had like a dull headache down below on and off today...should I be concerned? Has anyone else had this?

Mama5 · 23/06/2005 14:37

Just want to know how far on i am...read this Unclearest Calendar yet! what do you think six or seven ( longest pregnancy ever and not begun yet!)

TicTac · 23/06/2005 14:41

Hi Mama5...bless this must be really frustrating. Do you know the last day of your period or even the actual day you conceived?

Mama5 · 23/06/2005 14:42

Yes Tic Tac 05/05/2005 and now I go to babycentre and... stranger still

OP posts:
TicTac · 23/06/2005 14:45

mama5 you are 5 days behind me and I am 7+6 (or in other words 8 weeks pregnant) so you are 7+1...you can still call yourself 8 weeks pregnant.

I prefer to count the 7+ days rather then in weeks unless I am asked outright "how many weeks are you" it just makes me feel more on top of actual development.

I hope this helps!?!?

Tabs · 23/06/2005 15:07

Tic Tac - you can't be 7+6!! I am 7+6 and due 2 days before you, so you're 7+4!! (Or did I put your due date down incorrectly on the list?)

TicTac · 23/06/2005 15:41

Tabs.. I am definatly 7+6 and definatly due 5th feb according to the doc...

TicTac · 23/06/2005 15:42

and I can't be 7+4 we know the actual date of conception to within 24 hours.

Tabs · 23/06/2005 16:02

How odd! I was charting so also know my date of ovulation, and fertility friend has been counting for me ever since!

What ov date did you have? Maybe your doc did a rough calc (my doc's are always very approx!) and you should actually be 3rd like me?

I ov'ed on Friday 13th (13 has always been my lucky number!!). How does that compare to you?

TicTac · 23/06/2005 16:33

Tabs I am 13 or 14...looks like we are the same time then hun.

teuch · 23/06/2005 16:42

all very confusing...I have decided I don't know where the hell I am!! MW dates different from BBC, which are different from Babycentre, which are different from mine!

Oh well, mini-teuch will decide when he/she decides to make the grand entrance anyway

For the record...I think I am about 8+4 ?!?!

teuch · 23/06/2005 16:43

ps - very close to being sick today - had to go to work bathroom - but still no banana!

Why am I wishing this on myself...?

Mama5 · 23/06/2005 17:24

Teuch whats MW then? is it somewhere else I can go to get a different date!

OP posts:
Tabs · 23/06/2005 17:41

MW = midwife!!!!!!!!

Tabs · 23/06/2005 17:45

Didn't say welcome to Lexy earlier - welcome and congrats! I also missed Morgan's message the other day - sorry Morgan and welcome!

Kyliefan - hope your bubble is nice and protective, and you just come out of it when you feel ready.

JuA · 23/06/2005 18:15

Dates are completley confusing!!! I reckon I am due 09/02 - that agrees with the bbc site ( and is definetely 40 weeks from date of LMP because I checked it in my diary cos I was working out when I could finish work)
My GP worked out the 12th Feb - but her computer worked out the 9th but then she said she didn't believe the computer and worked it out in her head - something like add 7 days, minus 3 months and add 1 year but that isn't 40 weeks!! I am sure the midwife will come up with something else!!

Mama5 · 23/06/2005 18:16

Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrrhhhhhhhhhhh!

Sorry teuchs have not spoken to one of them yet!

LexyB · 23/06/2005 18:43

Thanks for the welcome
Not sure of my date cos no time after the miscarriage for my cycle to get back to normal. LMP of 11/5/05 so EDD by dates of 15/2/06 so that should make me 6 + 1 today, but had a scan at EPAC on tues cos of previous m/c and that made me 4 - 5 weeks. Could not be more accurate as preg not far enough. Have to wait till next Thurs for another scan and then will know.
Its sure going to seem a long week.

Frizbe · 23/06/2005 19:17

Hi LexyB, this means I'm not the newest on here now nothing to report though girls, not feeling sick today, just hot and bothered, like the rest of you I suppose! so TTFN

LexyB · 23/06/2005 19:44

worried that not feeling much, but probably cos its too early. Will be glad when feel sick as its usually a sign of high hormone levels. Have done in all my previous pregnancies except the last.

in case anyone was wondering DH is not the dad of my eldest 3, and i forgot to put my step-daughter aged 9 on the list so altogether we have 5 children at home and this will be no 6!
Maybe now we really should get a 7 seater car.

RachelRog · 23/06/2005 20:14

Hello to Newbies!

No sickness yet for me either although I did feel a little queasy this morning........I will def feel preggers when I start puking!!! Do wish it would hurry!

Had to tell my manager at work today as they were trying to move me to work at another branch for one day a week ( I am an optician ). It would mean further to travel and I just don't want to as I need to keep life as stress free as poss whilst I am so early on! Felt really blue after I told her as wanting to keep it a secret! Then one of the other girls admitted she had overheard my 'discreet' conversation but she swore to keep it a secret!! So much for keeping it quiet!!

Mama5 · 23/06/2005 21:44

I have told one friend and that was only cos she asked me outright. Since then she has told me of at least three people she ' discreetly' mentioned it to and has quite obviously told more. Bloody annoying plus I have four kids and close friends that would be really hurt if they heared it elsewhere. Some people!
