Hello everyone...

Had a positive test this morning, suspect due on 3rd June. Gulp! Very surprised as DD is only 9 months and it took me 2 years to conceive the first time around.

Anyone here to join teh long wait?

Oh god, sorry, I did the post and then failed to actually post it and now RnB has already amended the list and I look barmy or as though I can't read. Sorry.

bluesnowfalcon · 08/11/2009 17:07

ladyem are you still around? Sorry I haven't been in for a while - how are you doing? Bean still hangin in there?

LittleRobbo · 08/11/2009 17:30

dont worry horton none of us are in our right mind at the mo are we

HappyAccident · 08/11/2009 19:45

Very sorry nuttysquirrel.

JesusChristOtterStar - you are not on the list - should you be?

I don't normally do morning sickness, but I retched this morning, which only happened once in the whole of my pregnancy with dd, and not at all with ds. Hope I'm not going to suffer this time when I already have 2 to look after! Friends keep suggesting that maybe it's twins . They obviously don't want to stay my friends .

Ladyemmalou83 · 08/11/2009 22:07

Hey Blue, im still here! Its been a rough week or 3, but after my scan on friday all seems good now (well keeping fingers crossed anyway). Saw a lovely heartbeat flicking away. How have you been?

Woofie · 08/11/2009 22:14

Hello everyone,

Really sorry to hear more bad news nuttysquirrel

Hmm, am beginning to get drawn back to the idea of a homebirth - thanks for the encouraging stories about short second labours celery and gizmo

Woofie · 08/11/2009 22:15

Just saw your post ladyemma - that's brilliant news

readysetgo · 08/11/2009 22:15

Hi All, have been scared to post until now as miscarried at 6 + 3 earlier in the year. I've made it to 7 weeks!! Yay Today is the first day I have felt really excited. I know it is still early days, but 7 weeks felt scarily far away when I got my bfp!

So I'm due June 25 2010! Congratulations to you all and so sorry to read of some of your losses stay strong.

Just a bit of nausea so far, nothing awful. Hope I haven't spoken too soon!

Here's to the next 5 weeks of nervousness!

fillybuster · 08/11/2009 22:36

just at the end of a really super lovely weekend and wanted to check how everyone was doing....so sorry to hear more sad news from nutty but glad everyone else is hanging in there (waves at ladyem especially...good going that bean!)

gizmo - yah boo sucks to rude drivers...dont let the buggers drive you off the roads (and yes, I should stick that in latin for you to make it look less rude but its late and my brain has gone to mush, so give me a day or so to come up with something tidy for you there!)

woofie - hehe, I promise to hold off for now but can pretty much guarantee I'll be the voice of the "don't count on it being better the second/third time around" brigage nearer the time. would be funny if my 3rd popped out quickly, given that i'm assuming there's not a chance of it making an appearance in under 24 hours....funny in a good way, but not a bleeding chance

dh was seriously good and let me have a proper lie-in both days this weekend...my tummy has been really sore and hurt-y which is a bit worrying and I've been trying to convince myself is due to constipation and/or wearing too-tight skinny jeans....but I will be heading off to EPU in a couple of days if it doesn't ease up. anyway, sympathy from dh = additional zzzzzs, which was definitely a good thing (silver linings and all....). saw lots of friends, had lots of meals and had a fab childrens (ok, fillybuster's) fireworks party tonight for about 30 friends. all tidied up now and heading off to bed.....

fillybuster · 08/11/2009 22:37

...oops...and welcome, readysetgo....

RnB · 09/11/2009 10:07

Hello everyone,

Well still feeling pretty sick, being less sick than I was with my other 2, but generally feeling worse unfortunately.

I hit 12 weeks next week! Haven't had a scan date through yet. Still feeling pretty anxious because I had a missed miscarriage at 10 weeks 3 yrs ago (baby had a died a few weeks before the bleeding starting) so am living in a world of paranoia that something will/has gone wrong.

But very excited about the scan.

Hope everyone else is bearing up

gizmo · 09/11/2009 11:45

Morning everyone. 8 weeks yesterday and booking meeting with midwife this morning, so I'm sitting here feeling properly pregnant this morning.

