Its okay Pavlov my tablets are still in their box - am frightened to start using them after my scare last week!!!

My brother is driving me absolutely bonkers. He told my mum to F off, and that her food was making him feel sick. Not the first time he's done it, and its really starting to get on my wick. Just now, his behaviour managed to lead into a family argument where I - possibly stupidly - said that I was concerned about raising my son in an enviroment where someone is acting like that. I have been worrying about it, because he really does just take things too far. To which my parents rounded on me, saying part of it was learnt behaviour. I accepted this, but also reminded them that I was in fact seriously mentally ill at that time, and suicidally depressed, not to mention hearing voices. So then my brother turned round and laughed at me, said I was talking bullshit and just wanted attention, that I was a selfish bitch, and a freak. UGH

Anyway...

My bump feels really weird tonight... Can't explain it. Just feels weird...

Oooh hi to all the new joiners, what a busy month!

And O M G we already have a baby!!!! Huge congrats to you lemontop what fantastic news that you will soon have him home and he is doing so well. Can't wait to see a picture.

Hope everyone is well, getting closer and closer. Does anyone else feel TOTALLY unprepared?! I just don't have time for a new baby yet. House still needs things doing to it, still getting birthdays and parties over with and having a slight money crisis too, it's non stop.

Also discovered after going out for the first time in 2wks, now we are relatively better, that walking has brought on SPD It's so painful. Made mush worse when having to pick up ds and dd all day long or tidying house up! Not fun. But at least the end is in sight. Can't believe it's only 6wks tomorrow for me.

My aunt gave birth to a little girl last night after a 5 DAY labour All was fine though but it has made me a little paranoid that this could happen, unlikely given my lightening birth record so far but I just couldn't imagine being in labour for such a long time.

Does anyone have a section or induce date yet?? I love the excitement of new arrivals

Hi all, thanks for the welcome and adding me to the list! Could actually not figure out how many days plus 35 I am....(and am research scientist, after all). My brain is so soggy right now, it's not funny. I hope it works better again after dd is born.

My dd1 was posterior and not at all engaged when my water broke, but twisted around to get into proper position. Labour was long but fairly painless! So all can work out!

Less than 30 days....I have a bassinett standing here, that's about it...we'll swing it this time, as house is still in general baby mode.

Laugs · 05/10/2009 21:31

Hello,

Hope everyone's well. Too sleepy to read it all tonight. I met up with Lissyglitter today and we had fun chasing our DDs around a museum

Off to bed now and keeping my fingers crossed that I'll sleep. Hope the rest of you do too...

Welcome to the newbies!

I'm the same as Laugs. Our DDs got on really well, mine wouldn't stop talking about her new friend tonight, and even asked to use the potty as her new friend doesn't wear nappies! Brill!

Broodzilla · 06/10/2009 03:59

Well.... My waters broke at midnight with a massive gush. Am now at the hospital, got admitted to the ward and DH had to go home. The baby seems to be doing fine, but they don't know how long until things kick off-I could be here for days. This was not in my unwritten birthplan!
Feel a bit strange and unreal and can't sleep... Get those bags packed girls!

broodzilla- My advice to you would be to get out of the hospital for a bit. You don't have to be there just yet....

Fruitpastels · 06/10/2009 06:54

Boodzilla Thinking of you. Hope you managed to get some rest last night. How exciting!!

helips · 06/10/2009 06:58

Broodzilla How exciting! Hope you are ok and have a lovely quick pain free labour! Who knows, you could be cuddling your gorgeous baby as I type! Really must finish packing my labour bag, all these babies popping out early is making me nervous

Kyte good luck with your consultants appointment, hope it goes the way you want and that you get a better nights sleep.

Ds woke up ridiculously early this morning. I was fast asleep and very confused when he came in demanding special k! Thank goodness it's his nursery day today. He has just looked out the window and said 'mummy it's dark in the garden' mmmm no kidding sherlock!

Hope everyone has a nice day today, anyone else think they might go into labour today?

claired21 · 06/10/2009 07:14

Good luck broodzilla!! I can't believe we're almost onto baby no 2 and it's still early October!

