Oh Willitbe, I'm so sorry. I will keep my fingers crossed for you, I'm sure we all will [hugs]

Welcome to all newbies. I don't know if you've looked elsewhere Violet but most other due date calculators differ to mumsnet by 2 days for some reason. On here it says I'm due 1st July but bounty, babycentre etc all say 3rd! Until my booking appointment I'm thinking 3rd, providing all goes well.

Thinking of you Willitbe

NorkyButNice · 08/11/2009 10:03

Sorry Willitbe

I hope it turns out not to be a mc but you'll be in my thoughts till you know one way or the other.

Hope everyone else is doing ok. Nausea and headaches here but otherwise not too bad.

Champagneforlunch · 08/11/2009 10:12

Can I join to?
Definate BFP this morning after faint ones last night meant I hardly slept. Haven't actually told anyone else yet as still trying to get my head round it. It took two years for me to get pregnant last time this time two months and we weren't even trying (Dh will be upset he misses the trying). I have Dd1 six, DD2 is 5 months and according to due date calc I will be due a month and a day after her first birthday.
Willtbe so sorry to hear your news, the worst feeling is the not knowing you feel stuck in a void just waiting.

MumfieMagic · 08/11/2009 10:20

Feeling your pain Willitbe, be strong if you can. xx

Firerise · 08/11/2009 11:12

Hi all

so sorry to hear your news Willitbe and latest I'm thinking of you and I hope for happier times for you both in the future

Hi to the newcomers and congrats!

Daisy2010 · 08/11/2009 16:57

My thoughts are with you willitbe and latest .....
Congratulations to all new new joiners

Thank you - Irishfairy , Flowerbee and Firerise for the tips

In addition to all of the home remedies I had to take a low dose of paracetamol as the nurse was a bit worried about my rising temperature - apparently it is safe to take in pregnancy and the harm caused by high temperature was greater etc etc .......

Was a bit scared yesterday but best to maintain positive thoughts anyway feeling much better today ... so onwards and upwards
Have a good week ladies....xxx

violetbubbles · 08/11/2009 17:37

So sorry to hear your sad news willitbe and latest

grumpypumpkin · 08/11/2009 18:41

Feel bad asking this due to sadness for willit and latest but has anyone been to GP yet? I am going in the morning and wondering what they will do?

Champagneforlunch · 08/11/2009 18:48

So sorry to hear to hear your sad news latest.

Last time I went to the Gp they just made a refferal for the midwife for me, didn't test or anything else and then he told me to take folic acid. Then had to wait for the booking in apppointment at twelve weeks.

WinterMadness · 08/11/2009 19:23

Same round here Grumpy GP doesn't even really want to see you (or at least that's the impression you get) you just see the mw at 8 weeks plus then wait for your scan date. I've got my mw appointment in 3 weeks - feels like a lifetime away

Irishfairy · 08/11/2009 19:29

I'm the same as you Wintermadness have to wait 3 weeks for booking in appointment and it honestly seems so long away and then probably another 3-4 weeks wait for the scan after that! I've been finding n the past few weeks that my patience is not as good as I always thought!

I suppose keeping busy is the best thing, makes the time go by faster

sleb1 · 08/11/2009 19:31

Thank you for your messages of congratulations We were trying for over three years and really didn't expect to be successful on our first round of IVF. We have told the few who knew we were going through IVF, but we've decided to wait until Christmas to tell everyone including my mother. I still have no major symtoms - in fact I feel so well that I did another pg test on Friday just to double check I still was - and I am. The main difference is that I was diagnosed with M.E. a few years ago. This is the best I have felt in years - must be all the hormones. I'm also hungry a lot!

I meant to say I live in Brighton - Hove actually!

Heated · 08/11/2009 20:10

Been on MN for quite a while - recognise a few faces - but can't quite believe I'm doing my first post in this section

Tested this pm, kept schtum since didn't want to put dh off the lovely dinner he spent ages preparing, put the dcs to bed and then left the pos. result for him to see.

He's very pleased with himself!!

Am due 12th July.

NorkyButNice · 08/11/2009 20:30

Welcome heated - I hope the next 8 months are painless! Your DH sounds more
excited than mine was!

So sorry latest

Champagneforlunch · 08/11/2009 20:34

I haven't even told Dh yet, i should realy do it soon. Didn't want to tell him this morning or I would have got grief about going horse riding (my once weekly attempt at keeping fit), might tell him when he comes down stairs after putting Dd2 to bed. Just can't think of how to do it now. Might just steal your idea heated and show him the test.
Congratulations sleb I know how long it felt trying for Dd2 but three years must have been so hard.

Heated · 08/11/2009 20:47

Have you told him yet Champagneforlunch? If not, I'm sure we can think of some ways{smile}

My aunt's friend is a doctor's wife and really thought her husband would have spotted the symptoms! In the end, they were out driving and dh asked where they were going, and she said "For the scan"
Everybody at the practice knew before he did!

Champagneforlunch · 08/11/2009 21:03

He is back downstairs now eating wossits and watching sleepless in seattle. Maybe not the most memorable moment.
We have a night out planned a week on tuesday which would have been the perfect time to tell him but don't think I could keep to secret that long.
My sister is a doctor and we're really close, she was the only one who didn't guess last time. They realy are the not most observant bunch.

So does anyone have any ideas bearing in mind it will be a surprise?

Champagneforlunch · 08/11/2009 21:40

It will have to wait till tomorrow now, sickness is setting in and he is back up settling Dd2.

Going for bath then bed, will try tomorrow. Goodnight everyone.