And in fact I found over the weekend that many of my trousers are really too tight around the middle so I've been forced to buy my first pair of maternity trousers . Oh for the stomach muscles of my first pregnancy, where I only started thinking about soft waistlines at 16 weeks.

RnB · 09/11/2009 11:54

Me too Gizmo - I'm in maternity bottoms now already. I had a completely flat stomach at this point first time round. I feel like a complete hefer

gizmo · 09/11/2009 11:56

RnB - I can really relate to the world of paranoia thing. I had a missed miscarriage a few years ago and it destroys your faith in pregnancy, doesn't it?

My symptoms have definitely decreased this week and I'm slightly dreading the dating scan, but keep telling myself that miscarriages happen in a minority of pregnancies, so at least the numbers are on my side.

Roll on the 4th December - I might be able to relax a little once I have the dating scan.

fillybuster · 09/11/2009 13:02

Gizmo - we've got our dating scan on the same day...like you, I'll breathe a lot easier once I've had confirmation everything is ok.

And talking of breathing easier - I'm going to have to get my maternity clothes out already and I'm only 9 weeks ...I was in 'normal' clobber until at least 18 weeks with ds and dd....eek! But my tummy is definitely 'popping out' and my waistbands hurt Ah well, I weighed myself this morning and I've only put on 2lbs so it must be bump rather than just eating too much as my clothes would normally fit at this weight (or so I'm going to keep on telling myself anyway....)

Icanneverthinkofagoodname · 09/11/2009 16:24

Hey fillybuster, I am the same, have a definite bump but only put on 2lbs. This is my first as well so sure I should not have a bump yet. Almost 11 weeks now though. Have my scan on Wednesday so very excited.
Bought new trousers from Primark this week for inbetween stage, just went up from 10 to 12. They have really comfy black cords for £8.00 and now I am wearing them all the time

Was looking after my nieces on Sunday (2 & 4) and we went to indoor play barn thing (after they had covered my house in play doh and pasta). Usually love looking after them but was so tired and ill feeling and they were playing up somewhat, that it just was not fun. Starting to wonder what I have let myself in for with this baby business. Getting seriously scared about how well I will cope with everything. I guess that's normal tho.

HappyAccident · 09/11/2009 16:39

Another one who's had a missed m/c in the past here. Although I did have some spotting that time, so I shall live in hope until scan day (10th December).

icntoagd (catchy abbreviation that ) - it's quite normal to be nervous with your first. And second. And third... Just think, at least you won't have the 4 yo, 2 yo and the baby to look after all at once. But I will .

So ladies, statistically one of us is likely to end up with twins. Who's it gonna be .

Horton · 09/11/2009 17:08

I've got a booking in appointment next week (am wandering round muttering 'Must Not Forget to Go to Appointment' at myself because I think there is a real risk) then a scan on the 7th December. Like everyone else, I won't really breathe easy until then.

And I am very very much fatter than with my last baby. I seem to remember buying a pair of maternity trews that I barely needed at about 11 weeks last time. This time I have been in maternity trousers for a couple of weeks already. I clearly have no stomach muscles left.

gizmo · 09/11/2009 17:28

HappyAccident: well I know it's not me...

greensnail · 09/11/2009 17:54

HappyAccident PIL's seem to want me to have twins so they end up with an even number of grandchildren but SIL already had twins this year so think statistically its unlikely to be me. Also, I'm less sick than with DD so think its unlikely.

HappyAccident · 09/11/2009 18:11
greensnail · 09/11/2009 18:29

lol, my money's on it being you happyaccident!

fillybuster · 09/11/2009 20:05

HA - my money's on you too (in the desperate hope that that way it won't be me!!)

Icntoagd (ooh, you need to shorten that!) and HA...bugger, thats going to be me too...eek....panic....

Saucepanman · 09/11/2009 20:54

not me! Good god, the very thought! Shall I be mean and put my money on happyaccident too?! Will let you all know it's not me on Wednesday
