Hi Girls - so here we all are and so far so good (fingers and toes crossed and wheelbarrow loads of baby dust abounding)

Thought I would start a new thread (new name too) as babies being found out about now will just about be into March so we are no longer the absolute newbies which feels good!

So maybe we should collate all our due dates(any one had a dates scan yet??)

Keep it up!

Tabs, see your point, the health of you and your little one must come 1st!
I know what you mean about clothes girls, I have a slightly different problem, tho, I have long legs, its not that I'm complaining cuase I'm not, but most of the maternity wear co's don't do longer leg sizes! although luckily dp's and Next do!! (I make up for it with a short body! or at least that's how it seems to me!!)
Mamatoto I'm very tired too, and feeling sicky all day again, blurgh....

Tabs · 05/07/2005 17:42

3K - I'm also by your midwife's comment about not sunbathing. I went on hols when pg last year and my m/w said it was fine and have a good time! The only thing she wouldn't let me do was scuba dive!

I don't plan on going on hols this time though as it turned out that baby died whilst we were away last year, so I'm just being stupidly superstitious! Maybe we'll just drive over to Europe for a few days - have family in Germany so could go and visit them.

Teuch - a bit tempted by a doppler after reading about some of the other ladies on MN who have used them. My m/w is going to try and hear heartbeat at 12 weeks with one, so will prob see how that goes and then maybe hire one for a couple of months til baby starts to move.

Frizbe - I now have ridiculous image of woman with very very long legs and itsy bitsy body!! However much of a pain you find it you should be thankful that you don't look like my mental image!!

Flamesparrow · 05/07/2005 18:00

I'm going on honeymoon at the beginning of August (will be about 10/11 weeks) and I'm sunbathing for all I'm worth!!!!

So so sick of benig tired - I just want to sit and sob all the time.

angedemarche · 05/07/2005 18:10

Hi Folks,
My goodness, I've been away for a couple of days that there is so much catching up to do!
Stats are looking fairly full up, great stuff.
As for the weight thing, I am about the same weight now as I was when I had my DD, and I didn't put on too much with her, but as they keep saying, "Every pregnancy is different", so we'll see what happens.
Can anyone answer me, why is it that as soon as I'm pg, I take a notion for really unhealthy food (crisp sandwiches, chipper food etc) when normally I'm reasonably healthy???? And I always have great plans to eat my greens and organic etc etc.
I'm not feeling much sickness at the mo, thank goodness, but I have a 'slight' [ahem] wind problem
Also seem to be getting headaches, might be the weather though.
Much Love to you all, hope everyone is keeping well.
XxX ADM

spacecadet · 05/07/2005 18:14

angedemarche, i have nasty headaches too in the first three months-must be hormones!, did you get my email, id just got in from london and was exhausted, so it prob makes no sense!

angedemarche · 05/07/2005 18:15

spooky, just been emailing you SC!!!

angedemarche · 05/07/2005 18:17

I didn't have headaches with DD, so I think it is maybe the weather, it is close here.
Did you have a nice time in Londonium? I had no money, so shopping wasn't much fun at all. But, James Blunt was brill!!!!

angedemarche · 05/07/2005 18:19

SC, Im not sure if Im working this out right. My LMP is 25th May. Does that mean I am 6+6 today?

Tabs · 05/07/2005 18:23

Tabs · 05/07/2005 18:24

v jealous that you saw James Blunt

angedemarche · 05/07/2005 18:29

He was BRILL!!!!
about the date thing, does that mean you count week 1 as the week after your LMP? Sorry I'm being stupid! Considering I've been here before!

Frizbe · 05/07/2005 18:29

Lol at your mental image of me tabs I'm sure I'm not that out of proportion, but I do put all my weight on round my hips n middle

Frizbe · 05/07/2005 18:30

anged yes! I'm 2 days in front of you as was 23rd May!

angedemarche · 05/07/2005 18:35

Frizbe: Does that mean you are 5+4? Im so rubbish at this! I mean it only counting.

Frizbe · 05/07/2005 18:55

spacecadet · 05/07/2005 19:24

spacecadet · 05/07/2005 19:25

im assuming that is right if the wonders of technology say so!

ixel · 05/07/2005 19:45

Evening everyone. I must keep up with this thread... how do you do it? I leave it a day or two, and 20,000 messasges appear!!
Am feeling very smug, as I've finally had a symptom! Spent a good half hour with my head down the loo yesterday morning, and today I was so knackered that ds missed playgroup, dh played with him in the very cold garden while I slept till 11am! Shame dh had to go to work then! I tried to get him to take ds to the group, but he looked like he'd rather die...
I keep looking to see if I'm changing shape (9+1 I think now, keep losing track), but I think the fat was always there and I'm just admitting it to myself now!

Tabs · 05/07/2005 21:28

Ixel - wondered where you'd got to! Congratulations on your symptom !

LexyB · 06/07/2005 07:53

just a quick note to say goodbye to everyone - its happened again. Started bleeding heavily on Monday night and this time I haven't bothered to go to EPAC as I know what the outcome is.
Good luck to everyone for the rest5 of your pregancies and with your babies.
Keep your fingers crossed for me in the future - We will be trying again at some point.

JuA · 06/07/2005 07:58

LexyB I am so sorry - I hope you have got someone looking after you. I know there is nothing anyone can say to make you feel better at the moment. Take care and lots of hugs

Oh LexyB, I'm so sorry to read your sad news. I wish you as painless a time of it as possible, and hope that you'll be back on the ante-natal boards with a stickier bean soon. xx

3k · 06/07/2005 08:57

Morning Ladies,

LexyB - I am so sorry to hear your news. I hope you will be back on the antenatal threads soon. Thinking of you lots xxxxxx

Thanks to the ladies who wrote back regarding my hols. Not sure why the MW said I couldnt sunbathe, probably because of overheating but it is nice to hear that some of you got nice tans whilst away last time :-) I think I will try to relax and see how I feel, if feeling a bit too hot or sick I'll sit in the shade. I've been getting a bad pain in the back of my left leg for the past week anyone else getting this? I'm not sure if it's where I've been wearing my flipflops and it has pulled the muscle or if it is something else. Us first time mums to be eh, or is it just me
