Hello everyone...

Had a positive test this morning, suspect due on 3rd June. Gulp! Very surprised as DD is only 9 months and it took me 2 years to conceive the first time around.

Anyone here to join teh long wait?

Hi, I'm so sorry for everyone with bad news.

Haven't been on for a while as I am feeling like total utter shit (excuse my french!!). I haven't been to work for the best part of last week and currently am confined to my bedroom as to me the rest of my house stinks! DD was home from school poorly yesterday and I had to go in the kitchen to make her some lunch and took one sniff and was throwing up outside the back door!

Touch wood, I haven't been sick yet today but I have been so thirsty cos I can't keep anything down. Went to the doctors yesterday and she said I was very dehydrated, had a bit of a cry too which is very unlike me. I just feel utterly awful at the moment. Like I just cannot function.

To top this all off my mother has gone into annoying mode. We don't get on at the best of times but she has told me I've got to start telling people I'm pregnant because I'm lying too much to everyone, that if I stop thinking about being sick all the time it'll get better. She doesn't 'know what I'm on about' cos it doesn't smell in our house!! She wants to come round and cook tea tonight and was going through a list of everything she has got in her freezer, which just all happen to be things i've gone off or that the kids won't eat but of course she's not very understanding about it. She just says "it won't matter what you eat if you say you don't enjoy any of it anyway".

I'm not being ungrateful I'm really not it's just she's so bloody overbearing and DH is quite happy to cook dinner for us and doesn't want her round here either.

Bloody hell, I just wanna go to sleep and wake up in about 4 or 5 weeks time!

Thanks for letting me vent.

cheekymonkeyno3 · 24/10/2009 13:20

hello i've only just joined mumsnet so please can i join?
i'm 25 and about 8 weeks with my 3rd baby due 2nd june i think. we already have a son who is 4 and daughter who is 2.

i've been reading the posts and i'm so sorry to hear there has been some sad news, my thoughts are with you.

i'm slightly scared myself as i have had 2 small bleeds and some pinky/brown discharge in the past 10 days and if it happens again i have to go to epu

i've also been having really bad all day sickness which has disappeared today isn't that a bad sign?

i told my husband to wait until 12 weeks to tell anyone but he didn't and now everyone knows

monthlymayhem · 24/10/2009 14:37

Hello! Can I sneak in as a late entrant Just got BFP this morning, and have worked out due date of 30th June. I'm 34 and have a 19mth ds.

Sorry to hear some on this thread have had bad news, I remember last time spending most of the first 12 weeks worried about every twinge and ache, so am expecting the same this time round. I also didn't really get any symptoms at all last time, so am keeping fingers crossed that this one will be the same.

Anyway nice to 'meet' you all

madamefreckle · 24/10/2009 15:43

Welcome beans33, Cheekymonkeyno3 and monthlymayhem! The more the merrier!

Hope everything's ok cheekymonkey but try not to worry too much. So far (touch wood), I'm a good news story as i had intermittant bleeding for at least a week and as far as i'm aware (e.g.feel gross and a tad podgy)everything's still on track. Fingers crossed for you. Try not to worry about your dh telling people either - annoying as it must be. If the worst happens, there'll be people there to support you.

Mampam - Your situation sounds hideous! I really hope you feel better soon and manage to keep your mum away if that's what you need to do for now! Mine is kind of similar in her 'get over it' attitude but doesn't offer to cook for us(thankfully as she's an abysmal cook!) She is just trying to be helpful though in her own way but i understand how you must wish to go into hibernation!

Clairedeloon - was so pleased to hear your hcg levels have gone up. /good luck vibes~~~

I'm off to breathe the fresh Devon air for a week. Have a super non-sicky week everyone

AllGoingSouth · 24/10/2009 20:31

Went to EPU yesterday - no heartbeat on scan so sent home to let nature take its course.

It was DS 3rd birthday today so that has taken my mind of things (mc started late last night)

Wishing everyone else good luck with their preganancys (will take myself of the list sometime tomorrow)

greensnail · 24/10/2009 21:28

So sorry AllGoingSouth thinking of you

BiscuitStuffer · 24/10/2009 21:42

Allgoingsouth I'm so sorry. It was going to be DC3 for me too and on the 1st June. nothing has happened with me yet - waiting for it to start. Is it manageable?

ClaireDeLoon · 24/10/2009 21:58

Allgoingsouth I'm very sorry

AllGoingSouth · 24/10/2009 22:55

Biscuitstuffer - this mc has been a lot easier than the first one I had - partly becuase I knew what to expect. This time (from dates 8 1/2 weeks)it has been like a heavy period for the first 24 hours. This may be TMI but you will pass a big clot (what would have been the placenta & sac) it doesn't hurt but was a big shock first time round.
The first mc I had was at 10 weeks and then I had awful bleeding (going through a big pad in about an hour) for 24 hours but after that it was fine. Personally I found that the best thing was to take myself off to bed for the day and take painkillers as you need them.
Am so sorry that you are going through this as well - the waiting for it to happen is (I find) far worse than the actual mc itself. Look after and be kind to yourself over the next few weeks.

Washersaurus · 24/10/2009 23:23

This thread is so sad at the moment . I just don't know what to say...

I find myself feeling very guilty, as I'm still unsure of how I feel about this pregnancy. I have been offered a long awaited teaching job this week and have been quietly (selfishly) wishing everything was 'normal', so I can start doing something for myself again after doing the SAHM thing for nearly 4.5 years.

Anyway, you have all been in my thoughts a lot this week x

Woofie · 25/10/2009 09:55

So sorry for you both biscuitstuffer and allgoingsouth. Hope you have lots of support and are able to take things a little bit easy.

Cadmum · 25/10/2009 16:09

I am sorry biscuitstuffer and allgoingsouth. Take care of yourselves. It is so hard to have a miscarriage when you just want to get on with having another baby.

My dh is off to Spain for 10 days and I have no clue how I will manage without him. BooHOO! I have done many stints on my own but I am feeling exhausted and wretched and my dcs don't know why yet. I can barely fathom that there is another 5 weeks of feeling nauseous ahead yet. I am really hoping for a positive outcome this time and almost hoping that it is twins so that this can be my last go-round. (I always imagined an even number but I don't fancy feeling this way again. How did I forget this feeling?)

HappyAccident · 25/10/2009 21:18

Hello ladies. I'd like to join the thread please. I'm afraid that I'm not posting under my usual name, as I am too known by RL people on here, but once I'm 'out' I'll reveal all.

I do know Cadmum (we were on regular threads together back in, errr, 2005) and a couple of others from bf threads.

My dates are a bit vague, but will estimate being due on 28th for now, and it will be dc3 for me. And I'm 36.

Very sorry to see that several have come and gone from the thread already, and hoping that you find peace and future joy.

Cadmum · 25/10/2009 22:19

Hello Happy!

Congratulations! (I think that I know who you are already... so let me have a guess before you are ready to out yourself.)

ArrghnBoooeee · 26/10/2009 07:27

Really sorry Allgoingsouth and biscuitstuffer

There is so much sadness on here

Celery · 26/10/2009 07:47

From what you've said Celery, we might know each other too if we were both using our old/normal names! Is your old name a secret?

GibberingGinger · 26/10/2009 09:22

Hello to all the new people joining. I was begining to get a bit lonely down at the end of June so its lovely to have some company down there.