Hope to hear an announcement soon x

ursigurke · 06/10/2009 07:24

Good luck broodzilla! I can't believe it. Hope to hear soon from you having had a nice birth!
Kyte, good luck with your appointment. I'm sure they will advise you what to do about your cs. Babies born three weeks earlier are still considered to be on time so i guess bringing it a little bit forward wouldn't do any harm.

Ninjacat · 06/10/2009 08:05

Broodzilla best of luck hun. I know you don't need me to tell you but if your not in active labour get as much rest as you can. Thinking of you

skorpion · 06/10/2009 08:16

Sorry, forgot to say yesterday welcome newbies! broodzilla am thinking of you and wishing you a nice, easy labour. I just can't believe the second baby's almost here!

kyte hope it all goes well at the appointment, I'm sure they will advise you well taking everything into consideration. The bun is almost ready so it's not long now.

Not much to report here, well, it's grim and grey in Oxford. I've lost all my enthusiasm for cleaning and shopping and generally getting ready that manifested itself at the weekend. Just sitting in the office counting down days. Roll on 15 October!

raggie - how is your move coming along? Is your dh settled in Oxford now? What's he doing his phd in?

BeckyBendyLegs · 06/10/2009 08:20

Oh my god! Broodzilla! Thinking of you today

This is all starting to seem very real now, I'd better take my head out of the sand and start realising that babies are coming!

OP posts:
Ninjacat · 06/10/2009 08:26

Just realised I'm into the six week count down. Seven weeks felt remote and manageable but six weeks is a far scarier prospect.
No way is this baby coming early! I have my legs firmly crossed (that's not a grin that's the face I'm making holding my pelvic floor as tight as it will go so that no baby can escape)

Tabbykat · 06/10/2009 08:35

Oooh - good luck Broodzilla! Hope you have a lovely easy labour and get to meet your baby today! And now must really get my arse into gear....

Too tired tho this morning to do it - have a massive list of jobs which is getting longer, not shorter. Mum and Dad are popping over to have DD for a bit so I could sleep but just have TOO MUCH to do!

And to top it off DH came in this morning and said, not to worry, I've already got today's piece of bad news - sink in the bathroom has developed a massive crack and now needs urgently replacing as is hanging off the wall. Ho hum.Seriously bored of all this bad news now and surely feel we must be due some good karma - perhaps Id better buy a lottery ticket!

Can't remember who was asking about my clicking bump, but its nothing to worry about apparently. It's just like the sound when your joints click, and is probably either the baby clicking it's joints stretching its massive legs, or its pushing against me and making my bones click. Doesnt hurt, just a bit weird.

Anyway, welcome to the newbies! Hope we get to hear some good news from Broodzilla soon, x

skorpion · 06/10/2009 08:42

wizzy just wanted to say I had a look at your blog (can you see I'm busy at the office?) - LOVED IT. Please keep it up.

beepbeep · 06/10/2009 08:48

Broodzilla - hope it all goes well x

Laugs · 06/10/2009 08:54

Broodzilla How exciting! I hope you've managed to get a bit of sleep through the night and eat a bit of breakfast (if you're not already in labour that is) and that your DH can join you soon. Sending you lots of good vibes today and hope to hear from you soon x

Ladies, I learnt in my active birth class that the belly dance is a birthing ritual, whereby the labouring woman's friends and family would form a circle around her and perform the dance in order to encourage an easy labour, spacious pelvis, wide hips, natural movements etc. So, if we all start belly dancing around our laptops in Broodzilla's honour...

Laugs · 06/10/2009 09:04

Sorry, also meant to say kyte I hope it goes well at the doctor's. I thought elective CS was normally a bit earlier than 39 weeks anyway, so hopefully they will agree to bringing it forward a bit.

Lissyglitter DD couldn't stop talking about her new friend either

Tabbykat what a rubbish start to the day. You definitely deserve some good luck soon.

southernbelle77 · 06/10/2009 09:20
