Hi Girls - so here we all are and so far so good (fingers and toes crossed and wheelbarrow loads of baby dust abounding)

Thought I would start a new thread (new name too) as babies being found out about now will just about be into March so we are no longer the absolute newbies which feels good!

So maybe we should collate all our due dates(any one had a dates scan yet??)

Keep it up!

Oh, while I think about it here's a couple of handy websites for you, including the nappy lady one we were talking about:

nappylady

two left feet - this is a big nursery shop near you -
11-14 Sunbeam Rd, Woburn Rd Ind Est, Kempston, Bedford, MK42 7BY United Kingdom (+44) 01234 857777, just ordered a changing bag from them

fun mum - very cool mat clothes website

teuch · 30/06/2005 13:35

hey twiga - you are getting a bit handy with the links! I don't think I have managed to master that yet

Is anyone else suffering from the worst wind?! I think I am going to explode... even when I have to hold it in it makes loads of noise in my tummy (think mini-teuch taking after daddy!)

And, with the irony that comes with pg...exercise is the best remedy for wind...and I get the energy from where?

kando · 30/06/2005 16:09

Pops - I used to live in Peterhead, not far from your stomping ground! I too married an Englishman, for my sins ... Absolutely love living south of the border though (about to change next month when we move to Holland!)

Just had my booking in appointment with a student m/w, who was lovely. The community m/w also popped in, the same one as when I was pg with dd2 (was amazed at the size of dd2, she's a big girl!) Was lovely to see her, just a shame she won't be with me throughout although she tells me midwifery care in Holland is fantastic. Appointment went well, bloods taken so hopefully all will be well. For the first time today, I woke up feeling like a "normal" person, not absolutely shattered and feeling sicky - long may it continue! (I suspect it may have something to do with the fact that I went to bed at 8pm and was asleep by 8.15!!!

LibbyandBensMummy · 30/06/2005 16:13

help me with my wind to please i was in agony yesterday was rolling arou don the sofa in so much pain in my stomach then fell asleep and woke up in more pain then spent all night makin nasty noises from my rear which was so not attractive anyone got any hints to get rid it gently someone suggested peppermint cordial. any ideas??????

Savannah · 30/06/2005 16:26

am so worn out now. went to meet mummytosteven and gothicmama in shrewsbury. feel very very sick and tired now.

God, this thread is beginning to scare me!! Popadopalis and Kando - I'm from Aberdeen too!!!!!!!!! Left in 1998 but still head back periodically to visit my parents. Pop, where are you from? I lived in Midstocket, just round the corner from the Beechgrove Garden. Apparently it is now some posh housing development. Have also visited Peterhead a few times as an ex-boyfriend was a policeman up there... Couldn't believe I was reading those place names!!!!

spacecadet · 30/06/2005 18:42

wind! dont talk to me about wind!!!!, theres a force 9 gale blowing out of my rear, its just not funny anymore!

JuA · 30/06/2005 19:14

I can't believe that last week I was longing to feel sick!! I have felt really rough since Monday - morning sickness - more like all day! but it is quite reassuring.
I saw my GP last week but have not heard anything from the midwife yet - I am sure it didn't take this long last time. I have loads of questions - I had an elective section with dd due to placenta praevia (which wasn't diagnosed until 37+ weeks!!) so I don't really know what my options are - I think I would like a trial of labour - but my GP said I would not be allowed an epidural because I wouldn't be able to tell if there was a problem with my scar so I am not so sure (also I am not sure if that is true!?)
Congratulation to everyone who has had scans and I hope the tiredness and sickness isn't too bad!
Ju

LexyB · 30/06/2005 19:41

Feel so sorry for all of you with m/s. Have had it really badly with all my previous pregnancies and know its going to kick in soon this time. At the moment I just start to feel really queasy when I get hungry. Had to go to hospital the first three times, but in my last pregnancy had a lovely understanding GP who prescribed me tablets which worked really well.

Can't believe my scan said 4 - 5 weeks Am now in a time warp as I thought I was 4-5 weeks 3 weeks ago when got BFP, then 4-5 weeks after scan last week and still the same tody. Wondering if I will ever get to 6 weeks !!

