Morning all,

Lemontop What lovely news about Isaac! I bet he'll be home in no time now!

Hobnob BHs are supposed to calm down by resting (on the left side...) and re-hydrating. Then again, some people say walking around helps.

Fruitpastels Shame you caught the cold! The worst thing is wanting the dose up with Beechams, or better yet, a hot rum and honey. Wrap up warm and make sure you're drinking lots. (Honey is allowed while preggers, right?)

Beepbeep See, that's the part that makes me unsure... Everyone says that you'll "just know" when it's time to go to hospital. Yet you managed at home until you were fully dialated! I know it was all good in the end with you giving birth in hospital and all, but it just goes to show how different people's bodies are.

Helips I'm sure shopping counts towards nesting!

Tabby Sounds to me like a sparkly pink scooter and cake is just the ticket for making your DD feel special for the day! Sorry to hear about the housekeys incident though. Shingles is the adult version of Chickenpox, so if you've had that you should be ok as far as I understand.

Tamlin at knocking on the vicar's door with that t-shirt! I hope he had a good sense of humour?

Ursi Good luck with the packing! Just remember to reward yourself after every packed box.

Erika Erm, I'll blame it on the preggobrain, but I completely misunderstood the placenta thing... I thought your friend had found some random company that pays for them... But yes, I think shipping it in a lovely box with a bow on top to the Evil-Company is a good plan! Also, on your behalf re: the food situation - don't they know not to mess with a pregnant woman's stash?

Nothing to report here. (Although, I must say, I'm secretly really pleased not to have popped yesterday as it was my evil step-father's b-day. Didn't want the bean to share that one...) My bump has changed shape overnight and is not FLAT at the front. I don't know how he's rearranged himself to achieve that...

Broodzilla Bless you. I have misplaced my brain today entirely... And I know!!! Foolish people... I'm craving Starbuck What do you mean its not flat..? I'm curious now!!!

Broodzilla · 05/10/2009 11:52

OMG, What's happening to my brain? It's seriously worrying considering that I'm gearing up for a really important presentation - I can't even write a legible post on MN!

What I meant is, my bump is NOW flat at the front. It looks like I've walked into a wall or something. Very strange.

ErikaMaye · 05/10/2009 11:53

HA okay, that makes a bit more sense!!! If I find yours while I'm looking for mine, will CAT it it to you

Tamlin, had to laugh at your story about getting locked out! I'm sure it wasn't funny at the time but...

misssese · 05/10/2009 12:04

Hi everyone haven't posted for a while, sorry! Hope your all doing well and looking forward to due date mine is 7th nov!

Fubble · 05/10/2009 12:08

Broodzilla, sadly I ate the whole 100g reward chocolate as a second breakfast so I guess I should not continue with the biscuits.
I agree with what you said to beepbeep, I'm a bit worried of choosing the right moment to go to the hospital. I know first timers take a bit more time but from what I know from my sister and my mum, women in my family just seem to be rather quick.
And about your flat bump: I always thought mine was somehow flat. So the usual position of my baby is back on my right and hands and feets on the left. I suppose "normaly" they are a bit more turned with hands and feet a bit more inwards and a round back outwards which makes the bump rounder. Does that sound reasonable? If not, what did you expect, I'm having a pregnancy brain as well

skorpion · 05/10/2009 12:42

ursi I think our bumps must communicate somehow - mine lies exactly in the same position! This is causing the bump to look lopsided and a bit flat right at the front, looks especially funny when I lie back flat to have a look at her. She tends to go into mexican wave mode then, too

longwayaway I know exactly what you mean. I managed to sleep for twelve (TWELVE!) hours Sat night but that still didn't stop me feeling shattered Sun evening...

I think I'll sleep for the whole first two days of my leave. Eight days left in the office.... [yawn]

HomeintheSun · 05/10/2009 13:13

Hi everyone I haven't posted for ages but I am still here, baby is still very active and I honestly believe it's turned into an octopus, no one baby can poke in so many different places at once. Hope everyone is doing really well. I have added myself to the list below hope no one minds.

Thanks for the advice tamlin and kind offers katster and erikamaye. I'm in N London actually katster, but if you would be happy to post it I could return it the next day. Very kind and only if you're happy to do so! Or maybe we could meet up? Although you're probably as exhausted as I am after each day at school at the moment! I'll have a look on Amazon and see what's there anyway and let you know.

And brill news lemontop about Isaac feeding. So happy for you. Fingers crossed he is home soon.

Tamlin · 05/10/2009 13:21

Sometimes a flat bump can mean a sunny-side up (posterior) baby - can you work out where the hands and feet are? If you can feel hands wiggling right by your pubic bone at the front, the baby is probably posterior at the moment.

How am I not even 36 weeks yet? I feel ready to drop this child any moment now.

raggie · 05/10/2009 13:27

Does posterior mean back to back or bottom out tamlin? Because the way you describe wiggling right by pubic bone is exactly what I can feel. It's weird, like she is tickling me!

4 days of work left and THEN I'll concentrate on this baby malarkey....

Trikken · 05/10/2009 14:20

I know what you mean Tamlin, I feel like im as pregnant as can get, i dread to think how heavy, waddly and uncomfortable Im going to be if I have another 4 weeks + to go. Dh is desperate for her to come now, (secretly think he wants his paternity leave now) also he loves babies, he was going all gooey the other day at playgroup when one of the mums was showing us her newborn girl.
