Hi Girls - so here we all are and so far so good (fingers and toes crossed and wheelbarrow loads of baby dust abounding)

Thought I would start a new thread (new name too) as babies being found out about now will just about be into March so we are no longer the absolute newbies which feels good!

So maybe we should collate all our due dates(any one had a dates scan yet??)

Keep it up!

Not just you 3K...although I have not had any leg pain. I feel poo this morning so have decided to work from home. I have so far been on mumsnet and checked out the news for the Olympic bid...can't face work!

Tabs · 06/07/2005 09:18

TicTac - I work from home too, but have given up even pretending to start work before 9:30 now!

TicTac · 06/07/2005 09:25

Hey Tabs, unfortunatly I dont work from home all of the time. I am a Seniro Business Analyst/ Project Manager so I have to go in and also travel quite a bit. Tiredness and sickness are serisouly effecting my ability to give a stuff at the minute....not good.
I am working down in London for a couple of days from tomorrow so I thought I should reserve my energies...LOL an excuse I know!

Mamatoto · 06/07/2005 09:55

Going for booking in today! Seems awfully early I am 9 weeks ( 9+2 by scan)
The midwife told me to come it was not me...anyway I always love these visits! Boring i know but it feels more real !

Have posted on another thread about this but am in the midst of a major panic now. A child in dd1's class has been diagnosed with rubella and I'm not immune (had the vaccine more than once but it doesn't work). Been told by obstetrician that as dd1 has had MMR she is v. unlikely to "carry" it home and that drop-off and pick-up should be OK but that I should avoid any extended contact with her classmates or their siblings. Cue PROBLEM!!!! It is dd1's sports day tomorrow and parents are meant to be really involved with all the children, shared picnic, etc. I'm pretty sure this is the extended contact I'm not meant to have. What do I do????? DD1 will be gutted if I'm not there. Bloody dh is claiming he forgot and hasn't put it in his diary (even though I told him weeks ago) and can't rearrange meetings so he can't go either. What do I do??????

teuch · 06/07/2005 13:04

oh yeahbut...I don't know! The last thing you want to do is be at risk then worry about it...does DD1 know about the baby and could you explain? Is there and Grandparents or other family that could go as a special treat?

Frizbe · 06/07/2005 13:54

Oh Lexy B, so sorry hon {{{Hugs}}}

Yeahbut, I can only echo teuch, I hope you find someone to help out soon x

YeahBut · 06/07/2005 15:59

Panic over! Got to school this pm to pick-up dd1 and found out that they've had to go to the wet weather plan because the forecast here is so dire tomorrow. Because they're inside, there's no room for parents and we can't go. I feel awful for feeling so glad that they've had to semi-cancel sports day! At least dd1 won't feel the odd one out now.

spacecadet · 06/07/2005 16:53

lexyb, so sorry

Mamatoto · 06/07/2005 18:05

Went to midwife - so many tests- strep B, thalssaemia, sickle cell, loads i had not had before. Weight as well which is a new one. Four pgs and 1 m/c meant a lot of form filling but makes it all real. Brought my date forward to 06/02/06..which is fun!

spacecadet · 06/07/2005 20:11

the last time i was weighed in preg was 14 years ago with dd1

Mamatoto · 06/07/2005 20:15

Yeah space - me too with 13 year old!

angedemarche · 06/07/2005 21:07

I thought everyone was weighed at every appointment!! I was the last time with DD, every single appointment!!

spacecadet · 06/07/2005 21:10

nobody weighed me with ds1, ds2 and dd2.

angedemarche · 06/07/2005 21:54

why do you think they are they doing it again now?

Flamesparrow · 07/07/2005 08:37

Probably some mad insane rule to be able to do more c-sections

TicTac · 07/07/2005 09:00

Morning ladies, hope everyone is well. Not too long to go now before we start to hit that 12 week milestone!! I was reading Pregnancy and birth last night and they had the usual pages describing each week of your pregnancy, anyway, I am in week 10 now (9+2 I think) and was horrified to read "You are now a quarter of the way through your pregnancy"......blimey, I went into shock at the thought that the next few months are just going to fly by...Very exciting though hey?

TicTac · 07/07/2005 12:26

Are all you London ladies ok?

LibbyandBensMummy · 07/07/2005 14:25

ha everyone hope all is well with all familes if involved in the london blasts. i just need some friendly advice really. im 10 weeks pregnant now and my husband has to decided to leave me thanks a bunch. two kids one on way and 6 years of being together he only just realiseed that he dont love me anymore nice ha. now e own our own home and now havin big arguments as he wont move out as he thinks he is gonna lose the house which he wont as it is in both our names so i can not do anything with it either . someone please have some advice.

Frizbe · 07/07/2005 14:32

Oh Libby&bensmummy, {{{{Bigs Hugs}}} so sorry about your situation.....I have no advice really, but think you should consult with a solicitor asap for proper legal advice re house etc, I can't begin to imagine how you must be feeling (((Hugs)))

LibbyandBensMummy · 07/07/2005 14:35

you wouldnt believe what im feelin at the mo im not sure if it is relief or anger really. we nearly went through this back in may and he begeed me to stay as he loved me and never wanted to lose me. but in that time he has completely changed, he reckon he has felt like this before i was pregnant so why the hell did he sleep with me and make me pregnant.

i do have a solicitor app on 18th july at 11 to sort stuff out .
im also going on hoilday this sat so can get away from it all.
thanks for all the hugs frizbe