LexyB · 30/06/2005 20:02

Have you told anyone yet ? We told everyone really quickly last time and then I miscarried so ahve decided to keep it to ourselves for a few more weeks yet.
Surprised the children haven't twigged as I have stopped having a glass of wine in the evening and started drinking decaff coffee and they knew i was going to the hospital this morning even though I am on holiday this week, but I am employed by our local trust and often have to go in to the hospital so I suppose thats why they haven't questioned that.
Or maybe they have sussed it but don't want to aknowledge it. Had to take DS1 for a KFC to console him when pregnant with DS3 ( now 10months ) as he was so embarressed, and then in April when pregnant again stomped to room for several hours with extremely loud music and was later found in bed crying.

Not really any news from me. Still no sickness, only a little tiredness, and no other symptoms! Maybe it'll be just my luck to start getting sick after the first trimester and have it last the rest of the way through .

Sympathy coming out to all of those of you busy barfing and farting - what a pleasant bunch you are .

LexyB - your scans do sound very confusing. Still, if they managed to pick up the heartbeat then all must be well I guess, so that's the important thing.

Had some good news from a friend today. We were pregnant last year and due within a few days of each other, but she miscarried a couple of weeks before I did. Well she found out today that she's pregnant again too, and due at the end of Feb, so at least I'll have a RL buddy to do pregnancy with (I did have another RL buddy who was 3 days behind me, but she m/ced last week )

Frizbe · 30/06/2005 22:18

Phew, Teuch, Spacecadet n Libbynbens mummy, glad I'm not the only one smelling a little sulphorous...argh! how embarrasing.....

Libbynbensmummy, it was Tabs who did the list!! I just copied it and added a few new details to it, as they were all getting listed seperately, which is a mare to read I see the good lady has updated us all again tonight

TicTac · 30/06/2005 22:40

Hi all...I am so glad someone else mentioned wind. I am really funny about all that but I have been a little wind tunnel for a while now....gorgeous!

Spacecadet...I didn't realise you mc at 16 weeks...gosh, that's really late isn't it...good luck for this time!!

Savannah · 01/07/2005 08:14

ok. who started talking about wind??

poor dh had to get out of bed early this morning cos he couldnt stand it anymore!!!!

i fell down the last 2 stairs last night and jarred myself a bit. Am ok though.

What are you all up to today?

Im really tired. Met up with 2 other MNers yesterday and am really worn out now

Have only told DH MNers and my nan. My nan was really less than impressed and Im not even going to tell you what she said cos it will upset me.

Am going to do the school run now. Back later x x

Flamesparrow · 01/07/2005 10:12

Aww poo... you did the stats a day too early!!!

Flamesparrow... Mummy to DD (Bronwyn) who was hospital waterbirth - she's now 2. Married to Boy. Lives in Bournemouth. Due Feb 23rd. Errr... not sure what else you need! Hoping for a home birth this time round.

RosiePosie · 01/07/2005 10:30

Flamesparrow, I had a homebirth last time and will probably have one this time too - if I can find someone to take the children!

Savannah · 01/07/2005 12:23

i had a homebirth for ds2. was wonderful

Flamesparrow · 01/07/2005 12:28

My friend's had them for 3 of hers (most recent 2 weeks ago) - she is what has given me the push to go for it.

TicTac · 01/07/2005 13:08

I am in work and have had a nother small bleed. Have spoken to Womans Health at the hospital and they have tried to reassure me that I will be ok and to see what happens over the next day or two. Does anyone have a rock for me to hide under for the remainder of this pregnancy please????

Frizbe · 01/07/2005 14:21

Oh Tic Tac, fingers x'd its nothing hon {{{Hugs}}}

Tabs · 01/07/2005 15:10

Oh TicTac . If they said at the hospital the other day that the bleed hadn't come from the pregnancy then I would think that there's every chance that this one hasn't either.

Could it be a cervical erosion, as the softening of the cervix during pregnancy can apparently make this more noticeable.

If it's not TMI, have you and DH been BD'ing in the last few days, as that is also likely to cause bleeding if you do have CE.
