welcome comma2

ErikaMaye · 05/10/2009 14:28

Welcome comma2, do add yourself to the list

Mum reckons my bump has dropped. Know its supposed to, but what does it mean..?

sassmonkey · 05/10/2009 14:40

Can I play too?! I am feeling grotty and a bit hormonally depressed today, so thought i would cheer myself a bit by joining in. I have been lurking for a few weeks, enjoying reading your chat and your tidbits of wisdom.

Tamlin now that you mention it - yes, that's exactly how it feels. I've had his bum poking out under my ribs on the right up until now, but that's gone. Damn, I thought I was doing so well bouncing on the ball...

Raggie that's back to back which is not the way we want them...

scarlotti · 05/10/2009 14:47

Hi All

So much to catch up on! Have only skim read the last few pages so hope everyone is doing ok.

erika lol at your dream!! I think I saw you at Tesco on Saturday too, you were queuing with your dp at the checkout - would have said hello but had mum on the mobile at the time.

lemontop so pleased Isaac is coming along well and feeding well.

As for me, lovely weekend with the IL's and seem to be sleeping ok again-ish so grateful for that. I have started getting twinges in my lower bump and he's definitely dropped so gearing up for a few weeks time I think.

I am knackered, just been dragged around b&q, but happy as we bought some bloody cool lightswitches - i know, i know, sad, but they really are cool! oh and some door handles . I am so physically tired from it, its unreal! bump feels v heavy and feet feel sore so i am lying down! It took a good hour longer than we planned as i spent so long dragging my feet and bump!

ErikaMaye · 05/10/2009 14:57

Scarlotti glad you had a good weekend. Every time I go into Tesco I keep my eyes open for pregnant women just in case one of them is you Am not a stalker, honest!!

Pavlov just minus two from mine Its worth the tiredness - lightswitches are the in thing right now!!

Sorry Sassmonkey don't know why you and Comma went awol from the list.
We are a very friendly bunch I promise.
Welcome to the November thread

katster37 · 05/10/2009 16:11

OMG I can't believe I missed Lemontop's post yesterday - I am so sorry!! That is wonderful news though, I am so pleased, and can't wait to hear that you are all home!! Well done on the feeding as well - all so exciting!

Raggie would def post to you, is just I am not sure how reliable London post is at the minute, but can def try! The last post I got was sent on August 14th.... Or if you are free this weekend, three of us from a pregnancy thread are meeting for lunch in E Dulwich (anyone else welcome too!). Or could meet for a coffee somewhere central-ish? Up to you.

Tamlin that is the CD I have too. I hope it is working. I"ve not read the brochure thing yet, but it definitely sends me to sleep, so if nothing else, at least it is doing that! Erika I am with you on the sleep thing. Does anyone else have awful, horrid, terrifying dreams at the minute?! Mine last night was so awful I can't even bring myself to write it down - I daren't go to sleep for ages afterwards!

Laugs thanks for the book recommendations - I really like Libby Purves so will give that one a go! You're totally right - by my bed, I have Childbirth without Fear, the Ina May Gaskin one and Stand and Deliver (v well worth reading, btw) - all well thumbed. Then, I have two books lent to me about babies which I daren't even look at yet!

BeepBeep I found your post v reassuring. It is so nice to hear about 'untraumatic' births. And I am with you - if I can avoid an epidural/forceps/em cs then I will be pleased!

Trikken - was the psychic man right?!

Just been for blood tests to recheck my iron as it was pretty low last time. V nice actually, as I got to leave work at 3!

PavlovtheForgetfulCat · 05/10/2009 16:15

ninja i am here! post it quick!

katster37 · 05/10/2009 16:16

PS - just adding myself to the Monday countdown! And welcome to comma and sassmonkey!

PavlovtheForgetfulCat · 05/10/2009 16:18

katster yes! I meant to post earlier about a horrible dream I had last night. Well 2 I had, one was that I was watching in third person, myself drowning, although I was ok in the end, I was amongst weeds and there was another body at the bottom of whatever it was.... it was v scary. The second one, I shan't even post about as it is topical and was very upsetting.

PavlovtheForgetfulCat · 05/10/2009 16:21

Sorry - also meant to say WELCOME to sassymonkey and comma, how are your pgs going? sorry to hear you are feeling hormonal and depressed comma, we shall cheer you up, sure of it!

ErikaMaye · 05/10/2009 16:33

Katster oh yeah, plenty of nightmares going on here. Am either having crazily weird ones, or ones that litterally wake me up close to screaming. Have tried various things but nothing seems to help for it. Pavlov sorry to hear you're struggling with them too, hope you both get some undisturbed rest soon...

Trikken · 05/10/2009 16:36

confession: I chewed the bath poof today.

ErikaMaye · 05/10/2009 16:39

Trikken for any particular reason..?

Trikken · 05/10/2009 16:42

couldnt help it, each time i bathe i had the urge to chew it, this time i had to put it in my mouth and give it a munch. it was delicious. Im horrified at my actions. hangs head in shame.

PavlovtheForgetfulCat · 05/10/2009 16:46

That has a name Trikken - let me go google it. It is surprisingly common - not specifically the bath poof but craving non-food things...

ErikaMaye · 05/10/2009 16:46

That's possibly one of the weirdest cravings I've heard of... How odd. I wonder what is causing you to want to do that..?
