Hi Girls - so here we all are and so far so good (fingers and toes crossed and wheelbarrow loads of baby dust abounding)

Thought I would start a new thread (new name too) as babies being found out about now will just about be into March so we are no longer the absolute newbies which feels good!

So maybe we should collate all our due dates(any one had a dates scan yet??)

Keep it up!

Fantastic Tabs!!! Adorable.... I think my little one must be stressed cos its mostly in the 170's and last night low 180's!

Flamesparrow · 13/07/2005 09:14

Anyone else's baby bearing the brunt of overactive pregnancy nose??

Poor DD is potty training and I'm constantly scrubbing her because she always smells wee-y. Everyone assures me that she isn't all stinky, but I can still smell it!!!!

Flamesparrow · 13/07/2005 11:13

Only ginger and lemon tea... tastes a bit strange, but works!

Flamesparrow · 13/07/2005 11:13

ON... not only!

TicTac · 13/07/2005 12:21

FS - well I know it is late now but congrats and have a fab honeymoon! Where are you off too?
I have not had an over active nose! I have a very clear sense of smell so I did worry it might get worse while I was pregnant but I have been relieved of that one!!

Flamesparrow · 13/07/2005 12:22

No idea... booking a last minute jobby over the next week.

TicTac · 13/07/2005 12:23

How exciting, I love bookng holidays. Do you want exotic, hot, special, standard, beach, ciy?

Flamesparrow · 13/07/2005 13:40

Anything with sun and water will so me.

I don't even care if it is sea water anymore... just a week in the sun next to a pool with no toddler sounds like heaven!

spacecadet · 13/07/2005 14:14

hope everyone is ok, i have an ear infection and feel a bit sorry for myself at the mo.

kando · 13/07/2005 14:25

Hi everyone. Lots been happening over the past wee while, it's taken me a while to get caught up here! All well here, feeling a bit nauseous every now and then, but it's bearable - Jacobs crackers and butter do it for me, along with gallons of fizzy water! We will be on the move soon, the packers are coming on Monday to pack up all our stuff and get it shipped out to Holland. We don't arrive in Holland until 31st July though, so have a few days to spend with friends and family, no doubt shedding a few tears as well. I've got my nuchal scan next Wednesday, so fingers crossed all goes OK for that, although I'm seeing my m/w on Friday and am hoping that she'll have a little listen to see if we can hear the heartbeat. DDs being absolute little monsters at the moment, very naughty and really winding me up but I'm hoping it's going to pass.

Sympathy to everyone who's not feeling so great - hope Pops is feeling better soon too. Take care all - I'll be in again before they take my pc away next Monday ...

Frizbe · 13/07/2005 15:49

Good luck with the move Kando
Tabs glad you found the heartbeat ok
SC, oh hun your having a bit of a run of it, hope your feeling better soon.....
FS, Hope where ever you decide to go, that your feeling fab by then and have a fantastic time! We got married earlier this year and took dd and ss on honeymoon with us! looks like now, we won't even get a weekend to ourselves till the end of next year! so that'll be a very delayed extra type honeymoon for us!

YeahBut · 13/07/2005 16:37

Having a yucky couple of days but not pregnancy related. Shattered a tooth at the weekend and had to have it removed yesterday - very ouch!! And I can only have a couple of paracetamol to take the edge of - feeling sorry for myself!!

TicTac · 13/07/2005 16:38

Flamesparrow...we have a house in Cyprus and it is abeautiful country (Greek part) and it certainly has plenty of sun and water! We also went to Cannes in May if you where looking for a bit closer, was beautiful but expensive while we where there. If you fancy something a bit different, Toronto is very accessible with great airfaire from www.canadianaffair.com...no sea but plenty of the "Great Lakes"
I am sure wherever you go you will have a great time, you wont know what to do without your little one there!

