Hi Girls - so here we all are and so far so good (fingers and toes crossed and wheelbarrow loads of baby dust abounding)

Thought I would start a new thread (new name too) as babies being found out about now will just about be into March so we are no longer the absolute newbies which feels good!

So maybe we should collate all our due dates(any one had a dates scan yet??)

Keep it up!

Morgan - I'm insanely thirsty and was all the way through with DD too. Always water. I'm not sure if my body is wanting pure stuff, or if its the only thing that still tastes the same!!!

TicTac · 08/07/2005 20:50

Thanks Tabs. We are now thinking about getting one...seems like there are lots of positive reports!

Flamesparrow · 08/07/2005 21:05

I'd be a nightmare with one, I'm sure I would, so I'm staying strong.

angedemarche · 09/07/2005 10:14

sick sick (barf) sick!!!

Frizbe · 09/07/2005 10:15

oh anged, know how you feel, except I have all the queasyness, but haven't actually been sick yet, although came very close this am {{{Hugs}}}

angedemarche · 09/07/2005 10:24

Hi Friz, i cant remember being like this with DD. At the minute I also have a head cold and i think it probably isn't helping.
Im 6+3 today.
Toothpaste is of the devil!

teuch · 09/07/2005 11:27

hi all...got doppler this morning and have been wrestling with it for hours! I can get all the wooshing placenta sounds and a really strong heartbeat which i think is my pulse since it doesn't seem that fast and mine doesn't have a digital read-out!!

Now and again I pick up a faint ticking but can never hold it...don't know whether it is static or what...

I am going to put it away til tomorrow or something, have used half the gel already!

Mamatoto · 09/07/2005 12:36

Hi teuch dorry you are having difficulty. Lie flat - feet up on a cushion then at least four finger widths down and four either way.....
How many weeks/days are you?
Aim doppler at an angle towars the back of your bum.does that make sense. Dont give up because sometimes I can try for ages then give up go back an hour later and find it immediately. mine is very central directly down from belly button - but a slight wrong move and I can lose it. Let me know how you get on - did you go to DopplerMike?

teuch · 09/07/2005 13:23

hi mamatoto...thanks for the sage advice here and on the other thread. I had some lunch then tried again and got it right away!

No digi read-out meant I had to leap up and get my watch to estimate the bpm...bout 170 per minute!

so good - i phoned dh right away and told him, he's a bit freaked out but could hear him smiling iykwim

Mamatoto · 09/07/2005 17:51

Got to ho out tonight and so so so do not want to . No energy, feel ratty tired and nauseous. No food ( or drink ) is right .........moan over!

Anged I didn't feel like this with dd either....the only thing stopping me feeling sick seems to be continual eating, which I'm sure will do me no good in the long run! (see me on the diet threads in April!)
Teuch, good luck with the doppler!

Flamesparrow · 09/07/2005 18:30

Crap crap and crapper here too.

TicTac · 09/07/2005 19:23

Hey Teuch, great fun with the dopler! We are still undecided!
I hate to tell you ladies but I felt like death yesterday but I feel great today! Still feel bloated and belching is becoming a fav past time of mine but other then that..all good stuff.
I told my grandad our news today, he was absolutly delighted...sent me into a bit of a tearful session but hey...isn't that what it's all about!?!?!?!?

Flamesparrow · 10/07/2005 09:14

I'm feeling much more sane today.

Spent yesterday alternating between sleeping and crying.

TicTac · 10/07/2005 09:27

Aww bless flamesparrow....hugs for you I think!

Tabs · 10/07/2005 10:34

Well I was thinking that you'd be all be jealous of me feeling fine, if a little tired, but every morning I'm reminded of the symptom I'm least enjoying - constipation! Just eaten a bowl of porridge with scan bran (horrid Slimming World high fibre crispbread) in it to try and get things moving, but started wretching whilst cooking it as the microwave smelled of the fish we had yesterday - nice!!

Hugs to all of you who seem to be feeling much worse, and hurrah for teuch finding heartbeat on doppler! Expecting mine to arrive tomorrow, so looking forward to the same sort of fun .

Mamatoto · 10/07/2005 10:36

went out and actually enjoyed self - could not drink so it was no fun watching every one get ratted......

Feeling better today - off out for breaky! Good sign!

Frizbe · 10/07/2005 20:52

Good to see your feeling a bit better today Mamoto!
Oh Tabs, I too have forgotten about microwaved fish in the past, its a horrible discovery early in the morning and I've never ever microwaved fish again since! (only did it that time cause Tesco delivery man couldn't deliver what I'd ordered...)
We'll I've actually felt good all day today, hurrah, the 1st time in two weeks! which was lucky as did a car boot, had to giggle at the horrified looks I was getting from a mum to be and her dh, (car behind us, as I'd left dd asleep in shade of ours at the back near them) when dd woke up from her nap and screamed for 5 mins, before she realised where she was and woke up properly, her poor dh, looked like he was having a sudden reality check, oopse!

Morning all. Just pooping in catch up while I wait for some of my listings to end on ebay . Flamesparrow... I too had a real water fetish last time, which never really wore off, so I'm dreading it getting worse this time. With ds, I was up to 10 litres a day, plus other drinks. I only drink about 6 litres now, but its still a hassle as I need to wee all the time! I got into freezing the bottles to try and slow myself down and all sorts, but nothing cured me!
Have had no symptoms for 3 days again, so am feeling a bit edgy. Strange that I feel safest when I've got my head down the loo! Only a couple of weeks till the scan...
