Hi Girls - so here we all are and so far so good (fingers and toes crossed and wheelbarrow loads of baby dust abounding)

Thought I would start a new thread (new name too) as babies being found out about now will just about be into March so we are no longer the absolute newbies which feels good!

So maybe we should collate all our due dates(any one had a dates scan yet??)

Keep it up!

Ah morning all, slightly queasy today, luckily not too bad, as dd had decided to take her nappy of in her cot this am, only it had a mound of poo in it......'mummy' she yells, I open door to pooey nappy being waved at me, whilst she is standing on one leg as other foot is covered in poo along with bedding ....if there was anything to make you barf it would be that me thinks, but I managed to hold it in....

TicTac · 11/07/2005 09:22

Morning all, hope you are all starting to feel better. I am not so good today

Has anyone had their midwife appointment yet or even the 12 week scan? I am curious as to what happens when the midwife comes to the house!?!?!

Mamatoto · 11/07/2005 09:22

Frizbe how old is dd? Our ds is 2 and 5 months and since taking him out of nappies in the day he does that all the time! Isn't it the pits! We call it ' dirty protest' what a lovely start to the day!

Ixel - I am due around the same time as you and apart from a bit of a bad patch end of last week I too am feeling better..its just this stage . i have a doppler so after a 'good' day ( no nausea) I pop on the doppler and its a relief! SO dont worry its just that yucky placenta relieving us of all this nausea and prego-ness!!

JuA · 11/07/2005 10:15

Mamatoto - when did you get ds out of nappies? I am hoping that dd will be potty trained by the time this one comes along. She is 19 months now - so will be about 26 months when the baby is born.
I have got my midwife coming on Wednesday - she managed to pick a day I was at work - but I decided it would be easier to pop home and then at least dd won't be around so we might be able to have a conversation. I got my paperwork the other day and they have changed my consultant - not happy about that as the one I had was lovely and would prefer not to have to get to know someone else - I am not sure if I can change back but I am going to ask.

Mamatoto · 11/07/2005 13:04

Jua My DS was 26 months when he came out but i trained my others earlier ( 19,20 and 24 months) it is nice to have it done by time baby no 2 comes.
What is your due date Jua - is that your booking in appointment?

RachelRog · 11/07/2005 13:12

Afternoon ladies....I have been really bad as I have not been posting regularly...

I have been so busy!! And so sicky!!

We have had an offer on our house which we are really happy about as it means we can put an offer on the house that we like!

I also have my scan tomorrow when I will find out if everything is going ok this time!

This time tomorrow I will be at the hospital.....think I will end up crying my eyes out either way. I am going with my mum as dh struggles to get away from work midday!

I hope everything is ok!!!

Tabs · 11/07/2005 13:14

OK, so my doppler arrived this morning. Had 2 goes so far, but only found my own heartbeat each time. Teuch and Mamatoto - did you find it easier with full/empty bladders and full/empty stomachs?

Am 10+3 today, so was hoping I might find it, as lots have even earlier than this.

Any more ideas on how to coax Chip out of hiding?!

Tabs · 11/07/2005 13:15

Good luck tomorrow RachelRog.

Mamatoto · 11/07/2005 13:18

The bloke told my dp that i was to put feet up and lie flat. I am 10 weeks and mine is very central and quite low ( but above knicker line) it does take a bit of time to learn....... I have empty bladder as was advised that the doppler will not go through a great depth of anything so the less thats between you and bab the better. Give up and go back in an hour - you will love it but it can take a bit of finding. Good Luck!

Flamesparrow · 11/07/2005 15:22

Tired, grumpy and feel very sick.

I see the midwife for the first time next Tuesday (19th).

I don't think the heat is helping with the feeling sick. I've found that the more I eat in the evening, the less likely I am to wake up feeling ill (I'm goig with the theory of my body having more to work on overnight), but last night I ate too much in my quest to feel well in the morning, and just ended up feeling sick in bed during the night instead

Flamesparrow · 11/07/2005 16:51

Anyone else's tummy changing shape at an alarming rate? I didn't show til about 16 weeks with DD (possibly due to the constant vomiting ), but already my flabby belly has turned into a rounded belly.... only 7 n a bit weeks.

MrsDoolittle · 11/07/2005 16:52

Snap again Flamesparrow!!

MrsDoolittle · 11/07/2005 16:52

When are you due?

Flamesparrow · 11/07/2005 16:54

24th - You?

We need another list thingy with everyone's stats

MrsDoolittle · 11/07/2005 16:55

21st

Flamesparrow · 11/07/2005 16:55

I lie - 23rd .... 24th is my sister's birthday so it sticks in my head more!

MrsDoolittle · 11/07/2005 16:57

Well I feel batter now about feeling so darn crap and sooo early on!

Flamesparrow · 11/07/2005 17:01

This is why we need threads like this - everyone can feel like crap together (and stone the people who are "blooming" ).

I have no idea how I got through the first time with no mums groups!!!

Mamatoto · 11/07/2005 20:49

Spent a baking afternoon ( post school) with lots of scantily clad girls and women at the local lido. Lovely but I felt frumpy and tired. felt like I wanted to explain why i looked so unattractive but of course could not! Roll on 12 weeks - the nuchal and the end of this lassitude!

Frizbe · 11/07/2005 22:36

Mamoto dd is 20mths, It's funny you should say that about potty training, as I was just thinking of giving it a go later on this week!

FS, Sorry about the sick in bed bit, its horrible feeling yukky isn't it....

Rachelrog good luck with the scan tomorrow.

angedemarche · 11/07/2005 22:56

Hi Folks,
ohhh a doppler sounds like a good investment, but I think my doctor might advise against getting one. I have a feeling that I wouldn't be able to put it down!!
It really is crap feeling crappy. And I agree that this hot weather is NOT helping!

Hope some of you ladies are feeling a wee bit better.
Anyone got any ideas to whether they are having a boy, girl or twins etc?
Don't know why, but I think we are having a boy! I am definitely going to find out this time round.
Love for now. XxX ADM

Mamatoto · 12/07/2005 08:58

Angedemarch what do have already? Did you find out last time ( are you glad you found out if you did )

The doppler is good and tho i have only had it a week I only use it for a second a day - just to check - I thought i would never put it down but I just use it for reassurance!