TicTac · 13/07/2005 16:39

Spacecadet and Kando...you poor things! You both have the worst sort of pain because you can't even caress those areas I hope these help {{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}

Twiga · 13/07/2005 17:27

Much sympathy to everyone who's not feeling great in anyway. Nipping in again to let you know that unfortunately Popadopolis is back in hospital - potassium/sodium levels very low, looks like she'll be in for a couple of days on a drip again. Will keep you posted.

Frizbe · 13/07/2005 17:29

Oh poor popadopolis, {{{Big Hugs}}} going out to her....

Fs if your looking for venues for your honeymoon, Las Vegas would be great without the kids in tow!

teuch · 13/07/2005 18:05

aww Tabs...isn't it just fantastic?1 I have had a few sneaky listens and I'm getting a bit better at locating baby quickly...all the thumping noises help as baby seems to be on the move constantly

Hi everyone else, hope all is well...the sickness should be passing soon. Mine's all but gone...12 wks this weekend!

spacecadet · 13/07/2005 19:39

thanks tictac, poor pops, i sympathise as i had to go into hospital with ds2.

TicTac · 13/07/2005 22:30

Evening ladies, I am feeling very sorry for myself at the minute as have had major barf session tonight! Came out of the blue. I have not actually been sick so far just queasy and wretching all the time. I am over 11 weeks now...what am I thinking starting the chuck now!!!

Poor poor pops!!! Huge hugs go out to her

Flamesparrow · 14/07/2005 07:34

Huge hugs to Pops

I'm feeling like a giant pile of poo today. I've been so onvinced that I will fight my way through the sickness to go on honeymoon... today I'm feeling low and I'm not so sure.

I can see an October honeymoon at this rate!

3k · 14/07/2005 08:38

Morning ladies,

I am feeling really bad today, I have had two almost passing out sessions over the past two days and have a watery discharge with yellow in it (sorry TMI). My head is all over the place, not sure if it is the heat or something else. Can anyone advise? Going to call MW at 9am and see what she suggests

Frizbe · 14/07/2005 09:53

Oh 3k huge hugs, hope you get sorted out.

Hi to all and a very big thank you to who ever it was who recommended Ginger Ale, whooo hooo it works a treat, I feel virtually normall again, and trust me girls, I've been feeling like pap for the last two weeks!! THANK YOU!

ixel · 14/07/2005 13:45

Hello all. This thread is such a mixture of happy and sad, isn't it?
I feel very lucky that I've now had morning sickness about 4 times, thus proving to myself that perhaps its all true and I really am pregnant!
I really dont want to tell too many people before the scan, which is on 26th... but I 'm finding it harder and harder to keep quiet! Please give me some tips for letting it out of my system!! I'm even avoiding meeting friends, telling them I'm busy until after that date, because I dont want to sit through a get together without saying anything. I'm also having to slip out of things like eating and drinking 'off limits' things with crappy explanations, and everyone is wondering why I'm not surgically attached to my hipseat anymore for ds
I just feel that if anything was wrong, that will only be found out at the scan, I dont want to have to explain everything to loads of people.

3k · 14/07/2005 14:54

Hi all,

Just spoken to the midwife and my near fainting episodes are normal! she said that at 11 - 12 weeks your blood pressures starts to drop and if you are standing still for a while (which I was on both occassions) then you BP drops and makes you faint. She said if you are in a queue in a shop to shuffle from one foot to the other and have bottled water with you all the time. She said it gets better after week 13. Also with regards to the discharge apparantly baby is somersaulting on my cervix and that creates a little show which is normal!! So there you go, if anyone starts getting funny discharge or fainting you now know why.

Hope you are all ok in this heat, I'm off home shortly via Bluewater.

Hi Girls - had an actually ok day....wow! Not been to bed and not wretched once!!! Feeling oddly optimistic! At 10+3 could there be light at the end of the tunnel?

Any one else having nuchal ?
I am having a new 'admark' test with bloods at 10-13 and scan at 12. Nervous!! Any one else!?
